password encription
In one of the last updates, the password security has changed from allowing one to copy and paste the password into the dialogue box to requiring a manual typing of the password. When putting the password into a document for the client to open, there is always a chance to type the incorrect password and the document cannot be opened. When the document cannot be opened, I do not know what has changed from the proposed password. Having a copy and paste assures that the password in the document sent to the client is also the one securing the attached…

Right Click make current properties default, not permanent
Used to be when a text box was selected and the right click option "make current properties default" was chosen, that set the properties to all new text boxes permanently. Now I can chose this option, then change the text in a different text box and then next new text box that is created no longer has the default settings, it has the properties of the text box that was changed. Why have this option if it doesn't do what it says? This used to work in versions prior to Acrobat Pro DC 2019.012.20035. My idea, make it work like…

Highlighting
Hello. I regularly use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for reading PDFs for school. With some kinds, I can just highlight the text normally, and that works great. Congratulations and great job! However, sometimes my professors simply photocopy pages from a book, and I have to draw on highlights. Does that make sense? Now, here's the issue. Sometimes, when I draw it in a straight enough line, it automatically makes it straight. That's nice, HOWEVER, sometimes it doesn't follow the line of the text and doesn't match up with the way the text is on the page. I've attached a sample…

Anonymous review
Anonymous review (especially commenting) of PDF documents is an absolutely essential feature for academics. We are required to do anonymous peer reviews of manuscripts submitted for publication on a regular basis. This used to be simple, but is now impossible, unless one wishes to change each comment on a one-by-one basis. If you don't restore this basic functionality, you risk losing a huge group of users.

Change name of “Transparent” checkbox to “No Fill”
The name of the checkbox is confusing. “Transparent”, in the design field, means something totally different that what it does in Acrobat. Transparency can have degrees, and not so with a checkbox. The industry standard term that should be used is “No Fill”.
I wrote further explanation about why this is so confusing. http://documentgeek.blogspot.com/2019/09/acrobat-dc-how-to-have-drawing-markup.html
Users are clamoring for the ability to have No Fill, and they don’t know that it already exists because the naming is inconsistent and the feature is only implemented in 2 of the 4 different dialog boxes that are available to choose colors.
Attached are each…

Ability to have text boxes and callouts with choice of 2 default styles of properties
I would like to have Style 1 and Style 2 as choices for text boxes and callouts AND be able to have them as part of my quick tools. (For example, I want my comments that will cause changes to be in one color and my comments--which won't cause changes--be in another color.) Right now, I have one format (eg, red box with yellow fill) for changes. But I would like to be able to have another choice (eg, green box with blue fill) for comments that won't involve changes to the document.

Comment Tools / Custom Tools
I would like to be able to lock the Comment Tools and/or my personal Custom Tools to the top of the Toolbar so they automatically show up each time you open a .pdf file. I use the Comment Tools quite frequently and it would make it much easier if I don't have to add them each time I open a .pdf file. Also, it seems strange my personal Custom Tools show up on the right side of the file. I would think they would show up on the top Toolbar.

Formatting-independent pasting into sticky notes
I often look up word translations and paste them into sticky notes beside the text. It would be great if there was a short-cut (Cmd+Alt+Shift+V) like there is in Pages to paste content right into the standard formatting of sticky notes. Otherwise, the text pasted from a webpage will often be too large or will contain distracting hyperlinks (see attached). Thanks!

Add checkmark to multiple filtered Comments without also checking all the (unfiltered) comments in-between
When multiple comments contain the same text we can search for them and view them all, without seeing all other comments. However, if we then add a checkmark to all of these comments (by first selecting all of them and then clicking one of their checkmarks) all of the [hidden] comments (ones which didn't match the search) that appear on pages in-between are also given a checkmark. This is obvious if we have the 'Unchecked' filter selected, as when clearing the search many more comments have vanished, not just the ones which matched the search. Please fix it so that…

Font default setting ineffective for add text comment
A couple weeks ago I set my font in preferences/content editing/font options as 10 point Cambria. Every day the first time I type comments on a PDF the font that starts off is 12 point Helvetica. As far as I can tell Acrobat Standard DC makes no use of the information a user puts into preferences/content editing/font options.I don't care that much about whether I am typing in Helvetica versus Cambria but I correct the Acrobat font from 12 point to 10 point every workday. There are some features of your new Acrobat that I like better than the old…

Adding a detail view
It would be nice to add a "Detail Magnifying Glass" which will take a screen-shot of the selected part of the document and place it with the desired magnification level on the document for commenting or plain detailing just like engineering drafting applications.

Strip ALL formatting information from text pasted into a comment
When pasting text copied from a FrameMaker document into an Acrobat comment, ALL the system fonts are listed in the comment.
Current workaround is to paste the copied text into a text editor and then recopy the information from the text editor.

Tick box in comments disappeared after last update
I always used the tick box while reviewing, using a filter so that comments I processed also disappeared. It was an easy and intuitive way of editing the source text with the help of the comments in the PDF. After the last update, the tick box is gone and now hidden. You have to click the dots in the top right corner of the comment, then select 'Set status' and then click the status. That's THREE clicks instead of one. NOT user friendly, NOT intuitive, NO improvement. Please give me back my tick box!

Acrobat Comments is now a mess
There used to be lines in between each comment that help you see where one comment ended and the next one started. The new comments panel design is a mess that makes it hard to distinguish which comment is checked and which is not everything just flows together in one long indistinguishable mess. And for God’s sake bring back the old method of checking off a comment.

Acrobat DC Highlight text not working
I used to choose highlighter tool and highlight sentences. Now a vertical line appears and highlights a diamond.
This needs to be corrected! Complete BS that this does not work.
If this is done purposely than it illustrates how the human mind of younger people working in tech has lost touch with all reality.
Once again great software deteriorating and making getting work more troublesome and costing people jobs.
Hail climate change and more C02!
