  1. Mi idea is....take more care, and check properly before issuing an automatic update. Is a product that works too much to ask? It's like having a washing machine that receives an unwanted, unscheduled service that stops it working every time after the service engineer leaves. Adobe used to be so good in this respect....what happened??

  2. Typing into the text while the comment menu is open usually activates the relevant comment tools (eg. striketrough, add text etc.) but this function seems to be broken since the last update.
Working like this – having to choose a new tool each time from the menu (three mouse clicks as opposed to no clicks) – is highly frustrating when you use Acrobat for heavy professional editing jobs.
This is my main use of acrobat. Please fix asap.

  3. When I'm reviewing my highlights in the Comments pane and want to highlight something, keyboard clicking U instead creates a new comment. When I first select something and then click U.. it's striken through instead of highlighted? That is the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve!

I have to first cursor-select the Highlight tool to be able to properly keyboard switch again between other tools. I understand that giving U different functions in different contexts makes sense but this very much seems to be a bug.

  5. Since I work one copy I like to mark my redactions and when complete I save a copy to apply the redactions and then I remove all the redactions to have a clean copy. I may not want to remove all comments, just the redaction boxes

I do this so if I remove pages I don't have to do so on multiple copies and try to keep track of where I am.

  6. When save PDF as JPG format, we can see which has comment stickers on it by default, I think it doesn't make sense since JPG format is not the proper way for reviewing all the comments. Maybe it can be a optional setting for comment existing when save as a JPG.

  7. Please allow the user to draw a straight line with the highlight tool. Trying to track a straight line through text with the mouse is nearly impossible. It blows my mind that this feature is not available in a PDF reader that costs $180 per year

    Hi,
Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update (21.007.20099) containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. You may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

More information about this release is here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html
Please try it out and let us know your feedback!
Thanks for your patience and support!

    Regards,

    Arvind

  9. For the last two weeks or since the last "visible" Acrobat Pro update, the Comment Set Status flyouts don't show up at all (but sometimes they do). Turning on the check box in the app preferences does not "wake up" the feature (an idea of mine that did not work ...besides, trying to toggle the check box is also dead). I had posted this problem here already (see below) but the Admin, Arvind, marked it "solved" because I told him it was... but it was not.

    https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/44150748-set-status-dead-after-latest-update

This issue seems to show up intermittently; sometimes, it resolves itself after relaunching…

  10. When the comment pane is sorted by date, the date group heading shows one day earlier than the actual date of the comments.
A comment dated "Jun 26" will show under a group heading of "6/25/2020"
A comment dated today (showing a time only, no date) will be grouped under a date heading "9/25/2021" (when the date is actually 9/26/2021).
    Steps:
Create a comment (sticky note or add note to replace text)
    Sort comments by date
Expected: today's comment 5:16 pm grouped under "9/26/2021"
Actual: today's comment 5:16 pm grouped under "9/25/2021"

  11. With the selection tool selected and the comments pane open, you should be able to click and type anywhere in your PDF, and the relevant text edit tool will be applied (strikethrough, replace, insert). This is a great timesaver. On my Mac, though, this works until I press one of the 'problem' keys – such as e, y, i, d, h, j – at which point no mark-up appears and my keyboard is disabled (including the arrow keys) until I close Acrobat and reopen it.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this bug? It doesn't…

  13. I have been using Fill & Sign to annotate and mark academic assessment tasks. I noticed that when you click on "Ab" to enter a comment, it remembers previous comments you have entered, which can be very time-saving when you have lots of similar tasks to mark. Here's my question:
Using this "Ab" commenting tool, can you build up different comment banks over time for different applications, can you upload, download, edit such comment banks, and if so what format of file would you need to use? For example, being able to have a simple text file with comments for…

  14. I came in with a notification to log into Adobe Creative Suite for profile setup. After running the the dialog box to set up the profile, I lost all comments on shared Acrobat files. That is over 5 hours of review comments lost. Is there a way to retrieve those comments? I have no interest in reviewing a 90 page document again.

  16. This topic shows as resolved but it isn't (for years now...)

PLEASE Don't make the user go through a menu to check off a comment! You DOUBLE the time it takes to go through comments.
PLEASE ELIMINATE the need to go through a dropdown menu just to check off a comment.

IT WAS FINE to have a checkbox. It took HALF THE TIME.

  17. Hi there
I got an Issue, where when opening the Comment-Tool not all Comments where visible. First I had to scroll through all pages to get them in the overview. This issue stays even if the comments got the check and the document is closed and opened again.

Attached you find the file with the Error.

Environment: macOS 11.4, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC V 2021.005.20058.

Fix this issue as soon as possible. otherwise this overview is not reliable

  20. When viewing a document that has comments from a year ago, it would be helpful if the comments had the option to include the year of original posting in order to differentiate. For example, when a document has a comment from July 23, 2020, it only shows as "July 23" within Adobe, making the comment seem more recent.
