  2. I am trialing Adobe Acrobat to see if it will do what I want. I've been scanning a printed text of my own authorship, then converting the pdf into Word so that I can edit it. OK to start with but now it says "Save As didn't wotk. File not saved'. How can I correct this? Prof. Brian Vickers

  4. Export to Excel as a fixed width? Or even to text as fixed width. Will assist with merging columns during export.

  5. When exporting to excel, there is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH wrong formatting specifically with merging cells or entering an entire page from the pdf file into cells A1 - A5 that are merged and centered with text wrapped.

Can the pdf exporter to excel actually work so if I have a pdf file with a report that is a table 10 columns by 20 rows actually go into excel the same way and not end up being 15 columns and 8 rows due to all the excel cells merging.

  6. Every week my team members print approximately a 280-page pdf of medical billing. Next, each member prints 280 pages and combs through the pdf for certain billing codes they have been assigned to enter. My hope is that with Acrobat DC there is an automated or even just a quick way to sort the 280-page pdf for specific criteria (number or word) and then export to a new, much smaller pdf that only contained the data members sort by.

  8. We are looking for years a way to export an xliff or intermediate file like XML from adobe acrobat, translate it and import it back.

Could you add an option like this in future releases?

    Thanks!

  9. Found a bug when converting a Spread sheet to PDF it has less room now and cuts off a whole addition row of the spreadsheet. I've been converting the same spreadsheet for 3 years and now it cuts off the last column. So, now there is less room you have to export from a spreadsheet.

  10. I have a Mac and a PC, both with Acrobat DC Pro, both with MS Word 2016, both on same enterprise account. When I use the Acrobat tab to export a PDF from Word, it works on the PC and fails on the Mac. On the Mac, Acrobat DC Pro will start to launch, then it warns me I need to be connected to the internet and signed in (I am both). I have tried with and without Creative Cloud running and signed in.

  11. I got a garbage Word docx back from export (attached). When I paste a copied line into MS Word the font is 1 point. But it prints OK.
Is there a way to detect the problem and repair it?

  12. We have to use the function for exporting PDF Formular Data to CSV-File. The function works well if you need it for only a few files but if you use it to export more than 500MB -750MB of files the export produces only an empty csv. That is quite a big problem for our company because we need this to export up to 3GB of PDF Formulars as part of our workflows and it is not very handy to export just parts and put them together in time consuming steps

Adobe Acrobat Pro XML Export Bug Report
    by Rich Hartness, rhartness@mabnc.org

1 Title: Isolated field format losses with Acrobat PDF to XML exports

    2 Intent

I'm writing to report there seems to be a very small but significant bug in the Acrobat 2017 and Pro DC PDF to XML exporter, to share my compelling evidence, and hopefully to gain your support to authorize a code fix that will correct this issue in a future update.

    3 Problem description and scope

The problem seems to only exist in XML exports. In…

  14. I would like to be able to Export PDFs as an HTML5 flipbook. Services around the web charge a ridiculous amount for this. Currently, this can be done as an SWF from Indesign, but not a lot of mobile devices can handle it. There has to be a better way. Even if you charged an extra $5 a month to host the files and then allowed someone to embed them (Life Flipsnack does) it would be worth it. They charge like $1000 a year.

  15. I need to convert some bank statements into excel. However, the conversion is highly distorted, across various cells, and almost unusable. Sharing the attached sample.

Do you have a solution that you can share.

I have tried, online links and conversion of these files work fine there, But because of security issues, I need a trusted software and hence trying to use Adobe.

  16. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am French fund of literature and work for editors in particular in view of publications of translations from Indian literature into French.

I am thus using most programs of the Adobe Creative Suite, because I also manage a Web site devoted to the promotion of Indian literature to French-speaking people (www.chatranjali.fr).

The purpose of my request is the following:
I gather PDF documents from either Indian sites, or Indian writers or their agents. They are thus written in one of the numerous languages and scripts used in the Indian subcontinent: devanagari mainly, but…

  17. I tried to export a PDF to Excel in order to capture and manipulate the data without having to retype it. When I did so, the resulting Excel document was unreadable and the formatting was off. I have several files like this that I need to extract the data from. I have Acrobat Pro for Mac. I'm using osSierra version 10.12.6. Please see the attached PDF and resulting Excel output file.

    Hi Chantal Smith,

The attached PDF is already an OCRed file whose output is incorrect. Try to copy and paste the text from the PDF file. It contains garbage values.

Please provide non-OCRed file for this issue.

    Regards,
    Akanksha Garg

  19. When exporting a file to excel, the data is not only merging cells, but the data is coming over looking like jibber jabber (sorry, I don't know how else to put it). You can't see most of the data unless you click on a cell.

  20. As well as being able to export a PDF to MS Word, the option to export to MS OneNote would be very beneficial. I know it can be done via the print menu but it's not the same and just exports as images not editable files / text.
