  3. When "Promote Gray to CMYK Black is selected, all neutral and near-neutral grays in an RGB files are converted into a predominantly black color.

When this function is disabled, the grays are converted into CMYK as encoded in the target ICC profile.

The expected behavior is that only grayscale images are moved to the black channel of a CMYK image.

The only explanation in Acrobat's online User Guide is as follows:

"Promote Gray To CMYK Black - Converts device gray to CMYK."

This function should not change the way an RGB image is converted into CMYK. This conversion should be…

  5. Need a true Autosave function (NOT AUTORECOVER).
Some pdf's I'm editing need to be saved to their folder every X minutes. I have the so-called "autosave" set up in preferences, but this only works in the event your system crashes or shuts down. I need one that simply saves every so often. Sometimes I make a mistake while editing and in that event, I close the pdf and re-open it to load the last saved version. But I don't always remember to save frequently enough. MS Office has this type of autosave, why not Adobe?

  7. I don't know if this is because I'm relatively new to Acrobat but I'm finding the interface to be quite counter-intuitive. If I want to zoom or pan using the mouse, I have to select the Hand tool, but then select a different tool if I want to move left or right? For some reason the hand tool won't actually move me around the document, which I would have thought was its primary function. Why can't there be a single tool that allows me to zoom in and out, and move around the document at the same time? This would…

  9. Its very annoying that you can't replace a page in Acrobat without losing page numbers, text boxes and images. This would be very helpful. Also just trying to copy and paste a text box is an absolute headache.

  10. Please add a new option to turn-on an automatic "EDIT PDF" while opening the file for a specified no. of pages. This will help searching a large number of scanned documents programmatically using VBA or C++.

  12. windows explorer losing focus after deleting a page and saving the pdf file.

If you delete a page the focus of that page in explorer is lost after saving that file causing you to lose your place in the explorer window.

  13. This feature request proposes the addition of a keyboard shortcut in Acrobat to promote/demote bookmark levels. Currently, demoting a bookmark can be done easily by dragging it to a lower level, but promoting it requires a two-step process. With this new shortcut, users could efficiently reorganize their bookmarks by quickly moving them up or down the hierarchy. This feature would be particularly useful when dealing with scanned files that lack structure information, but require a hierarchical set of bookmarks for easy navigation.

  14. I'm trying to report a bug in that Adobe will not type the letter f while editing a document. When I fill in the problem the option is to post it to this forum, which is NOT what I want to do. But, while I am here, does anyone know how to fix this?

  15. Hi I have 800 pages which I am dividing into separate pages. At the top left of each sheet is an article number. I want Acrobat to be able to read the number and name the file with the unique item number.

  17. Maintain page label numbering for each pdf when combining pdfs.
This is for combining court transcripts that are prepared using block numbering pursuant to California Code 8.144. Each day of court proceedings is assigned a 300-page block, so if one court date has 130 pages of transcript, page 130 would be labeled 130-300. The next page number would be page 301. Pdfs for each date are then combined for a given case into one Pdf. The page labels with Adobe are not maintained after combining the pdfs, so what was labeled page 130-300 becomes page 131.

  19. Link Option
when created a hyperlink for a page view option and selected a page from another pdf and saved, the default option to open the hyperlink when clicked is set to "Windows set by user prefrence". There should be an option to set it to any option available there.
All the other parameters are saved as per the last saved prefrences, only this doesnt change.
Hope you would look in to this and do the needful and its the best PDF software.

  20. Option to Increase/Decrease font size (similar to Microsoft Word)

This will very useful when we are typing superscripts/subscripts

For example (as attached), if I have typed in V with subscript "in", and I wanted to increase the font size after, the subscript "in" will have the same font size as the main letter V.

I would like an option to increase/decrease the font size of the entire paragraph while maintaining the relatively smaller sizes of the subscripts/superscripts (e.g. size 16 becomes size 18, size 12 becomes size 14).

Microsoft Word has recognized this to be an important function such that…
