  2. Using Win11 I have found a method to decrypt PDF's with only the access password and not being the document's owner.

After encrypting a PDF using Acrobat Pro you can send the file over Microsoft Teams, saving it to the sharepoint/onedrive file, you can then open the document in browser from the sharepoint location opposed to the local original file location and only the access password is required. The editing restriction password is no longer required and you can copy and paste the file contents.

  3. Redact - please make it possible to use multiple replacement texts or images

I want to use a few of different replacement texts while redacting one document.
I would be very usefull when each replacement text has an own icon in the tool bar. Each replacement text has an other color on the screen, before the redactions are applied.

Now I have to save the document each time, when I need to change the replacement text for redaction.

  4. I've been using digital signatures in Adobe Acrobat for YEARS. Just got a new PC for work and digital signatures are not working properly or consistently. Documents that need signatures always need two. The second person (no matter who it is) always has problems and the experience changes each time. Sometimes, the certification toolbar won't come up. Sometimes the visible signature option is not available. Sometimes the software goes completely black. There is never any error message. The software just doesn't work for the second signature. Both brand new machines. Both have exactly the same software versions. Both use the…

  5. Some organizations have security standards like disabling cloud storage so users cannot access data from out of office devices. Currently there is no FULL way to disable cloud storage. You can implement registry keys to stop to storage however there are work arounds that will still let you store data. Would love to have an option to completely stop the storage without having to implement registry keys or port blocks on the entire organizations computers / network. Im actually shocked this isnt a feature already.

  6. Federal Law (RULONA) requires that Remote Online Notaries (RONs) maintain a video recording of the notary (virtually) meeting with the signers of legal documents. The ability to e-sign, and add a notary stamp on a pdf form, gets us most of the way there, but Adobe is missing the video recording component. Is it in the works? There is a tremendous need for this product. A single RON closer or signing agent might use this 30 or more times per month!

  7. Adobe DC (pdf editor) need a password recovery method. I created an important and complex document many years ago and now need to edit it because some of the media links have changed. I had given it a password because I didn't know what I was doing, and now need to change the links, but I have long ago forgotten the password.

  8. Cannot sign PDF with certificate using Adobe Pro DC - SERIOUS BUG.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 21.005.20058 (and previous versions like 20.009.20063) work OK, but Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 21.005.20058 (latest version) generates the error:

Adobe Acrobat Error encountered while signing
    Error encountered while signing
The credential selected for signing is invalid

System: macOS 11.5.1 (20G80) Big Sur.

No problem with older Adobe Acrobat Pro DC versions like 2020.009.20063), but error with all newer Pro versions.

This serious bug that blocks productivity workflows has been unfixed for more than a year now, even after reporting it many times. I hope…

  10. Remove the 6-digit requirement for a password. I need to be able to do a 4-digit password. I tried the workaround in the registry but it's not working. I am not sure why Adobe feels the need to set this requirement when it's not their document that is being protected.

  12. I have encountered several cases of PDF documents in the past few years. When I signed the first signature, Acrobat DC verified the signature correctly, but when I added the second signature (even though the second signature was signed with Acrobat DC) , Acrobat DC will report that the previous signature is invalid, but I didn’t actually make any changes. Other PDF software (Acrobat 9.0 Pro/iText/Foxit) can verify these signatures correctly. I don't understand what causes the Acrobat DC verification to fail?

    In addition, I also encountered a "1 miscellaneous change(s)" problem in Case1.pdf

  13. I'm trying to create a fillable-form for a prescription that will create a password-protected file on save (for at least the illusion of security) and I've been unable to do it for days now:

Whenever I tried to create a security policy, no matter what combination of options I chose... I'd get to the review step, click finish and the whole security policies option window would close completely.

Eventually I decided to try not including a password, and it saved fine and took me back to the list of security policies, where I could now see my new entry.

    This…

  14. Good afternoon. I need to create hundreds of 1 page certificates. In MS Word I use the Mail Merge to include the participants names and signature. I convert all of them into a pdf file. With Adobe Acrobat Pro, I bookmark every certificate with the participants name. Before the name, I need to write "Certificate" so the name of each pdf would be for example "Certificate Joe Doe". I do this manually in the bookmark part. Then, in the Organize Pages part, I split them by Top Level Bookmarks. In Output Options, I wish there would be an…

  15. I would like to be able to send Request Signature documents from inside of Adobe that are password protected. It seems silly that we can password protect documents from inside of adobe for viewing but can't select a recipient to send the that same documents for them to view, sign, and return, all while being password protected. I guess if security is of the utmost concern then Adobe is not the program you should select to send secure documents. I hope they fix this function soon.

  17. Certificates issued by dgn.de fail to verifiy even though they're eIDAS compliant. It seems that the certificate which is used to sign the OCSP response is not in the known list (which it should be as it is also an eIDAS certificate). For OCSP the certificate is used: dgnservice qOCSP 23:PN.
The company has also discovered the issue.

  18. In order to facilitate the creation of faux-redacted documents for internal stakeholders (i.e., it looks like the redacted document that we will send out, but it contains the redacted information for future reference), highlights should be easily convertible to redactions.

  19. Please add an option to modify the date format in the digital signature.

    I mean:
    - shortening the format from 2021.10.07 '00'02 + 07:29:00 to simply 2021.10.07,
    - possibility to edit the size of the date,
    - possibility to change the format to dd/mm/yyyy
    - possibility to change the separators to dd.mm.yyyy
