  1. Here's a unique idea. Software idiots at Apple start talking to the software idiots at Adobe! Work out your problems on the company level before forcing your bad programming on your customers in the form of buggy forced upgradates!!!!!! My computer used to work wonderfully, now it's just a ********** brick because of forced updates!!

  2. Used to be when a text box was selected and the right click option "make current properties default" was chosen, that set the properties to all new text boxes permanently. Now I can chose this option, then change the text in a different text box and then next new text box that is created no longer has the default settings, it has the properties of the text box that was changed. Why have this option if it doesn't do what it says? This used to work in versions prior to Acrobat Pro DC 2019.012.20035. My idea, make it work like…

  3. When copying text from a dark mode app on Mac (Mail app) and pasting it into the comment box in Acrobat the the formatting stays which creates white text on a white comment box, ie invisible. The workaround is to highlight the text, right click, and "clear formatting". This adds lots of time as we do this frequently. See screenshots for a better explanation. Thanks!

  4. Would you disable, or at least provide an option to disable, a popup when highlighting a text? This is very annoying because this occludes text I am currently reviewing. Please do not interfere with the user's intended task. It is up to the users who will decide what to do with the highlighted text - after reviewing it thoroughly. Blocking it with the pop up interferes the work process.

  5. When comparing 2 versions of a PDF, some of the items the program highlights come up as changes where there isn't any. For example, in one section, a piece of text had been moved a few millimeters, and yet the program registered it as a completely new piece of text, which is false.

What are the rules on how Acrobat identifies changes between 2 PDFs? And can this be altered by Adobe and/or the user?

  6. A couple weeks ago I set my font in preferences/content editing/font options as 10 point Cambria. Every day the first time I type comments on a PDF the font that starts off is 12 point Helvetica. As far as I can tell Acrobat Standard DC makes no use of the information a user puts into preferences/content editing/font options.I don't care that much about whether I am typing in Helvetica versus Cambria but I correct the Acrobat font from 12 point to 10 point every workday. There are some features of your new Acrobat that I like better than the old…

  8. When I create a text box and then have to move it, no amount of single or double clicking will let me type text in the box. You can see in the attached movie that the cursor appears briefly, but then it disappears.

The only way to deal with it is to delete the box, recreate it, and hope that it will let you type text this time.

(The problem with that **** trash can has been covered separately.)

I work on books and have to make these text boxes hundreds of times a day. The added time it takes…

  9. I used to choose highlighter tool and highlight sentences. Now a vertical line appears and highlights a diamond.

This needs to be corrected! Complete BS that this does not work.

If this is done purposely than it illustrates how the human mind of younger people working in tech has lost touch with all reality.

Once again great software deteriorating and making getting work more troublesome and costing people jobs.

Hail climate change and more C02!

  10. I frequently add comments to drawing files created in Adobe format. It works great if a person can remember to save the file every time changes are made. If he can't because the user gets side tracked and opens another file and experiences a adobe crash everything is lost. When users start editing an adobe file, it should work just like Word where it auto saves every so often so that if a crash occurs, all the comments are restored also and not just the original file.

  11. After sending a document for review, I tried to print the document with the comments showing, it will only show the comments on a separate page. There should be a way to print the document with the comments on the same page AND in the spot, or linked to the spot where the comments were made. Example - how the page is shown in Acrobat with the comments to the right and the spot where the comment was made visible so we can tell where it is referencing.

  12. Can you select Stamps, particularly favourites to be all always visible as opposed to having to open two menus to select a new one. Previous versions had this functionality, not sure if it's gone or hard to find now.

  13. The new option for putting comment to the side of the document is causing more problems. I have many many comments, often in horizontal documents, to edit for indesign files. Have to make the window so large to see comments it's difficult to go back and forth. Please make an option to open comments inside the document page as before. Thank you.

  14. Have to copy text from Acrobat pdf comments constantly. It is impossible to read when the comment box is open (clicked to copy text). Why does it have to change size from the open comment column when clicked? Please fix this, makes jobs take twice as long as they need to.

  16. In previous versions of Acrobat (CC2015 era) you could adjust the Color Legend when running the Compare tool.

This feature is now missing from current iterations of Acrobat.

  17. It would be incredibly useful to be able to set keyboard shortcuts for the "Set Status: None, Accepted, Completed, Cancelled, and Rejected" commenting tools.

Set status, to me is an advanced feature used to enable more efficient workflows, adding keyboard shortcuts would add even more efficiency.

  20. My old adobe used to keep the comments tab open. This updated version closes it constantly, anytime I press escape out of one of the comment tools and it's a pain. I do a lot of markups using adobe and it makes me want to just print and hand-redline the drawings instead. PLEASE bring back the "always open" option for the comments tab...
