  2. .docx to PDF/A-1a in Word Minor Bug

When creating a PDF from a .docx file from within Microsoft Word, when PDF/A compliance is set to "PDF/A-1a", text boxes will have borders in the PDF even when they do not have borders in the Word document itself. No other PDF/A compliance setting exhibits this bug.

  3. Let sound files on PDFs open in Email attachments as they used to.

I am a musician and have been using Adobe Pro to send PDF flyers with a sound bite attached to the PDF that played when the email attachment was opened. This gave an immediate result. I am amazed to find that due to an upgrade Adobe Pro will no longer do this, instead if you send a flyer to a potential venue they have to open the email attachment, save it to a file, close it, open it again, trust it, close it and open it another time before the sound can be heard. New venues are not going to…

  4. Text menus- not hieroglyphics please.

Text menus should be an option in preferences. Your non-standard hieroglyphics just aren't working for me and I've been using this version for about a year- if I could go back to version nine I would in a heartbeat. You still have the File, Edit, View, Window, Help text menus (don't you dare!). Why not have the other important functions in another text row underneath?

  5. PDF Plug-in slow down MS 360 Excel when creating pdf files

I am using the 64bit version of MS Office 365; and I having problem when converting Excel spreadsheet to PDF files, using the Adobe Create Plug-ins from Adobe DC Pro 32bit. The plug-in slow down the process in Excel at first time. When used a second time, the entire process runs faster than first time. This repeat everyday, when converting an Excel to Adobe PDF.

  6. Corrupted hyperlinks from Word 365 to PDF

I have a very annoying problem converting Word documents to PDF.

I use a lot of hyperlinks to PDF documents right into the Word document, then I export the Word document using Create Adobe PDF command in the ribbon.
I've noticed that when I the link points to a PDF with a filename with two or less characters the resulting PDF have a broken link.
I mean that when I link PDF file like "0.pdf" or "00.pdf" the link is broken, whereas "000.pdf" is correct.

I'm using Windows 10 with the lastest Acrobat DC and Office 365.

  7. Combine Excel-Files in Acrobat - Unable to open Document, Permission Problem

    My software environment:
    Windows 10 Pro 1909, Build 18363.900 (64 bit)
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Continuous Release 2020.009.20067
    Microsoft Excel 2019 MSO (16.0.12827.20200) 32 bit

My Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC:
Since years I combine MS-Excel-files in one PDF via right mouse-click and drop-down menu "Combine files in Acrobat ..." in Windows-Explorer.

Unfortunately, this procedure results nowadays in an error message: "Unable to open document" and a reading permission problem (see attached Screenshot).

There are no reading permission restrictions and I think it is a bug in this Acrobat-Release since it was in the past not an issue.

    I…

  8. Merge email and attachment into one single pdf

Without spending more money on new software I can not see how to merge an email and attachment into a songle pdf. I see this was raised at least two years ago.

  9. Add feature of hide/option and internal link

We want and intensely recommend to you add hide and show button option in
Pdf while creating and display/ readinding and internal link pdf because day by day content, information, notes and books are shifting from paper to mainly in pdf format.
This feature is mainly require when we solve self mcq /objective question etc.
This will work like that hide show option in web page.

  10. combine files thumbnails not in proportion

I've just noticed that in the Combine Files panel, the thumbnails of the files I pull in are squished out of proportion. The thumbnails of the finished file (after I click "Combine") are just fine though - no issues with those. But the squished thumbs are very strange.

  11. Getting jibberish when converting a web page to PDF

When converting a web page in Edge (usually an invoice from an on-line purchase to PDF), portions of the text are converted to total jibberish. Converting the same page using the built-in Microsoft PDF converter works correctly.

  12. Create an easy way to make a Photo Contact Sheet

It would be great to have an easy way to dump a file of multiple photos into Acrobat and create a PDF photo contact sheet. And be able to select how many photos on each page 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 etc per page

  13. Fix DWG to PDF batch conversion

I am an electrical drafter and need to combine sometimes hundreds of AutoCAD (dwg) files into a pdf. The Acrobat XI version did this reliably and quickly. I used it for about 4 years mostly for that purpose. Now that it is no longer supported by Adobe I apparently am forced to "downgrade" to Acrobat 2017 for a perpetual license. (Somehow my "so-called perpetual" version of Acrobat XI suddenly stopped working on my work computers - more than one - suddenly - for some reason) 8( So...What is the definition of "perpetual" anyway?
    I bought the 2017 version and it…

  14. When you convert a Microsoft

There is a glitch with Adobe PDF. When you covert a Microsoft Word document to an Adobe PDF, some pilcrows (¶) are changed while some are not in the same document. Some pilcrows have a curved bottom. Additionally, all superscript characters become subscript. So all in-text citations with a superscript number and all superscript th and nd, etc., such as in 4th, 2nd, etc., become subscript. It also depends on how you open the file. On Adobe Cloud, the pilcrow problem doesn't happen, but the other one does. On Instructure Canvas opening my PDF files, both problems are present.

  15. Retaining Hyperlinks and Fonts when converting MS Word document to PDF

    Software Used:
    OS: macOS Catalina Version 10.15.2
MS Word for Mac: Version 16.32
Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017: Version 2017.011.30166

    Issue:

When converting a word document with hyperlinked text, a problem emerges. When using the "print to PDF" option in MS Word, the resulting PDF does not retain the hyperlinks contained in the original document. When using the "Save As PDF" function, there is a dual issue. If the "Best for printing" option is used, the resulting PDF does not retain the hyperlinks from the original document. If the "Best for electronic distribution and accessibility" option is used, the resulting PDF…

  16. Preserve Source Folder Structure when creating multiple PDF's

When creating multiple PDF's, if I choose to place them in the source folder, everything works fine, and all files are being converted into PDF, remaining the source structure. But I end up with a folder structure with mixed files (Word and PDF) next to each other. I do want a different output folder, but preserving my source folder structure. This way I get a new output structure, with only PDF-files in the structure. This option is currently not possible. When selecting a different output folder, all files are created directly into that new main folder. I would like to…

  18. BUG Acrobat Pro DC Version 2020.006.20042

    Hello,

Since the last update, when I go to "Create a PDF" "Multiple Files" and "Combine Files" in the latest try some photos, I end up with a Portfolio and NOT a single PDF you can scoll. It is a portfolio of individual PDFs and the title is "Portfolio" even though I did not select the Portfolio option. In addition, it is erasing the original files. ALL the original PNG photo files have been erased and no longer on the harddrive. This has now happened twice.
I would like to combine PDFs into a single scrollable document and not have…

  19. page count on combine files view

Display number of files (and number of pages total) about to be combined.
I can find out the page count after I've combined, but that is less useful because the deed is done.
