  1. I can't find a way to make a permanent change to appearance of form fields. It will keep having the blue color on top at the end user. In the properties panel it is shown as no fill and stroke. I can see a lot of people asking for this feature - but no solution yet. See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2467569

  3. It would be helpful to be able to resize the Button Properties window in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Currently the window barely has enough room to display the contents. Resizing would help allow for much quicker form preparation workflows, for example, making the window larger could help minimize the need to constantly use the scrollbars in the Actions tab.

  4. When running the form field autodetection there are e.g. multiline text form fields detected. The names of those fields and the alternate field names have a length of up-to 2249 characters (consisting of nearly the whole page text).
I know that theoretically text strings can be 32K or greater however a meaningful name should be much shorter. So would it be possible to limit the size to a meaningful length of lets say 255? In case no string can be detected the name is "undefined_28" which is good and short...
    Thanks

  5. Mohave 10.14.3 and Acrobat DC fillable document saving problem-
If I get a fillable form from IRS or other government site that needs to be filled in, I can save it to my computer one time. But if I reopen the document to add other information to a fillable area, I cannot save the document a second time. I get an error message saying the file contains "a number that is out of range". This happens for documents from many different websites, so I think the error comes when the document is saved using Mohave. Once saved the "producer" under…

Thank you for reporting the issue.

Please check that the form is not being opened in Apple Preview, it happens to get corrupted. Try downloading again from IRS website and instead use Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Reader.

    1. Please share the test file with us using https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7161 and
2 the version of Acrobat installed on your machine for us to investigate furthur.

  6. Form Fills are no longer being detected since updated to the new Mac OSX Mojave.

Previous PDF's that I used successfully with the form fill option are no longer having their fields detected. Not a single aspect of the form has the field detected. When preparing a form, it quickly goes through all pages and detects zero form fills.

Need this function for my work, and it's currently crippling me.

  7. The ability to group multiple checkboxes under one name, each with different export values, and retain the ability to select more than one option.

We import/export information from PDF's and our CRM, and there's no way to import checkbox fields because we can't group them.

Please go back to Prepare Forms> edit mode and enable “Allow Rich Text Formating” for the text field

Once done, you should be able to get the formatting options under right click context menu.

    I hope this helps.

  9. I would like to have a Text Field Property that would allow presetting of line spacing on multi line text fields. Currently, it appears that it can only be adjusted after there is already text in the field that would be submitted by the form filler.

  10. This is a bug report for Acrobat Pro 2017.

When creating a new form "button" with an icon appearance, it is not possible to select the first page of a multi-page PDF as the icon image.

    • Create a new button field
    • In the Properties dialog box for the button choose the Options tab
    • Choose "Icon only" from the layout dropdown list
    • Click the Choose Icon button and select a multi-page PDF
    • Try to select the first page of the PDF as the icon image.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reporting this issue.

But we are not able to reproduce this issue at our end.
Thus please let us know your Acrobat version and OS details.

Moreover, are you facing this issue for every file? If not, share the sample file.

    Thanks,
    Gaurav

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with .You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.
If possible, please share the test file with us using

  12. A Java Script Checkbox that makes a field visible or hidden based on the condition is not functioning properly. When first opening the form, the box does nothing. If I click on "Prepare Form" tool and immediately close, the button works as it should. If Adobe is closed and the form is reopened, the checkbox stops working again.

  15. Form created in Designer 11, Using Acrobat XI Pro to extend file for users to fill-in forms using Reader DC or Std DC to save to server. After recent Reader update fields on forms that have a calculation have issues. When the file is closed then re-opened using ReaderDC the calculation fields are blank or zero. Win7 and Win10 PCs.

  16. When I have entered a custom calculation script for a form field and accidentally click one of the other options in that tab or accidentally click to the Validate tab, my whole script just disappears, which is infuriating. Why can you not just leave the script there as is, but obviously don't apply it if another option is clicked. Perhaps a user would like to test different Calculation/Validation options without having their work erased. I am so sick of losing hours of work simply because I mis-clicked.

Could you please elaborate what are you copying from source PDF to the result PDF.
Are these text? Or are these Form Fields?

    Please share more details.

  19. If you create custom radio button element in Indesign it will be rendered wrongly on acrobat pro (and reader) if

    Preferences >
    Forms >
"Show border hover color for fields"

    is turned on.

Once you turn that setting off, acrobat renderes the form element as expected.

Attached indd, pdf and two screenshots to demonstrate the behaviour
