BUG: optimizing file changes page labels
Over the past several months, we have been having issues with page labeling. We combine single pdf's to one file, change the page labels as needed with new name, save, and when we optimize the file the page labeling changes. So, if I have pages 1-25, page 26 new page label (ie insert1), then the next page shows up as page 26 and not 27 as it was in file before we optimized. PLEASE bring back the ALIGN OBJECTS function. STOP removing key features. Do you actually use the product. How would you even consider removing this feature?

Adobe doesn't suggest correct font for editing.
When editing a document, adobe always suggest Minion Pro as the editing font.
Adobe should suggest the most closely associated font to the fonts of the documents being edited.
I waste hours and hours to find the font.
I AM SICK OF MINION PRO, PLEASE JUST DELETE THAT FONT, and bring in the capability of suggesting the correct font.1 vote -
OCR - Modifying
I have OCR'd a lot of old newspapers. I have made the OCR and I want do edit the results. So I have my bit-map picture behind the text I want to edit. When I delete some text ans save my job, the part of the bitmap picture I have OCR'd is also deleted (or is invisible). Create a pdf, secure it password protection:
Provide a password to open the file and (User password)
Restrict editing and select changes allowed to any except extracting pages
Enter change permissions password (author password)
Save the document and close it
Open the secured pdf, provide the user password below should be the security settings.

Please include a spell check for Acrobat pro DC and have a table making option too.

Files that I personally created are being password protected randomly.
PDF files that I created are being password protected randomly. This is a major issue because i need to be able to edit/merge these files for work. I did not set up or request a password to be added so I have no idea what password it is looking for.
2 votesSorry for the inconvenience, though this sounds very strange. Can you kindly share the steps you are following to create the pdf. I am asuming it is asking for a password when you are trying to reopen it later – correct me if it is not so.
Also share the version of the software you are using as well as the version of the Operating system. -
Add dynamic filename in header or footer
How can a dynamic field for the filename be added to a footer. There is a button for page number & date only. This is a huge deficiency.

Text turns to wingdings
When editing templates previously created, the text field-area moves and includes different parts of the text even if they were in completely different boxes.

Adobe Acrobat add headers to user specify pages
Currently, Adobe Acrobat only allow users to add headers to "all pages in range", "to even pages only" or "to odd pages only". It'll be great if Adobe Acrobat can add more flexibility and allow users to specify single pages and pages in range in the same window.

All the editing tools are grayed out and not accessible. This is the default no matter what type of pdf I pull up. Even ones that I made using adobe. Why is this and what is the solution?

Combine use of stylus and fingerpint
I do a lot of pdf commenting, and I use a stylus/pen on a touch screen laptop to make this easier. The problem is that once I turn on the highlighter tool, I can't use my finger to scroll through the document, because Acrobat doesn't distinguish between the finger input and the stylus input. So I have to manually switch back and forth between the highlight tool and the arrow tool. Most other touch-capable PDF programs distinguish between finger input and stylus input, allowing you to scroll through the document with your finger and then highlight as needed. Is there…

Clumsy control of tools display
The placement and removal of tool symbols on the display on the top of the page is hard to control and unnecessarily complicated. It is clear how to add tools to the display by selecting the upward arrow, but why can't I remove tools in a similar manner? Why are the 'custom quick tools' hidden behind two other menu items? Ideally, one should be able to replace the displayed items by dragging their symbols on and off the display bar.
