  2. crashes when clicking on Prepare Form

I have Windows 10 and Adobe Standard v. 2018.011.20038 and when I create a form and click on "Prepare Form" there is a pop up box that says "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then the program shuts down. I have updated the program, clicked on "Repair Installation" and nothing has corrected this issue. Please help!

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with .

Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

Also, can you “Check for Updates” and re-test the issue with latest version.

  4. Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet

    Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet

In previous versions I can see "Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet" option, but in DC Pro in Prepare Form I don't have or can't see that option.

  5. More direct 'Submit' button

I have a pharma client that I've been working on a Sales Aid for. It was created in InDesign Interactive. At the end of this 8 page (or so) document, there's a simple form for people to request a patient starter kit. No signature is required. We would like to have people submit the form directly to my client, but in Acrobat Pro, the form goes to the end user's email address and they need to forward the form on to my client. This is a 2-step process and not ideal at all for user experience. Client wants the form…

  7. Undocumented feature

Despite the submitForm page in the JavaScript API not mentioning the possibility of using a UNC, based on the behaviour of Acrobat Distribution Wizard I decided to test using a UNC instead of a URL by including the following line in my script associated to the MouseUp event of my custom submit button:

    this.submitForm({cURL:"//SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});

To my satisfaction, everything worked as I suspected.

    The following line also worked:

    this.submitForm({cURL:"smb://SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});

So this seems like an undocumented feature btw pretty useful for small businesses which in general outsource their web services but mantain an onsite file server.

  9. Set Several Field Formats At Once

When creating a form that has many field that need to be formatted as "Number" I'd like to be able to select many fields at once and apply the number format property. I cannot do that now and it requires a lot of extra steps.

  10. Make Adobe Document Services PDF Embed API work for checkboxes

https://github.com/adobe/pdf-embed-api-samples is basically UNUSABLE.....when you have two checkboxes ( yes and no ) ... you give them both the same name and have different 'export' values so they act like radio buttons...check one, the other un-checks....however, in this API, when you check one....all checkboxes with the same name also check.....UNUSABLE....how did this get by QA?

  13. Bug - Prepare Form properties dialog

I'm editing 2 different PDF forms, last years an internal PDF form created from external source pdf and this years external source PDF with changes converted to a PDF form.

    1. I can't open the 2 forms in separate instances of PDF form editor, or at least it is not ready apparent on how to do this.

    2. Being that I'm unable to open the forms in 2 separate instances, I open both PDFs in same instance and pull one of the tabs to another monitor.
2a. Each time I click on the properties menu item, the dialog box is shared by…

  14. Compatibiliy with Microsoft developer ttools

Adobe Prepare forms should be able to read the fields created in Microsoft Word using the developer tool for content controls. Currently Adobe prepare form does not recognize the fields from a developed Word document and this prevents creating a fillable form as advertised for the current Adobe Pro DC product.

  15. Adobe Reader for Linux

I need Adobe Reader DC on Ubuntu, because it's the only pdf reader who can open and edit pdf files with forms (xml embeeded).
I am forced to use Windows only for this application: Adobe Reader. And only to fill in a pdf tax form and send it to my local administration.
Maybe there is a way to create a payed version of Adobe Reader for Linux users.
    Thank you!

  16. Templates

Adobe should have a selection of basic template similar to those Microsoft has (or had). Suggestions include basic business forms, cards, and calendars. I thought Adobe already had these but was told by a chat person that you do not. They said I needed to make my own. Thanks for considering this.

  17. When converting an Excel file to PDF, the cell borders do not convert correctly and appear to be different weights.

When I created a form in Excel, and tried to Convert to PDF, the borders around the cells show up as various weights. Please add a tool that can make the weights uniform.

  18. form template

I need to send in CMS-1500 forms on a regular basis. I would like a template to be able to do this. The only thing that has to change on the form are some of the dates and payment amounts. Can I use a template, fill in some of the fields, send to sign and then recover the template for the next use.

  19. acrobat dc Text box inner margins

Please allow us to make our own 'inner margins' for textboxes when we create fillable PDF forms... the automatic margins you've set inside the textbox option are not useful and deletes our ability to collect as much information as possible on our forms... please stop 'dumbing down' your product. :) thank you
