  1. Sliding Scale

It would be great if users could insert a sliding scale field for range questions (like a 1-10 question) in the same way that we can insert a checkbox or text field when creating a form. I have to create employee appraisal templates and I need to include a slider scale. I have attached an example of a sliding scale.

  2. keep form editing and text editing separate please

After last update, there is a change in how creating form is working. Form editing (creatin) now contain text edit, which is for me higly unwanted feature, since there is no turn on/off. I am editing 30+ fields in once and selecting all of them is impossible. My form has lot of text boxes and while creating pdf, i dont need them to edit anymore. I just want to edit form fields. Once you mouse down or mouse up on any text, it will ruin the multiple select of fields and start editing text. We are using old version becasue…

  3. Full access to the Properties box for multiple cells at once

I have imported a pdf into Acrobat to create a fillable form. It "prepares" the form for you once you choose "prepare" form. When you have so many cells that need the same formatting, there isn't an option to copy and paste the same formatting. Being able to choose your cells then open the FULL properties box will give me that option to make ONE change with MULTIPLE cells. Right now you have to go into each cell which is extremely time consuming. This would be amazing if you could change this!! Thank you.

  4. Prepare Form feature to be able to identify a date and apply date box formatting

The ability to prepare a form from a scanned document (or PDF that had no form elements on it) is a great feature, and if the instructions from https://acrobatusers.com/assets/collections/tutorials/legacy/id2263/acro9designforms.pdf are followed, makes it easy to turn a flat document into a fillable form.

However, I believe a feature of this has been overlooked since the introduction of the date style form, and that is the ability for the prepare form feature to recognise a date and apply the date style form.

My request is to update the prepare form feature so that something that resembles a date field…

  5. Please add additional text box properties for pdf forms

Please add following text field properties for text fields in pdf forms:

1.) Justified text alignment under Options Tab; and
2.) Hyperlink format under Format Tab.

  6. Center text in fillable form field both vertically and horizontally

If I create a fillable field in a form with mulit-lines, I can center the text horizontally in the field but not vertically. It would be great to add this as a feature.

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with. You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

Also, can you please try it another PDF file and confirm that this is not file specific.

  8. Resize Button Properties window

It would be helpful to be able to resize the Button Properties window in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Currently the window barely has enough room to display the contents. Resizing would help allow for much quicker form preparation workflows, for example, making the window larger could help minimize the need to constantly use the scrollbars in the Actions tab.

You don’t need to edit the form to enter the date. Simply click on the field and start typing.

  10. Multi Select / Assign Participant Role

Please allow a user to assign a "Participant Role" to multiple fields at once inside of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Convert to Adobe Sign form). Similar to how you can select multiple fields and make them all required with one click. This isn't always a huge issue, but when assigning multiple fields in a large table format this can quickly become very tedious and massively time consuming.

  11. pdf forms exported as flat (non-editable) pdf files

I have designed forms that my staff complete & then we provide to external sources. I need these to export as a flat file & don't see how that could be accomplished other than export to MS Word & then to a pdf... kinda labor intensive!

  12. [BUG] Filled form-field contents only visible after clicking into the form-field when receiving a filled out form from Mac Users

When a docx is saved as a PDF (by Microsoft Word 2019 MSO (16.0.12624.20348) 64bit) and form-fields are added in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2020.006.20042, and the resulting PDF with formfields is then filled out and saved using Preview.app 2020.006.20042 on a Mac, the resulting PDF hides the filled out content of form-fields. Clicking into the filled form field reveals the contents. The PDF renders fine in other PDF viewer implementations.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create an empty word document and save it as a PDF.
    2. Open the PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and add a form field …

  13. Allow fields to me removed from tab order.

This is useful when redundant fields such as pre-populated info from a previously entered field are used. I.e: " Enter Company Name" on a contract is entered and pre populated many times throughout all pages. When tabbing through, these redundant tabs are unnecessary.

  14. BUG: Form Fields Disappear, Can't Modify Name or Tooltip

Fields become "ghost fields"; they still show up in the sidebar on the right and you can still open their properties. However, you cannot select the form field and type text in it. You also can't change the properties, like name and tooltip fields; when you try to, and click away from the field you just changed, they revert back with no notification. This happens every time I open this file in a different application, such as an Accessibility plug-in called CommonLook, and has happened with other files too. Fixing tags in the plug-in causes forms to break in Acrobat,…

    Janet,

Select “Multi-line” and “Scroll Long Text” in “Options” tab of the Properties dialog box for your text field. Also, ensure to widen the width (manually) to allow user to view the content as they type

And, I have forwarded your request of “Wrap the Text” to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization.
We will contact you if we need some more information on this.
    Thank you for your patience

  16. Trying to Change Default Font from Minion Pro to Times New Roman or Arial

I have been waiting forever to have the Adobe Pro XI development team change the default font from Minion Pro (no one uses Minion Pro) to Times New Roman or Arial (the most common). The specific problem for me is that my company name starts with a J. The J in Minion Pro looks like an I. That is causing all sorts of problems. The letter J in Times New Roman and Arial looks like a J. Why do we hav to beg to get this changed? It made no sense to have it set to Minion Pro default anyway.

  17. Flattening Tool

We need a flattening tool so that we can put stamps/initials/signatures on a pdf that cannot be moved/altered so they can go to our clients. There was a very simple add on to adobe X, but nothing even close in DC. Please update this!

  18. In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - add a "subtraction" option in the drop-down box in the Text Fields Properties Box. This would be VERY helpful!

Not having a subtraction option in the Text Field Properties reduces the value of the calculate function. The current "workaround" of inputting a negative number to allow for addition is a poor alternative.

    Hi Gary

You can either use a custom JavaScirpt calculation or the simplified field notation calculation, if your field names follow the required convention, with the “-” operator you will be able to perform subtraction.

However, we value your suggestion/ideas and we will have the engineering notified. Should we need more information inregard to this, we shall connect with you
    Thank you for your patience.
