  1. When right-clicking a comment in Acrobate DC, I get the option to delete it, but to mark it as 'resolved', I have to use the comment column. Deleting a comment is not preferred, because it leads to the reviewers thinking they have missed a spot, while a resolved comment still gets highlighted when they go the document. It would be much easier for all those quick fixes to be able to resolve them on the spot instead of having to look them up and resolve them in the comments pane.

  2. After the update, no longer able to change font settings of comments (ie font size, font color, etc.). After reaching out to help desk, it was indicated that this can only be done in the "Edit pdf" tool which only works once comments are embedded in the document. This does not make sense as I still need the comments to be "live" so that further edits can be made in the future. This is especially upsetting as I work on pdf's that are 24X36 and need the comments to stand out but the size is so small, it gets lost…

  3. Hello. I regularly use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for reading PDFs for school. With some kinds, I can just highlight the text normally, and that works great. Congratulations and great job! However, sometimes my professors simply photocopy pages from a book, and I have to draw on highlights. Does that make sense? Now, here's the issue. Sometimes, when I draw it in a straight enough line, it automatically makes it straight. That's nice, HOWEVER, sometimes it doesn't follow the line of the text and doesn't match up with the way the text is on the page. I've attached a sample…

  4. The name of the checkbox is confusing. “Transparent”, in the design field, means something totally different that what it does in Acrobat. Transparency can have degrees, and not so with a checkbox. The industry standard term that should be used is “No Fill”.

I wrote further explanation about why this is so confusing. http://documentgeek.blogspot.com/2019/09/acrobat-dc-how-to-have-drawing-markup.html

Users are clamoring for the ability to have No Fill, and they don’t know that it already exists because the naming is inconsistent and the feature is only implemented in 2 of the 4 different dialog boxes that are available to choose colors.

    Attached are each…

  5. Customizing the comment icon with numbers so user can see the order of comments. This will be helpful for UX designers.

  6. Anonymous review (especially commenting) of PDF documents is an absolutely essential feature for academics. We are required to do anonymous peer reviews of manuscripts submitted for publication on a regular basis. This used to be simple, but is now impossible, unless one wishes to change each comment on a one-by-one basis. If you don't restore this basic functionality, you risk losing a huge group of users.

  7. When copying text from a dark mode app on Mac (Mail app) and pasting it into the comment box in Acrobat the the formatting stays which creates white text on a white comment box, ie invisible. The workaround is to highlight the text, right click, and "clear formatting". This adds lots of time as we do this frequently. See screenshots for a better explanation. Thanks!

  8. A couple weeks ago I set my font in preferences/content editing/font options as 10 point Cambria. Every day the first time I type comments on a PDF the font that starts off is 12 point Helvetica. As far as I can tell Acrobat Standard DC makes no use of the information a user puts into preferences/content editing/font options.I don't care that much about whether I am typing in Helvetica versus Cambria but I correct the Acrobat font from 12 point to 10 point every workday. There are some features of your new Acrobat that I like better than the old…

  9. My old adobe used to keep the comments tab open. This updated version closes it constantly, anytime I press escape out of one of the comment tools and it's a pain. I do a lot of markups using adobe and it makes me want to just print and hand-redline the drawings instead. PLEASE bring back the "always open" option for the comments tab...

  10. When I place a comment, a trash can icon or sticky note icon appears, but those icons only get in the way of the content I'm trying to comment on. It would be great to be able to disable that feature.

  11. When using the add comment text tool the text appears normal when initially typed but fades when clicked away from. The support agents I spoke with said there should be an opacity slider for that tool however there is only the option to change color.

  13. There's no problem when words are typed in serial order.

However if you insert some Korean characters in the middle of any strings and 'enter the SPACE key', the last one of the charaters is entered forcefully at the end of the strings.

It is impossble to add or insert some Korean words in the middle of the strings in comments. So we have to use ctrl+C and ctrl+V. it's really uncomfortable. Please fix it. All the versions of acrobat including the latest version have the same bug.

  14. I need to be able to manipulate multiple non-adjacent comments. Example: select many comments and unlock all, or mark all with checkmark. Just as shift+click will select all comments between the first and last click, ctrl+click should select one and another without affecting those in between.

  15. In the new version 19.10 (April 2019) you deleted the checkbox of accepting a comment. Now I have to do a right click and navigate to "accept". Why? Please make it possible again!

  16. When I open my coworker's copy of a PDF with most of the 500+ comments checked as addressed, I don't see his check marks. I have Version 2019.019.010.20100. He has an earlier version. The commenting feature no longer makes collaboration easy. Is this a result of the update?

  17. Steps:
    1. Turn off tabbed browsing (if it's not already)
    2. Open multiple documents, at least one with comments.
    3. Open the comments panel and click a comment to select it.
    4. Close the window.

    Expected result:
One document closes or asks to save if modified.

    Result:
    Acrobat crashes

  18. Hi all

(Mac Acrobat Pro - all up to date)

In the comments column the selected comment goes a slightly darker grey.

For me this still does not make this comment stand out enough.

Is there a way to change this to something more prevalent?

    Thanks in advance

    DC

  19. It is not intuitive any more to bring up the panel on the right showing all comments in the document. I figured it out eventually, but should be a much easier, more user-friendly option.

  20. Every time I want to highlight something, the highlighted words are non-continuous, it is very laggy and only highlights part of the text I've selected, such as a few letters. It is very annoying as I am a student and highlighting the key points during lectures is very important for my studies. Hope that Adobe can fix this as I really like Acrobat's full compatibility with PDF files but I would like to have seamless highlighting as well.
