  1. Bug: Replace Pages, then Save...text disappears, leaving only fields

    The steps: Replace Pages, Save.

Acrobat loses all the text, leaving only fillable fields.

It doesn't happen for all PDFs.

This is the third version of Acrobat that has this problem. Isn't it time to fix this bug?

I have looked several times on the Internet for references to this bug, and have found nothing.

  2. [BUG] Filled form-field contents only visible after clicking into the form-field when receiving a filled out form from Mac Users

When a docx is saved as a PDF (by Microsoft Word 2019 MSO (16.0.12624.20348) 64bit) and form-fields are added in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2020.006.20042, and the resulting PDF with formfields is then filled out and saved using Preview.app 2020.006.20042 on a Mac, the resulting PDF hides the filled out content of form-fields. Clicking into the filled form field reveals the contents. The PDF renders fine in other PDF viewer implementations.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create an empty word document and save it as a PDF.
    2. Open the PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and add a form field …

  3. Be able to link text fields so that text entered will wrap from one to the next

When creating a form, allow text fields to be linked so when someone is filling out the form the text wraps into the next field instead of making the font size smaller.

  4. BUG: Form Fields Disappear, Can't Modify Name or Tooltip

Fields become "ghost fields"; they still show up in the sidebar on the right and you can still open their properties. However, you cannot select the form field and type text in it. You also can't change the properties, like name and tooltip fields; when you try to, and click away from the field you just changed, they revert back with no notification. This happens every time I open this file in a different application, such as an Accessibility plug-in called CommonLook, and has happened with other files too. Fixing tags in the plug-in causes forms to break in Acrobat,…

  5. [Bug Report] Deleting a page while the mini page preview is visible produces an error

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.021.20061
When I open a PDF and double-click with my middle mouse button (the scroll wheel), a mini page thumbnail window is opened, similar too the Pan & Zoom window, but slightly different. For a picture of what I mean with the mini page thumbnail see this post: https://superuser.com/questions/428987/how-to-disable-middle-button-showing-a-page-thumbnail-in-adobe-reader

Note that this is not regarding the Page Thumbnail sidebar nor the "Pan & Zoom" window. There is no menu option to make this mini page thumbnail appear, the only way is to double-click the middle mouse button.

While that mini page thumbnail window…

  6. Full Screen PDF reader/more comprehensive PDF reading capabilities

I know many people who opt out of using Adobe Acrobat for other PDF reading applications (such as PDF Expert). They do this because they are either students or scholars who read PDF's daily and find the reading experience better away from Adobe. I am a faithful Adobe products user and do not want to spend on a different PDF reader, otherwise I would have months ago. Adobe ought to make a designated section for reading PDF's, and enable a full screen, double-page option where users can have a pleasing and comprehensive experience while engaging with their PDF's.

  7. PDF pages will be hidden/show interactively

We are evaluating the PDF feature for our customer needs, the PDF document should be displayed only a few pages and rest will be hidden, there will be two buttons at the end of the document in displayed pages, 1) Accept 2) Reverse, if user click on Accept button, hidden pages will be displayed, when he choose Reverse, then an email notification will be sent to the document author. I found that Adobe acrobat supports Javascripts but we have difficulty to find the perfect solution for the above problem.

I want to achieve this by following steps.

    1) While writing…

  9. Allow to rename multiple fields of the same type after auto generating fields.

When I allow Acrobat to auto generate fields Acrobat named each field by the closest text, which is not always, most of the time, the best way to approach things.

I suggest to allow renaming a group of selected items, if they are the same type. Now, when I select multiple fields, even if they are the same type, the field name and tool tip property fields are disabled.

  10. The Entire Adobe Acrobat Product need a full rework. To keep up with the competition you better rework the who GUI.

Overall Acrobat is horrible non intutitive a simple google search and you will see I am not the only one that thinks this. I would suggest you work with NON-PROGRAMING design and flow oriented people to fix the issue with Adobe Acrobat otherwise it will be a thing of the past since many companies like ZOHO, Microsoft and Google are doing the work better thought the demand in the business world is PDF because you have marketed it so...I do not believe Adobe will be able to hold up this software as people are innovating their software at light speeds…

  11. Bug: Cannot save data to form fields completed in Acrobat DC, even with "Enable more tools" option turned on.

After completing an editable form with no restrictions and fillable fields in Acrobat DC, the data typed into the fields does not save. The form is blank when the document is saved and then reopened. Even when "Save as Other" --> "Reader Extended PDF" --> "Enable More Tools" is turned on, the data in the fields cannot be saved. This is a frustrating and time-consuming issue since users must complete the form, and if there are any errors, must then complete the entire form over again from scratch. I have now wasted more than two hours total completing a form…

  12. Make the form data export more obvious

Two senior web developers spent an hour trying to figure out how to export a PDF's form data. Do better.

  13. Cannot edit file as a form due to security settings

Have spent about 8 hours remediated a form to make it accessible and now my final version (I have saved 14 versions during editing) will suddenly not allow me to edit the form fields or even enter the "Prepare form" tool. When I open this doc, I immediately get a message that "cannot reflow this page because it contains interactive annotations. I hit OK and then I try to enter form editing and get the "Cannot edit file as a form due to security settings". I didn't set any security limitations and when I try to open/edit security, it grayed…

  14. Remove red borders and blue shade after a manditory field is filled in

Remove red borders and blue shade after a manditory field is filled in.

Right now when you have a required field and you select the fact that they are highlighted. You can't unhighlight them witouth them unhighlighted before you even fill in the document.

  16. Change blue color for fillable form

I want to change the default highlight color for fillable form boxes. The automatically generated baby blue clashes with all the other colors in my layout. I know I can change it in my personal preferences, but I need to change it for the document so the recipient has the desired viewing experience.
Users have been asking about this issue for at least seven years now – what's so hard about changing the highlight color for the document (again, NOT my personal settings)? I can change the text and box color once the field is selected, but the default box…

  17. Ability to turn off automatic field population

When creating a Binder that includes the same underlying PDF/pages multiple times, it would be great to be able to turn off the feature that puts the same text into the same fields in each PDF. For example, if someone using my Binder has 3 children named John, Jane and Robert, I'd like the ability to say whether when they fill in John on the first page/pdf, it appears in the 2nd and 3rd pages/pdfs or not, without having to create different underlying PDFs with different field names. Thanks for considering this update!

  18. Add Smart Guides, Grids, and snap to Grids, in Form Creator.

I don't like how free-floating the elements on Forms is. It take me quite a bit of time getting things lined up. I wish you could implement some of your code from Photoshop and Illustrator such as; Smart Guides, so I can see how things line up and offset elements. Grids that I can edit the dimensions of ie: 1mm² or 1cm², and snap-to grids so I can everything lined up. Thank you.

    Janet,

Select “Multi-line” and “Scroll Long Text” in “Options” tab of the Properties dialog box for your text field. Also, ensure to widen the width (manually) to allow user to view the content as they type

And, I have forwarded your request of “Wrap the Text” to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization.
We will contact you if we need some more information on this.
    Thank you for your patience

  20. Allow "use current properties as default" to include or delete decimal places.

When selecting a form field and want to use it for the default, it doesn't allow for the existing decimal place. So, I have to go back and change every number field to eliminate the two decimal default. Also, why can't we just have the default be without any decimals?
