  1. It would be nice if we could select a certain tool (like comment or combine or organize) which can then be automatically selected when opening a new pdf. e.g., sometimes i need to organize the pages of 200 different pdf's, so when i open the next pdf the organize tool would automatically be selected and i could immediatly select the pages to delete.
i hope i explained this properly, would be a nice feature and it's not that big a deal.

    thanks in advance.

  3. I would love to have the ability to select an embedded font of your choosing and change its formatting across the entire document. Enfocus PitStop allows you to do global font replacement, but adding the ability to change size, color, and other formatting would be a major time-saver.

    Thanks,
    Brian

  4. I create stamps and place them in my stamp pulldown menu. They remain there for the rest of the day. I log off my PC at night. Log back on the morning and open Adobe Acrobat DC. Open a PDF and try to stamp with one of my create stamps. The ones that were at the top of the pulldown as a favorite yesterday is no longer there. I then have to open the stamp and make it a favorite again.

  5. When I edit a pdf, Acrobat refuses to let me save it. It tells me I'm not authorized to do that. I save it under a different name and then try to delete the file that I don't want, and it won't move to the trash can either. If I try to overwrite an existing pdf with a new file of the same name, it says it can't do it. It won't work until I open task manager and stop acrobat and then try. I cannot do this every hour at work. I really want to get the 2018 version…

  6. The only option to directly enter text surrounded by a shape is in Comments - or go back to square 1 and reimport the document from Word.
Allow the text entered in Edit PDF to be covered by a shape with optional properties like transparency or colored border and background.

  7. It would be very helpful if a brightness / contrast filter could be applied to pdf's that have come from scans. This would allow poor quality scans to be quickly enhanced to improve readability and contrast

  8. Want to remove hyperlinks from pdf. Enter "edit pdf" ›› chose: links ›› pop-up notice "cannot undo action, wanna continue" ›› YES ›› in remove link-box, chose: all ›› New pop-up notice: "in total 0 hyperlinks was removed"

I've tried different types of pdf documents with hyperlinks, all with the same result - the links are still active!!!

  10. I am using Windows 10 and Acrobat DC.

Issue: I am unable to crop a page because the Set Page Box window does not have a scroll bar. So I cannot scroll down to where the OK button would be to execute the action.

  11. In addition to just an eraser, I have found it very useful to select an area and either erase inside or outside the area. I use this a lot in Nuance's Paperport. I too work with old documents and newspapers. Erase outside comes in handy to clean up staples, tears, smudges, etc. on the borders. Erase inside comes in handy to clean up sections of a document or unwanted newspaper articles near the desired article.

  12. When I open a PDF or create a new one it's not working. All I see is gray pages with no images on them. This is on the thumbnails and the full pages. I cannot use this version at all.

  14. I set up a simple action to crop files to some specific measurements. These are magazine pages, so all need the same crop. The action wizard manages about 10 files and then crashes. When it crashes it corrupts the file it was currently working on, so I have to generate that one again for the next attempt. As our magazine has up to 600 pages, this is a huge problem. It seems to happen every time I try. I am on a Mac running the latest Mojave version.

  15. I attempted to run the "Recognize Text In This File" command on a file with digital signatures and received a random "This operation is not permitted" error (see screenshot) which may in itself be a bug. But then I checked "Ignore future errors in this document" and hit OK, and received the same popup, with the "Ignore future errors" box checked, for each subsequent error in the document until it reached the last page. I thought this was strange.

  16. Acrobat DC, Windows
If I open a PDF which I protected myself with a password and I enter the password to temporarily disable the protection, I should be able to edit the PDF the way I want, but I'm not. I cannot mark, not draw anything. I'm forced to save an unprotected copy. This is paradox and stupid!

  18. I see that Adobe Acrobat Pro DC only uses one core of the many cores today in PC.

For example if I use OCR or improving documents, it takes a lot of time. Page per page is done using only one core.

Please update the software that it uses more cores (like adobe premiere does). This will drastically improve the performance and our efficiency.

  19. This is not an idea. I am not able to uncheck headers and footers option after comparing two pdfs. Because of this I'll have to go through obvious header and footer changes, which is a waste of time.

  20. it happened unexpectedly - i can not trace the trigger. ever since, selecting text/graphics in PDF DC produces pixelated multicolor mosaic that makes it difficult to spot lines/text elements
