  1. Can we use Windows group policy to opt-out on data collection for users for privacy reasons? By default it's set to opt-in for a user before they log on but we would like to opt-out without the users' intervention.

  3. When the OCSP response used to check the validity of a eIDAS QES signature certificate is signed using a different root certificate than used for signing the user certificate, the signature validity is shown as UNKNOWN, although this procedure is in conformity with the European Union eIDAS regulation. Currently, this problem occurs with signature cards of the German Health Network trust center. More information (in German) can be found at https://www.intarsys.de/faq/Hinweise-validierung-reader.

  4. When Acrobat tries to verify digital signatures, it checks validity of all certificates included in the signed .pdf document. During this operation, it consults well-known Root CA authorities, locally trusted certificates, but also fetches all certificates from PKCS#11 Digital-ID token (if attached).

Since PKCS#11 Digital-ID tokens might be very slow, fetching certificates from it multiple times during each signature verification takes excessive amounts of time. No caching seems to be used in Acrobat: if the .pdf document contains 6 certificates, all certificates from Digital-ID token are fetched 6 times and this process might take 2.5 minutes.

    This is a bug…

  5. We are currently experiencing a problematic issue concerning validating signatures in PDF files created with Adobe PRO. We are using a third party platform that places the signatures (3 signers) and its audittrail into the PDF with a Hash. All signings are placed succesfully but after i download the file again it will not validate the signatures because the file has been changed according to Adobe. This, however, is not the case and Foxit PDF does succesfully validate the signatures. After some research we have learned that Adobe registers a change between the placing the last signature and the time…

  6. When redacting within a document, if the redaction space is to small to show all of the overlay text associated with the redaction code, the overlay text is cut off. The request is to wrap the text within the redaction area to show all of the code text.

  7. Need to be able to highlight text and add header/footer/file name to digitally signed documents (with the option of keeping it clean). This DOES NOT IMPAIR content or security of the file and does not change/invalidate the document execution. Please note, this precisely is a huge issue with digitally signed documents in that they are impossible to work with afterward For reasons of confidentiality, I can not attach an example file. ***My idea: allow highlight/notation/header/footer BUT INCLUDE A FEATURE: a "send with/without notations" and a "print with/without notes" feature. It would make these files far more manageable post-execution in that…

  11. The creator of a document can edit a password protected PDF by using their regular account password. Or perhaps there is a recovery system for a forgotten password, like email, text, questions, etc.

  12. It is not possible to change the by default black color for signature in ADOBE SIGN (see customer service chat attached)

This is a strong requisite in some countries. If this can not be met we will need to move to other signature software that allows this option.

I see this option is already available in Adobe Reader Fill and Sign for IOS so PLEASE include this option for ADOBE SIGN since it looks like an easy fix.

If this is not possible please provide the reason to try to understand the limitation.

  13. When implementing all Adobe/Protect security features to prevent printing, copying, or editing a secured pdf, the PDF can still be edited, copied or printed when opened by the Chrome Document Previewer. With the print option reenabled in the previewer, you can print the secured document as a PDF and save to a file directory and upon opening the saved copy, all security policies have been removed. After discovering this, I researched to see if there was an oversight on my part and stumbled across an article on WikiHow titled, "How to Unlock a Secure PDF File" which outlines a similar…

  15. Accessibility checkers (such as CommonLook) reject PDFs with visible digital signatures, presumably because they lack an Alt-Text feature like standard images have.

We have new requirements to produce all documents for web postings as being accessible, which means we cannot use digital signatures until they become compliant with accessibility requirements.

Please add Alt-Text capabilities or another means of making digital signatures accessibility-compliant. It would be nice if default Alt-Text could be set as part of the digital signature configuration (e.g., "Signature of John Smith".

Please don't tell me it's for my security. It's just Big Brother wanting to maintain control. Please delete the login.

  19. I need a simple box that can be added into a form which activates the drawing tool to enter a manual signature. If someone is filling out a form, they won't know at the signature point they have to jump to the tool menu and select the pen. For a user they are in the form, keep them in the form. Just a simple setting on a signature box to switch it to pen rather then Digital ID would be great.
