  1. When I try to convert a web page in Firefox to pdf using the icon on top right corner, it often does not work. If I try the convert to pdf using the print command on the right dropdown list, the optionto print, then adobe pdf will convert the same page to a perfect pdf. What is wrong?

  2. We have a functionality till Acrobat DC October 2018 release which shows the page number when combining the PDF files on Page thumbnail. This feature was enhanced in such a way that now the users have to rollover the mouse to the document to see the number of pages. It would be great if we can have a separate column which shows the page numbers in such a way we can have both complete view of the document in Page thumbnail and the page number as well without rolling over the mouse cursor to PDF.

  3. Hello, I recently installed the Acrobat Firefox add on. Here are the issues:

    1. it takes an enormous amount of time for the conversion process to complete

    2. As you will see in the attached screencast, the "open pdf in acrobat" option is turned off, yet acrobat application opens anyway. either way, you will see that i'm logged into the account and logged in to the document icloud.

  4. Provide support for HEIC files. This is apple's new standard and lots of clients send over these image files like jpegs that need to be inserted into my pdfs. PDF is intended to be the "universal" format so this seems like an obvious addition. Thanks!

  5. I've used this tool for years and have turned to 3rd party vendors for better options. Adobe should step in and revamp this tool.

For me the issue with this tool is the processing features. I cannot add multiple folders containing multiple files and output aggregate PDF's that correspond to each folder. The same is true with more complex file/folder structures where I may wish to add and combine specific sub-folders from specific directories into aggregated PDF's.

Moreover, the file naming features could benefit from an upgrade in features. I'd like to have the option of renaming a new aggregate…

  7. There seems to be a bug in "Acrobat PDFMaker 17 for Word" (which does not exist in "Acrobat PDFMaker 17 for PowerPoint). The chosen "Conversion Settings" doesn't work when working in Word as shown in the attached file (and I also show that things work properly when working in PowerPoint).

I found that copying my *.joboptions file to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2017\Acrobat\Settings\Standard.joboptions" was a workaround, but obviously there is a bug that needs to be fixed.

  9. I have a Microsoft Word file that has a number of images. I need to make an accessible PDF. I have entered alternate text for each image in MS Word. When I convert the Word file to PDF, the alternate text I had entered in MS Word is carried over to the PDF, which is what I want. The problem is that it puts all images/figures at the beginning of the tag tree no matter where the image comes in the document. When I look at the Reading Order for each page, it puts all images as the last item…

  10. In the PDF Maker plug-in for MS Office, add additional controls in the PDF Preference settings to make accessible PDFs:

Set the Display Title options to a drop-down menu with the choices of Document Title or File Name.

  11. Case ADB-7492668-J6J4 -Word file is uploaded with embedded fonts as per Preferences (see attached) to the document cloud and then PDF converting Acrobat provides following error (see attached) "Acrobat PDF Conversion could not be completed. This could be due to a network error or if there is no valid Acrobat online service membership." If you go through the same process except NOT embedding fonts the same document will convert to PDF without error. However, the fonts in the PDF file are now different in the Word file as they are no longer embedded. When using a MS OS and upload…

  12. There should be a way that you can drag/drop an email into Adobe so that it converts the email (Outlook) into a PDF, and ALSO converts and combines the attachments onto the PDF. The way I know to do this is extremely clunky and includes having to download each attachment separately to later have to use the combine feature to add each one.

  13. Making a PDF from a Word (2016 or 2019) document on the Mac, I can't select job options AND get bookmarks and links. I use the ribbon tool, which offers two options: High Quality and Online (which, ominously, tells me it uses Microsoft servers... why??). High Quality (using, I guess, Distiller) won't make bookmarks or preserve links. Online makes bookmarks and preserves links, but resamples. I end up making both and copy/pasting graphics from the HQ PDF into the Online PDF. Ridiculous workaround.

  17. Acrobat 11 had a feature that showed the number of pages in each document being combined. Acrobat DC has it but you must hover over the document to see it.

I often combine 100 pdfs together to make one document. I need each file to have even pages so that they print correctly and each section starts on a left hand page. In Acrobat 11 I could read at a glance which sections needed an extra page. It now takes 15 to 20 minutes to hover over each pdf (there are 100 of them) to see if they have even…

  18. We are an enterprise customer with over 1,000 Adobe users.
I would like our users to be able to create animated presentations using InDesign rather than PowerPoint and export the content as an interactive PDF. Currently this can't be done, you can output the animation using Publish Online, which outputs a URL, which isn't secure or in a format we would want, not everyone wants to view presentations on the web, most of our presentations our confidential!

I can't express enough how useful it would be to be able to export the animation to interactive PDF. We could move the…

    Hi

Thanks for your feature request. This would be more applicable for InDesign team so would request you to log it under InDesign forum.
However, we have also added it in our backlog which will be prioritized based on other items.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  19. It should be possible, to have an ADD TO, JOIN TO or MERGE command to integrate a PDF file into another one, directly from the File Menu applications.
    As an example
    1. Attached on an email I receive a PDF file containing the instructions to pay my Car Insurance.
    2. I save this PDF as “Car Insurance 2019.pdf”
    3. A few day later I pay this insurance thru Online Banking
    4. I save the proof of the payment as “Payment House Insurance 2019.pdf”
    The new command
    a. Besides the SAVE or SAVE AS - creating another PDF file, it should…

  20. New problem today, 3/7/19 I can no longer save a Word doc as a PDF optimized for electronic distribution. The Word doc itself doesn't seem to matter, happens with different fonts etc.
In Word, attempt to File -> Save As -> PDF with Best for Electronic Distribution option selected fails with the message Can't Export File. There are three workarounds: 1)Save As PDF with Best for Printing option, 2)Print -> Print to PDF, or 3)click the Acrobat tab in Word and Create PDF icon upper left.
    my setup:
    Mac OS 10.14.3
    Word 16.16.7
    Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20098
