  1. Ability to justify text boxes and form fields to each other -aligned top/right/left/bottom

Currently there is no easy way to create a form from scratch with numerous lines and fields. It is easier to create it in Word and then export it, but then there are issues with editing and aligning field boxes to the text. Please make a feature to snap the text boxes to field boxes so they line up perfectly and quickly.

  2. Make Form Conversions easier .

Make Form Conversions more intuitive and accurate. The cursor still jumps around and seldom allows me to position it where I want to type.

Thank you for your suggestion. We shall need more information on how does the “cursor jump around” and what workflow of “Form Conversions” are you using.

Is it converting MSWord to Acroform or via scanning.?
    Please share more details

why do we pay for creative cloud and now can't edit a form to enter a simple date. when trying to edit a w9 form for instance, i am asked to use life cycle to do so and that requires an additional monthly subscriptions???????????????????? this is bad.

You don’t need to edit the form to enter the date. Simply click on the field and start typing.

  4. PDF forms saved with Reader Extended → Enable More Tools (form fill-in & save) should editable!

Whenever I use "File → Save as Other → Reader Extended PDF → Enable More Tools (Includes form fill-in & save)" to save my form. The form in the resulting file cannot be edited. Why? This effectively causes me to have to maintain three copies of my PDF forms: One with no form controls, one converted to a form, and one with More Tools enabled.

  5. exportAsFDF: values are exported from fields not in the array

Steps to reproduce the issue: Create an exportAsFDF script in a privileged context in a folder level script. Specify an array of some but not every child field of a non-terminal field name using the aFields parameter with exportAsFDF. Next, employ ALL child fields of that multi-field set a pdf, not just the fields in the array, and enter values in every field in the family. Call the script from the pdf to export and save the fdf file. Reset the fields in the pdf to a blank state. Import the fdf file to that pdf.

  6. Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet

    Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet

In previous versions I can see "Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet" option, but in DC Pro in Prepare Form I don't have or can't see that option.

  7. Partial drop down search giving unexpected results in DC

I have been discussing an issue on this thread in the support forum: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2445804

I will outline the issue below again, however.

I have a drop down that is being populated dynamically: https://i.imgur.com/QKohGq5.png

Users have the ability to do a partial search of the drop down, to filter down to what they're looking to find: https://i.imgur.com/S0P3T17.png

However, when selecting one of the options from within the remaining options available, the results are not always as intended. In this case, I will search "Adult B" to choose Adult Brass Dragon. When selecting Adult Brass Dragon, the following script is enacted via…

  8. Check box changes to Signature field type arbitrarily

After creating a checkbox, changing its name, modifying its size and assigning "Signer 1" as the participant role, it changes to Signature Field Type.

    Demonstrative Video Attached.

    3. Done and great for javascritping with ease.

  10. Multi Select / Assign Participant Role

Please allow a user to assign a "Participant Role" to multiple fields at once inside of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Convert to Adobe Sign form). Similar to how you can select multiple fields and make them all required with one click. This isn't always a huge issue, but when assigning multiple fields in a large table format this can quickly become very tedious and massively time consuming.

  11. Rotate Form Field Box

Under the prepare form area, you can add form fields. However, you can't rotate the field box. It always stays straight. I would like to be able to rotate it based on the direction of the image/text in the project.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  12. More direct 'Submit' button

I have a pharma client that I've been working on a Sales Aid for. It was created in InDesign Interactive. At the end of this 8 page (or so) document, there's a simple form for people to request a patient starter kit. No signature is required. We would like to have people submit the form directly to my client, but in Acrobat Pro, the form goes to the end user's email address and they need to forward the form on to my client. This is a 2-step process and not ideal at all for user experience. Client wants the form…

  13. Group/Lock text and corresponding form field together so they can be moved together

I create many forms and every time I create a text field and corresponding form field (whether text box, check box or radio button) I have to move them around separately. the text fields end up grouping together with other unrelated text fields and adjusts line spacing randomly which makes it double-triple work to move around and adjust when laying out the form. Text fields should be left individual with option to merge with other text fields if desired. It takes me way longer to create a form than necessary because i have to constantly readjust the line spacing and…

  15. Post From to Social Media Button

Add a functionality option to form buttons that would allow for posting to social media (Facebook, Twitter etc.). This would allow the user to post an image of the form to social media (without the button showing) This would allow designers to create "form templates" that would allow the users even in Reader to post to social media.

  16. pdf forms exported as flat (non-editable) pdf files

I have designed forms that my staff complete & then we provide to external sources. I need these to export as a flat file & don't see how that could be accomplished other than export to MS Word & then to a pdf... kinda labor intensive!

  17. Adjust leading on the appearance area for the multi-scroll fillable type.

I would like to be able to adjust the leading for multi-scroll fillable type. I often have to adjust my art in InDesign so that the type matches the lines on forms.

  18. Issue with Order Tabs Manual versus Unspecified

May be a bug. This is for Adobe Acrobat Standard DC Version 2015.006.30355. Happens when dealing with RADIO buttons and using Manual Tabs setting. I can move the Radio group field over and over in the right panel, but it will go right back to original position after a Save and open in edit again. After moving it in right panel, it won't change the tab # when viewing tab numbers either. Discovered I have to select "Order Tabs Unspecified", make the move, and then save. It defaults back to Manual after every save (even when still in edit mode),…

  19. Undocumented feature

Despite the submitForm page in the JavaScript API not mentioning the possibility of using a UNC, based on the behaviour of Acrobat Distribution Wizard I decided to test using a UNC instead of a URL by including the following line in my script associated to the MouseUp event of my custom submit button:

    this.submitForm({cURL:"//SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});

To my satisfaction, everything worked as I suspected.

    The following line also worked:

    this.submitForm({cURL:"smb://SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});

So this seems like an undocumented feature btw pretty useful for small businesses which in general outsource their web services but mantain an onsite file server.

  20. Emailing completed webforms - can't do it - why bother?

I created a nice form, loaded it to the web, tested it and when I clicked the "Submit" button - nada! Researched, tried other methods and when I finally called support, I was told that Acrobat DC can't/won't email completed pdf forms from the web! But maybe it would work if I could find someone who could code the javascript for me. So I found the javascript (I can do some coding) and this.maildoc() doesn't work.

Why bother with this? It was a huge waste of time. There are on-line pdf form companies that charge less and claim to offer…
