  1. The function to automatically and customizeable renaming of formular fields is needed!!!
F.E.: If you want to deploy 500 checkboxes - you have to copy them and change name by clicking every box or deploy them one after another. This is absolute horrible.

It would be very helpful to have a function which can do this:
    - Mark the fields you want
    - Change name with a given name and f.e. growing numbers for the marked fields.

Please integrate soon. It wastes so much time.

  2. Currently this is possible through workarounds, but it would be nice if Acrobat natively supported embedding the fonts used in forms, so when users type in the form field, their typed text appears in the designated font face.

(This essentially means bringing Acrobat up to par with online web-based HTML forms with embedded fonts using CSS.)

  3. I am creating a fillable PDF and the users need to be able to add an image. I tried using "Add an Image Field" with Prepare Form, but the users are unable to add the image when they open the PDF in Mac Preview. Most of our clients use Mac Preview to open and fill PDFs we need to make this compatible!

  4. In the Text Field Properties, under the Number Format, it would be great to select the option for a Civic number format. Currently a comma will appear if you have more than four numbers (1,430) and in an address you wouldn't have a comma between the numbers (1430).

  5. I have created a pdf fillable form and the date picker and the signature box only work when I open with Acrobat. Do these not work in Chrome or Edge? I don't want people to have to use special software to fill in the form.

  6. Can we open a PDF file like a code file, the way we used to open our code file in gvim ie same file can be open in two/three tabs. (like seeing function decl. & it's call?) This would be very useful to read in a large PDF file, such as reading a sub chapter on page number 50 and referencing page number 225 for further explanation.

    1. Renaming Date Type field changes it to Text Type

Issue: Renaming any Date type field when using "prepare form" in Adobe Pro, causes the field to be changed to a Text Type field. This causes issues with errors when uploading/downloading the form.

    1. Replication Steps:
Open the Sample Document attached in Adobe Pro
Click Tools > Forms & Signatures > Prepare Form
This should load the open form into the prepare form tools
Right click on the "Date" Field
      Click 'Rename Field'
Change the name to: Date (no "afdate" suffix)
      Hit Enter
See in the right menu, the field…

  7. A complex form that ran fine under older versions of reader, is now intermittently running some of the onboard javascripts incredibly slowly and appearing to the user as freezing (Not Responding).
This does not always occur, and occurs during different operations (using different document level scripts).
I am using Windows 10 Pro 19041.804 (most recent) and have experienced it on Reader 2021.001.20138 32bit and 64bit versions.

  8. Hello, I was wondering if you all could make a system for Excel or CSV data to be imported into interactive elements like combo boxes and list boxes. Its a real pain to manually input an array of items one at a time, and also not have the ability to edit them in their place. The current process requires deleting an element in the list, and retyping it when updating the list. Imagine if having to make a combo box that included all 50 states or capitals of every country.
I also ask for this a feature in Indesign, but…

  9. I need to be able to set the default properties on form fields so that all form fields created in the future --- whether by me manually or automatically by way of Acrobat's Prepare Form > Scan feature --- reflect the "default" property settings, both in the current doc and in all future docs. Default means default.

Let's review the current flow here:

    1) I open a PDF doc that I want to convert to a fillable-form.
    2) I choose Tools --> Prepare Form
    3) I accept the option to scan for all form-field auto detection.
    4) All form fields…

  10. Currently image fields that users can upload images to are always rectangular. For aesthetic reasons this is not always desirable. For example, in some designs boxes with rounded corners or circles would work better. An option to add a corner radius to the field would improve the visual look.

  11. Please provide an option to disable the blue form field highlighting for a particular pdf form, rather than expecting all users to change this in their preferences. It is frustrating to design a form (in either InDesign or Acrobat Pro DC), then preview the form and discover blue highlighting everywhere. Changing the preferences only changes it for one user not all users who open the file. For a plain B&W form, the blue highlighting may look fine but for a more custom form, it often ruins the design - this is very limiting, please give the form designer more flexibility…

  12. Prepare Forms has always had a 'Button' tool, which could have simple actions applied to it [eg. reset form, submit form]. I eventually found it in the 'Rich Media' tools, but there is no longer an option to assign actions. This is a fundamental function of preparing forms in Acrobat. Please put it back in the Prepare Forms tools and even if it's going to stay in the Rich Media tools – what's the point of having buttons that don't DO anything?

  13. I created a form and needed to disable the comma typing, because when I sent the pdf to another computer that didn't have Adobe, the sum field gave an error due to the comma. For some reason, he interpreted the comma as if it were a zero, so the sum went super wrong.

  14. For several months now the document method .bringToFront() is not working in MacOS. I have tested the issue with the same forms in the Windows environment and find that .bringToFront() works as intended in Windows.

  15. For people using Adobe Acrobat PDF forms for schedules, breakdowns or quick lists, having a form's fields link when pages are duplicated poses a huge issue for usability. Having an option within the program to unlink form fields across pages would be a great help for these uses.

    For example:
I have a single page form with 20+ fields to help organize shot lists for film scenes. It contains check boxes, drop down menus and input image fields related to a specific shot in a specific scene. I want to be able to duplicate this page within the document and…

  17. I'd like to be able to easily print one pdf multiple times on a single page without having to duplicate and merge the pdfs before printing. For example on the Preview program on a mac, its super easy to do this with a click of a button. No extra steps of duplicating and merging. Thanks for considering, Please please update!!

  19. It is completely mind numbing that this product doesnt work with Live Cycle Designer files. These are the PDF files that are used by the IRS. So I can not fill in a form from the IRS and save it. BUT Apple Preview works perfectly fine on these files. So my FREE PDF viewer works better than this Adobe PDF P.O.S. What a waste of a product.
