  1. Text entered using the Commenting feature shows up with some level of transparency less than 100% - I would guess it is 50-60% transparent. And I can't adjust it to show 100%. in order to get 100% black or colored text, I need to use the Editing feature.

  2. A file may have many types of comments, many colors, many authors, etc. If one wants to hide only one variety (e.g., the color red), one has to select all but the red dot and then press the Apply button for the filtered selections.
This would be simpler if one could select only the red dot and press a new Exclude button/function. Further, Apply and Exclude could be combined to mimic an electrical (ON | OFF) switch.

For very large files with many comments, filtering consumes a lot of time. For shared files on servers, the time is magnified by…

  3. I have an existing comment, and I use ... Copy Text to copy it.

Then I go to another part of my PDF file, select the text and right click to use "Add Note to Text". In the comment text box, I right click and choose Paste Text (or alternatively, I press CTRL-V to use the default Windows "paste" mechanism).

My new comment ends up with the copied comment text PLUS an extra carriage return (cursor is on a newline). That is NOT what I wanted! Why does it add the extra carriage return? If I am just trying to…

  4. For a few months now, when I apply superscript format to comment texts, the correct format appears, but only until I save the comment, at which time subscript is applied instead.

  5. I copied the following because this user said it better than me...except he was referencing Reader, not Acrobat Pro. I am an Acrobat Pro DC subscriber. I relied on this feature in Pro 8.1 until recently upgrading.

COPIED: I almost always use adobe ACROBAT in exactly the same way: I mostly read scientific papers and use the comment tools to highlight and/or make notes for myself. This means that almost every time I open up ACROBAT, I will want the comment tools open and it's irritating to have to re-open the comment tools every single time. #FirstWorldProblems I know, but…

  6. It used to be that the comment filter would continuously update. You ruined that feature two years ago. I am waiting for you to put it back. Dealing with hundreds of comments is now clunky and painful.

  7. When using the pen, allow the user to scroll, etc, by using a finger touch. At the very least, make scrolling with a two finger touch possible. Otherwise, you need to keep switching tools when reading through and commenting on the PDF.

  8. Adobe needs to stop opening comment pop up box once a PDF is opened. This occurs when I PDF after an AutoCAD drawing. I do not have administrative rights to download a patch or re-download the software. I just need the option to turn off in the Preferences dialogue box.

  12. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. There is no way to print just the comments in my PDF. If I highlight or underline something in my PDF, I cannot print just the comments. I can extract pages containing the comments, but they are not in a properly formatted form. Can you fix this issue ASAP?

  13. Please. Get rid of the text formatting covering up the active text box that's being typed into. This drives me insane, and happens nearly every time I'm commenting on a PDF. Please see attached image. The text box I'm typing in is totally covered by the formatting box.

All one has to do to reproduce is to add a text box and move it towards the top of the screen.

I have Windows 10, using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015.006.30482.

I want the formatting box to never cover the text box I am typing in.

  14. Using Text Callout after a Comment Tool (Line, Segmented Line, etc.) will not allow typing immediately, despite a blinking cursor. The user must first click the Text Callout area again before being allowed to type.

  15. Bug Fix needed: Comments Tool Opens automatically when I open any PDF. This is annoying and tedious to have to close it every time I open another PDF. Please fix this and stop Comments Tool from opening automatically.

  16. One of the most common things we do as art directors, design directors and creative directors is to comment on PDF's.

In doing that we have to make boxes or circles to show where we want to make changes.

Almost every PDF editor under the sun has Red Stroke, NO Fill as default for this reason.

In Acrobat I have to click 3 times before I can get to set any object as no fill.

I'm really happy to be able to change fill colour of my rectangle or circle, but at least have one of the colours in the…

  17. The fact that you do not have the option to permanently keep the comment toolbar permanently open is a CONSTANT source of annoyance and should be changed! Open, closed, open, closed, open, closed, open, closed..... It's insanity! And opening the toolbar is laggy to top it off. I see comments that are 4 years old on this topic and Adobe has not adapted to users wishes. Please change it back to the way it used to be or provide the CHOICE to have it always open if that's your preference. Seriously.

  20. I often use the draw polygon tool so the text is precisely identifed. To draw the polygon, as you know, I have to draw a line, stop, draw the next line, stop, draw the 3rd line, stop, etc. If I want to highlight that same text, I can simply start at one spot and drag my mouse over all the text, which is very convenient. Why cannot the draw polygon tool have a similar function? I would select "draw polygon", put my cursor at starting place, drag to ending place, and the polygon would be drawn.
