  1. Documents such as petitions are often numbered. This is so a set of identical documents assigned to different people can be tracked, to ensure that all pages are accounted for. Being able to print a unique sequential number in the footer of each page would be a tremendous enhancement. For example, if I were printing 500 pages of a 2-page document in duplex mode, I would want a serial number to appear on the footer of the first page in this sequence: 1001, 1002, 1003.....1499, 1500.

  2. When printing with Letter and Legal in the same document. Adobe prints everything on letter. When I select to print only the legal page Adobe prints on legal paper.

  7. Please make a selection to define a standard printer.

I have two printers in use with my MacBook Pro.

    1x label printer

    1x inkjet printer

Adobe Acrobat always uses the label printer and not the default printer.

In the system settings, the default printer is the inkjet printer.

All programs, regardless of whether they are Office or system programs, recognize this device, but not Adobe.

  8. We are a print and packaging company and use the Acrobat Upload feature in Outlook when sending proofs - It is awesome and saves a huge amount of time. Now I have been wanting to speed up the "Approval" time by contacting our clients which we send these links to, however I do not want to nag them thus I was thinking that if there was a download notification which gets sent once the client has downloaded the file - then we cold follow up as we know that they have downloaded the file but not approved it yet.

    Hope…

  10. I'm having trouble with pdf portfolio keeping the same print setting for all of the documents in the portfolio. For example, I may have 28 pdf files in the portfolio and I want each file to print front to back and staple. It will print the first file to spec, but the subsequent files will print single-sided or front to back without stapling. How do I change this? Those in my office who use a pc do not have this problem.

  13. Can an option be implemented that will allow portions of a file in "system protection" mode to be printed.

Currently to print files from the internet I seem to have to "enable All" features - whatever All features include in order to print many, if not all files.
Frequently I definitely do NOT want whatever links in the file and any other processes that could connect to other systems or get "stuff" from the internet, or possibly change settings on my system.
I just need a hard copy of a document - or maybe just a single page.

  14. Adobe Acrobat DC desperately needs an 'Append' feature.
    - When we do invoicing, we print the invoice to a PDF file, then pay the invoice and have a payment receipt from the bank. This gets combined with the original invoice file (appended) and saved for accounting and records.
    - With Nitro Pro, this was super-simple. We simply made the first PDF then when we printed the second file (the receipt file) to a pdf we selected the first file and got a dialog box asking if we wanted to 'replace' or 'append' the new file to the existing one. Select…

  15. There is a button in Adobe Acrobat Pro that allows toggling thin line weights as shown on the screen on and off but there is now way to get the document to print with thin lines. This is true of both PDF and physical printers. This can make working with and sharing readable engineered drawings difficult. Please follow up on this regardless of vote count! If you need to gauge interest in this request you should search "how to print thin lines in Adobe Acrobat" and easily see that this improvement would be widely appreciated. Adobe has obviously realized the…

  16. The default printing preferences are Letter even though my Windows regional settings are not US. Should be A4.

I change the default from Windows Settings>Devices>Printers & scanners>Adobe PDF>Manage>Printing preferences>Adobe PDF Page Size but it resets every time Acrobat updates!

    Please fix both these issues.

  17. Many have asked for this for years & I saw at least one other suggestion of this declined for some reason...please make it so that all text/comments entered within scrolling text boxes in a fillable PDF can be printed out......or maybe make it clear somewhere in your help information that this just can't be done for some reason.

  18. The joined file is a simple image JPEG which has been converted into PostScript with 'jpeg2ps'. The resulting PostScript file is only a wrapper around the JPEG file which is coded in ASCII85 inside. Acrobat Distiller 20.0 (Windows) converts into a blank file. However, it was correctly converted in Acrobat Distiller X and XI. It's also converted correctly by GhostScript. Remark: I have renamed the file image.txt because it was impossible to load a file with the extension ps. However, when changing the extension to ps, it's my file.

  19. Please make it possible to deselect the Acrobat print dialog and instead use the native print settings only.

It would save a ton of misprints and wasted paper.
All other apps can make it work, so I believe you can too.

  20. Adobe will not print on my HP Designjet T520 as is says the printer is offline. Drivers and Adobe are up to date. Foxit PDF reader has no issues printing my files but lacks some things i like about adobe. I think there is an issue with your software to not recognize a printer. I would not be saying this if Foxit or other PDF readers had an issue printing on this printer but adobe is the only one who will not see the printer is online.
