Combine Files result loses focus to last-selected open document.
My specs are in the attached screenshots.
Note: I had problems with Acrobat yesterday, so this morning I uninstalled/reinstalled the app via the Creative Cloud app.
With one or more PDFs open, choose File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF….
Add any number of files using the Add Files… command or by clicking the Add Files button.
Click the Combine button.
When the resulting PDF appears (Binder[n].pdf), focus returns to the last-selected open PDF.
In general the first thing I want to do when the combined file appears is save and rename it.
It's minor but frustrating…

Acrobat DC has a bug when combining files.
Since switching over to Acrobat DC, when dragging and dropping files into the combine feature screen more often than not it will open the files instead of adding them to the list to be combined. This makes a slow process even more cumbersome.

Sorting when Merging Components of Portfolio to a Single PDF
Right now, if I create a Portfolio using emails from outlook, I can sort the components by the email date so that they are sorted from earliest received to latest received. However when I open the portfolio, sort it, and select File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF > Add Open Files, the components of the Portfolio are sorted alphabetically instead of by the date as I have them displayed in the portfolio view panel. This means that I have to individually sort each component by date using the organize pages option before I can actually complete…

PDFMOutlookCore.dll bug
PDFMOutlookCore.dll bug
Since last out of cycle update on 2020-12-07 (also timestamp of the PDFMOutlookCore.dll the PDFMaker Add-in in Outlook works only shortly after Reboot for a few PDFs and then stops working, it then creates empty portfolios (see attached test.PDF) or pretents to do something but does not write any data/file to a PDF. PDF-Printing via Adobe-PDF still works from Outlook, but our Users are used to get their Work done exporting E-Mails via PDFMaker Add In.

Converting files - Acrobat XI Pro vs Acrobat Pro DC
Acrobat Pro DC does not convert files as well as Acrobat XI Pro. I was told by support that developing code to convert every font is not possible; however it was possible for XI Pro. I don't want bells & whistles. I just want software that works. Attached are files converted via XI Pro and via Pro DC. Converting as a print file works but it is very inconvenient. I have lots of Word and Excel examples which I can send to someone. I do not want to attach confidential files in this type of forum.

When doing a batch conversion of emails in an Outlook folder, all of the emails should be captured in a single PDF file. Unfortunately not all emails are converted? Is there a limtation of the size of PDF file? When will a file/email be skipped?

Save as Adobe PDF without active Hyperlinks in Office applications
We are trying to create a PDF document without active Hyperlinks since the PDF will be sent to external sources and persons.
We/I have tried to use Save as Adobe PDF, print to Adobe PDF and other options through Adobe utility but all document created do have active hyperlinks in them.
We do not wish to have users click on the hyperlink and navigate to that particular site.
Current workaround is to create a PDF, open the PDF in Acrobat Pro and save it again.
We cannot ask our people to do that manually each time for each document since…1 voteHi
You can create PDFs from Office applications without active hyperlinks by unchecking the “Add Links” option in Acrobat Preferences in the Office PDFMaker addin.
Let us know if that resolves your problem. Thanks

Combining converted excel file to existing pdf
I often convert excel files and combine with an existing pdf. I am switching to acrobat pro from omnipage. With omnipage, I would convert my selected worksheets (in a process very similar to acrobat pro), but when i would choose a file name, I would choose the existing file I wanted to combine with and it would give me the option to replace that file or combine to it in the order i wanted (beginning, end, middle). Adobe pro just gives me the option to replace.
It is my understanding the my only options with acrobat pro are to open…

Crashes from Word/Excel 2016; both the plug-in and Save As PDF
I get repeated hard-reboot crashes when creating PDFs from relatively small simple Word documents. I follow the instructions, remove and re-add the plugin, still it can take 20 minutes to get a 9-page, no images or links Word document to PDF correctly. Please fix this.
Windows 10, Acrobat Pro DC version 2020 (latest), Microsoft Word and Excel 2016.1 voteHi
Please check with latest Acrobat 2020 and let us know if you are still facing this issue.
Thanks

Increase Outlook Plug-in PDFMaker Maximum Message Limit
I recieve the error when using the PDFMaker Plug-in to create a PDF in excess of 7,000 Outlook messages:
"You have chosen to convert a very large number of email messages. Please try again with a folder or selection having fewer messages."
I would like the limit to be raised to in excess of 10 or 15 thousand.

Acrobat PDFMaker -- incorrect and inconsistent page size printing from Excel
When printing an Excel workbook, if any of the tabs have "autofit" turned on, or a Shrink to Fit percentage, the output PDF has different size pages, rather than being shrunk to fit.
For example, print a simple workbook tab with 90% scaling on 8.5x11 paper, and the PDF created measures 9.44x12.22 inches. It should be 8.5x11 inches.
This causes strange behavior during continuous scrolling, as the user expects to see the same size page boundary (A4/Letter) and they are all different. Other non-Adobe PDF software does not do this.

Accessibility Bug: Footnotes not tagging properly in Word-converted PDFs
There is a bug in the Word to PDF conversion process that is causing footnotes to not tag properly. The footnote text is recognized under the <Note> tag, but the link to the footnote within the text is missing. This issue comes up when using the "Save as..." PDF option. The footnote tags appear correctly when converting using the Adobe Acrobat "Create PDF" add-on in Word. This issue occurs with both Mac and Windows computers.
