designer's pdf inspector
It would be great to have a pdf inspection mode to easily select items in the pdf and get printing specs on it like the ink type (pms, cmyk) and color used (pms 281, C100M60Y0K6), the font, the resolution of an image as dpi at the current used size, etc.

Advanced Print Options Do Not Save Correctly in Custom Profiles
In Acrobat XI Pro and Acrobat DC, when using the Advanced settings in Print, items such as Screening do not actually persist with saved custom profiles. If you select settings and save it under a new profile, switch to another and then view the profile where you had the desired settings, the settings will be found to never have saved in the first place.
Additionally there is no way to save these custom profiles as a default.

"Print as Handouts" feature
A "Print as Handouts" feature similar to the 2x6 feature in Microsoft PowerPoint. It is common for lecture slides to be released as single slide per page pdf documents, rather than the original PPT file. Because of this, you can only choose to print a number of pages per page (slides per page) in Adobe Acrobat but there is no option, like in powerpoint, for handouts (that is, have 3 slides/pages on the left side of a sheet and 3 boxes to the right that are blank with ruled lines on it for taking notes).

Page numbering in Excel
While in an Excel workbook, I want to print/convert multiple worksheets to PDF. The page numbering does NOT need to be a master count of all worksheets. If worksheet one is two pages, it should be 1 of 2 and 2 of 2. If worksheet two is three pages, it should be 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3. NOT 3 of 5, 4 of 5, 5 of 5.
Older versions of Acrobat worked seamlessly. I have tried many workarounds and have not found anything that works. I have called Adobe Tech Support and have had no luck.

Distiller: moveto the currentpoint results in a continuation of current sub-path, not a new sub-path
In Distiller XI Pro 11.0.20 (28.03.2017), distill the following:
%!PS
/StrokeCode {1 setlinejoin gsave 0 setlinecap 24 setlinewidth 0 setgray stroke grestore 1 setlinecap 9.6 setlinewidth 1 setgray stroke} def
144 72 moveto 144 144 2 copy 72 144 curveto
72 144 moveto 144 144 2 copy 144 72 curveto
StrokeCode
showpageThe moveto should start a new sub-path; display of that point should be determined by setlinecap not by setlinejoin. Alas, Distiller causes it to be determined by setlinejoin.

Replace the word emit with omit.
In advanced printer settings, when selecting a color to exclude from printing (tiny printer icons next to cyan, magenta, yellow, and black color blocks), please change the word emit with omit. Very different meanings.
