  1. The ability to group multiple checkboxes under one name, each with different export values, and retain the ability to select more than one option.

We import/export information from PDF's and our CRM, and there's no way to import checkbox fields because we can't group them.

  2. When writing in the fill in portion of the form, I used to be able to right click and underline, bold, italicize, highlight, superscript or subscript my text. I am no longer able to do this and I am super frustrated.

Please go back to Prepare Forms> edit mode and enable “Allow Rich Text Formating” for the text field

Once done, you should be able to get the formatting options under right click context menu.

    I hope this helps.

Basically, a drop-down field can’t have a completely blank value (unless you set the values using a custom script).

You can add a value that’s a single space, though, or an underscore, or something like “SELECT ITEM” and set it as the default value.

  4. Edit Menu > Form Options: does not always show when opening a Form PDF. In Acrobat Standard DC it is hit or miss as to if the Edit Menu show the Form Options selection.

What makes the 'dynamic menu' feature sense a pdf form?

Edit > “Form Options” > is visible (default) in following two cases -

    1. A reader extended PDF is opened in Acrobat.
    2. A distributed PDF.

The menu option is also, available in same session for a non-Reader Extended PDF (or non-distributed) if they are opened with a Reader Extended PDF (and/or Distributed PDF).
That ways the “Edit > Form Option” stays visible until user exit Acrobat application.

Please note, Edit > “Form Options” > does not appear when we are creating form from scratch because as an author he/she has the advantage of using Prepare Form Tools.

  5. This is a bug report for Acrobat Pro 2017.

When creating a new form "button" with an icon appearance, it is not possible to select the first page of a multi-page PDF as the icon image.

    • Create a new button field
    • In the Properties dialog box for the button choose the Options tab
    • Choose "Icon only" from the layout dropdown list
    • Click the Choose Icon button and select a multi-page PDF
    • Try to select the first page of the PDF as the icon image.
    • Only the 2nd or later page can actually be selected (even though the first page will…

    Hello,

    Thanks for reporting this issue.

But we are not able to reproduce this issue at our end.
Thus please let us know your Acrobat version and OS details.

Moreover, are you facing this issue for every file? If not, share the sample file.

    Thanks,
    Gaurav

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with .You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

  8. A Java Script Checkbox that makes a field visible or hidden based on the condition is not functioning properly. When first opening the form, the box does nothing. If I click on "Prepare Form" tool and immediately close, the button works as it should. If Adobe is closed and the form is reopened, the checkbox stops working again.

  10. Form created in Designer 11, Using Acrobat XI Pro to extend file for users to fill-in forms using Reader DC or Std DC to save to server. After recent Reader update fields on forms that have a calculation have issues. When the file is closed then re-opened using ReaderDC the calculation fields are blank or zero. Win7 and Win10 PCs.

  11. When I have entered a custom calculation script for a form field and accidentally click one of the other options in that tab or accidentally click to the Validate tab, my whole script just disappears, which is infuriating. Why can you not just leave the script there as is, but obviously don't apply it if another option is clicked. Perhaps a user would like to test different Calculation/Validation options without having their work erased. I am so sick of losing hours of work simply because I mis-clicked.

  13. PDF's when opened will sometimes crash the whole Adobe Acrobat Pro program. They open afterward, but the event viewer shows a fatal error of some kind. I copied four of these into the attached text document.

Thank you for reporting the issue. We regret you facing inconvenience.

We would need more details on steps to reproduce the issue. And do you experience it on Win or MAC or both.

Share the version of acrobat you are using. You can do so using the link -https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

And also share the test PDF file using forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7161 for us to investigate further.

  14. If you create custom radio button element in Indesign it will be rendered wrongly on acrobat pro (and reader) if

    Preferences >
    Forms >
"Show border hover color for fields"

    is turned on.

Once you turn that setting off, acrobat renderes the form element as expected.

Attached indd, pdf and two screenshots to demonstrate the behaviour

  15. I don't want the required fields outlined with a red border when my client opens the form, only when they have completed it if there are any required fields missing. This would seem logical & I cant understand why this isn't already in place?

You will need to implement keystroke script for this. You can use the Properties dialog > format > Custom options to use.

  16. Hello everyone. I have experienced the following situation.

After a synchronous SOAP request, upon receiving a binary encoded, content type "application/xop-xml" response, Adobe Standard generated RaiseError pointing to the Net.SOAP.request() method. If, alternatively, the request was made asynchronously the callback function did not appear to have been invoked. In the latter case though upon exiting Adobe Acrobat, "Adobe Acrobat DC has stopped working" and “An unhandled exception occurred in Acrobat.exe [ some number ]” messages were generated.
There were no such problems if received responses were of content type "application/json" or "text/xml".

I am not certain if that a bug…

  19. The Line Spacing in Acrobat DC is so much more difficult to work with. Its much harder to complete forms with the set 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 2.0 etc. options. Adobe 9.0 Pro was so much easier to work with. Not all lines are equal. The option to adjust line spacing with by click on the line spacing icon was SO MUCH EASIER. Please consider making this an option again.
