  1. I would love to be able to customize the pop-up that appears when I select text. At present, it offers editing tools, but I don't use those. I use the markup tools, so in addition to the highlight tool I would love to have the "insert text" and "replace text" (or whatever they're now called) there, plus the call-out box. Possibly one or two other tools I use a lot.

This would save me a lot of time as I would not have to mouse over to the toolbar, even though I've added the tools I use most often. Especially…

  2. When I want to replace text, I right click on text and select "Add Note to Replace Text". Then I start typing. But the first few characters of what I type are always missing from the note that is generated. Please fix this lag.

  3. When working with a document in different devices (in my case Android and windows PC devices), the default color palettes for commenting are different. They should be similar to ensure the colors are the same across any device.

  5. It would be great to be able to batch edit comments in the Comments pane. For example, to use the Search function and find all comments with something like a common spelling error or incorrect text, then use a Find and Replace function across all the found comments to replace the text with new text.

  6. I use the comments a lot. With this new update, you can't use [space bar] to grab and scroll in the comments section, like you can do in the section on the left where your document is.

And the arrows don't work well either, because if you use them in the long list of comments, they jump further in a way you get lost!

If the scroll bar wasn't hidden and a bit wider in the comments section, this would solve this problem partially. Using [space] to grab and navigate would be best. I think it was like that before...

  7. This is not an idea. It is a problem with your newest version of Acrobat Pro (version 20360). The auto speller does not work in when typing a comment. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times with no success. I have also spent more than an hour on a remote session with tech support. After all of that, the tech checked his system and confirmed that the speller does not work on his system as well. Let's hope this issue is resolved ASAP (I can't imagine that your developers are not aware of this already . . .)

  8. Steps to duplicate:
Chooses Draw freehand from the toolbar.
Click and draw freehand writing by drawing numbers, dashes and ABCs in between with clicking and unclicking creating non-continuous lines making up the characters.
Notice that sometimes a Pop-up appears beneath where I am trying to continue for Add note & Delete.

    Workaround:
Wait a few seconds for Add note & Delete pop-up to disappear, or start drawing in a location without the pop-up. (Or revert to old Acrobat experience by choosing Disable new Acrobat from the Menu.)

  11. When deleting a parent comment that has a reply, please delete the entire thread of comments. Currently, when deleting a parent comment, only the parent comment gets deleted but the reply stays and becomes its own sticky note. Please fix this bug.

  12. I would like to use a keyboard command to post a comment, including adding text, marking text for deletion or adding a stamp.

Hitting command-save to save the doc works, but I might not always want to do that (also, that's not especially intuitive!). Using the mouse to navigate to the "post" button is inconvenient and time consuming.

  13. In 2020, Adobe claimed to have provided a fix. But did only half of it. Only for files with existing comments was the Comments toolbar automatically opened.
But I mark students' scripts all day long. And for every one I have to open the comments toolbar.
Why cannot I choose to have the comments toolbar automatically opened (or not, or if there are existing comments)?

  14. I was signing a document this evening online and I noticed my e- signature had been Extra Forged. Like they didn't have my last name so used my last four after my first one. Since you are the only one I'm aware of that was all hacked in remotely cybercrimin up my network. Friendly Reminder Partner, Illegal is not just a sick bird. Due to my Signature being compromised, I will not be able to approve documents temporarily, thanks for understanding. Be Safe

  16. BUG - When using the Add Text Comment icon within the left menu bar, copying and pasting normal English text characters from a previously saved .pdf file creates illegible Cyrillic characters in new .pdf paste destination??!! Previous version of Adobe Acrobat has "PASTE PLAIN TEXT" feature (as all the logical Microsoft Office suite products have). Copying & pasting basic file and accounting information on monthly invoices from the last month to the next month. Please have qualified software developer/engineer reincorporate "PASTE PLAIN TEXT".

  17. New Adobe UI has removed the ability to type over text in order to add PDF mark-up. Now you have to right-click and select 'Add Note to Replace Text'. This is very time-consuming for editors. Previous UI was much better.

My colleagues and I have reverted to the old version for now but hope the new UI will include the ability to type over text to add PDF mark-up.

  18. Adobe needs to create a functionality that distinguishes highlights from comments. I have a long PDF with several thousand highlights, and it's nearly impossible to find my comments (which is the point of adding them) because you can't filter solely for comments when they're attached to highlights. if Kindle can do it, so can Adobe! Please add this feature; it is long overdue and makes operating within PDF so tedious.

  20. I think it would be beneficial to allow users to set colors for specific commenting tools or tools in general (strike through, text box, line, rectangle etc.) based off a selected profile. I am constantly switching specific tools between blue green or red based on the task, document, or customer i am working with. Allowing a quick change profile selection ( can also include signatures etc.) would allow people to have a real customizable system. If you are working contract for multiple companies doing side jobs this can let you keep track of each profile and their requirements for colors…
