  1. I am using MacOS Big Sur 11.6 and Acrobat Acrobat version 2021.007.20099.

The attached "Ful Score" PDF is displayed properly on the screen by Acrobat, but Acrobat prints it badly. I also included two screenshots, a *.png of Acrobat's display of the PDF (which looks OK) and a pdf produced by scanning a physical printout of that same PDF printed by Acrobat, which shows that Acrobat prints the file really badly.

The PDF was produced by Sibelius. I might say Sibelius was at fault for producing a bad PDF (probably with layers, but I'm not sure of the internals), except…

  2. User has a Citrix virtual desktop with a USB HP printer connected to a Thin Client, and redirected into the Citrix desktop using the Citrix Universal Printer.
Prior to this version, opening a PDF and printing to that redirected printer presented no problem. On this most recent version it does with a quick "The document could not be printed" error and then it spits out a blank page.
Ideally I'd like to get my hands on 20.005.20058 to verify this, but I cannot find the full download now. I have however installed an older version 15.*** and this prints just…

  3. I would like to be able to insert print breaks (force next page to print on top page in duplex).

Currently, the only way to do this is to add a blank page, however, this looks very odd when viewing the electronic version versus the printed copy. It would be nice if there was a way to force certain pages to be treated as a first page for printing purposes (conceptually similar to how a page break forces the next line of text onto the next page)

    Use Case: Office Procedure Manual

    HI Chuck,

Thank you for reporting this bug. Please provide the following details:
    1. Is this happening with all PDFs or just one?
    2. Please provide a sample PDF with which this issue is happening
    3. Screenshot of print dialog with preview

    Regards,
    Ritesh

  5. When distilling attached Postscript the generated PDF shows error when opening. I have narrowed it down to an image which has imagemask set to true as well as mask array in it. This is incorrect as per specification.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 10.0.0.

  6. When printing an Internet-Document from Firefox 57 the print generates multiple errors if the title of the document to print contains quotation marks. The error box mentions: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2015\Acrobat\Intellektuelle" Diese Datei kann nicht geöffnet werden." (The file could not be opened. Verify the correct location." - should be the approximate translation.)

Where the "Intellektuelle" is the first word of the documet title inside the quotation marks. The same error appears for every word in the title and one additional time. The PDF finally generated contains only part of the document to print. You could try it with the…

  7. Google Chrome = Latest Version
    Acrobat X Pro
Observation: Had no problem prior until 7/28/2017 when I noticed I had problem printing from a webpage (e.g. eBay.com) to PDF using Adobe Acrobat print driver. The printing would stall and this Distiller error would show up each time. Also strange is, I could clear this error message other than restarting my computer. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  8. I am a Prepress tech using an APPE workflow, the most current release. I have been seeing problems, since my upgrade and the advent of the CC, with PDF 1.4 being submitted for print. Mostly transparency problems. I have people modify their Adobe Press Quality PDF Preset to PDF 1.7, from InDesign. It helps greatly. Also makes me feel more confident in the soft proofing process, as v1.7 passes my EnFocus and RIP preflights better than lesser PDF versions. And I know this is an InDesign PDF export setting problem, but it is a Distiller preset, available within Indy. Can…

  9. custom scale is not properly centering the scaled document in the latest acrobat reader update. Custom scale is positioning the scaled document into the upper top left and left side; and truncating the upper left top and side. Applies to print to file as well as physical printer.

  10. The "print in grayscale" button does not work on Adobe Acrobat Pro. I didn't have an issue with it printing in grayscale until I upgraded.

When I click the option, the file still prints in color and I have wasted so much ink doing this. You can click properties and select black/grayscale to circumvent this issue, but it's unnecessary when the button works fine for the free version.

My Adobe is up to date, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the issue persists. I've found comments on previous threads from years ago saying they have the same issue.

    Please, just…

  11. 30 page document. Zoom into a table on a page.
Select Print | More options | Current view .... can't - its greyed out???!

This document is well over 10 years old, and has never caused an issue with all prior versions of reader. Does improving the software mean a reduction in capability and a marked increase in advertising guff in Adobe language?

    Disabled new Adobe.
    Opened document.
Printed view as expected, no issues.

Regression test the rubbish you write and don't release it to your customers until it is at least as stable as what you replace.

  12. It's nothing huge, but when you finish sending the print job to the printer with the Save Ink/Toner setting, a prompt pops up and says, "saved upto 15%" instead of Up to 15%. The words are just squished together. I forgot to take a screenshot though.

  13. Scenario/Description: I have a large PDF that is 310 pages, so I'd like to print selected pages to a new PDF for smaller files. e.g. print pages 168 - 208. Upon printing selected pages to a new PDF, it opens the created file and the total page count is correct, but the selected page number is wrong as it starts its count from its position in the original file (i.e. so instead of showing page 1 out of 41, it shows page 168 out of 41).

Preconditions: PDF with multiple pages open (310 from scenario above) in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  15. I am mass printing forms that contain signatures created by drawing on tablets or mobile devices to Acrobat PRO; however I am seeing that some signatures are being covered by a black box when opened in Pro. It is random. This does not happen when I try to Save as PDF and not bring the image into Adobe however I then lose all Adobe Pro capabilities like Combine, OCR, Organize, etc

  16. Adobe Acrobat Pro Continuous Release Version 2023.006.20360 on iMac running macOS Sonoma 14.0 will not print any PDFs. Error message is "There were no pages selected to print." User forum reports date back to 2015-2016 and don't work for me. This is a critical issue as I rely heavily on printed PDFs for many of my final products. Could it be compatitibility with Sonoma 14.0? Thank you.

  17. Before the update, Pattern designers could provide a list of layers, with one layer being one size of the pattern. This allowed printing of only one layer (size) of a pattern instead of all the sizes at once. The print preview shows the proper layers selected, but it prints all layers of the file.

  18. Acrobat should behave logically: If I get 5 sheets of output when printing normally, I should get those same 5 sheets -- only in reverse order -- if I click the "Reverse pages" option. For duplex printing, the current implementation makes no sense.

Suppose a 3-page document. With normal page order we get:

    Sheet 1: Page 1/Page 2

    Sheet 2: Page 3/blank.

With "Reverse pages" we SHOULD get:

    Sheet 1: Blank/page 3

    Sheet 2: Page 2/Page 1

But what we actually get is:

    Sheet 1: Page 3/Page 2

    Sheet 2: Page 1/blank

Yes, there is a circumstance under which that…

  20. Received non-electronically signed document, but could not print document with signature (it does not show on the printout); technician directed me to open document in Reader in order to print the image with the signature. If I normally work in Adobe Acrobat Pro and I open all my documents with it, should I be able to print my documents from the same program? Would love to not have to think about this every time I want to print something that was signed separately.
