  1. Copy Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome's vertical tabs feature for open documents. I often have many tabs open and documents which have been saved or named similarly - especially the first few letters of the filename. This makes navigating between documents difficult because you can't see enough of the file name or title. You have to remember them based on the position of the tabs (which of course changes as you add tabs).

Also, I would like to be able to edit the file name or the file title directly from the tab, even with the document open.

  2. As described in the title, it would be nice to have the file path in the tooltip of the file tab. It helps to easily recognize where the file is.

  3. Over the past few weeks I've noticed Acrobat has suddenly started triggering an array Windows notifications to update, install, or restart. (Side question: we seriously need to do a system restart for an Acrobat update? For real?)

I'm not sure what UX philosophy prompted this behavior, but I'd really rather it stop. While I think Acrobat is a solid piece of software, I really don't use it that much and I really don't care when there's an update for it.

Considering how no other Adobe app sends repeated notifications like this, I'm a little confused as to why this now…

  4. The current bookmark system is very flexible and feature rich, but is usually overkill for what I need. When I want to save my place in a PDF book, for example, instead of creating a new bookmark and editing it as I continue reading it would be much easier to just right-click on an existing bookmark and in the context (i.e. popup) menu have an option for "Save my place". Then, when I come back to the document it should just open to that location. Simple.

  6. The first thing I do when I open a PDF 90% of the time is Ctl+H to go into read mode. Could there be an option to open in read mode by default?

  7. This basically a bug that detracts from your product. Due to this feature, you cannot scroll on tablets. Minimizing does NOT fix this.

  8. As of this morning, when I close my open PDFs (using the X that appears when I mouseover the Windows taskbar), closing the final PDF does not close Acrobat itself. Instead it takes me to the Acrobat home screen.

I don't want this. I want to close Acrobat when I close my final open PDF. I don't see why anyone would want this behaviour, but even if some do, please make it an option (as it has been in the past) to close Acrobat completely when I'm done with my final PDF.

This is an unhelpful and anti-productive change.

    EDIT…

  9. SEARCH: Pale blue/grey highlight is very difficult to find in documents with similar colours. Please add shade colour selection.

  10. Make the application, file, and window icon the same. Personal preference is the easier to see red version.

  11. It's very annoying to have the page with Home and Tools, and recent documents, open every time a PDF is opened. Please give us an option to stop that from happening.

  12. The left side of the Navigation Pane won't open with a click of the arrow. It used to, but something happened to the installation. I reinstalled with the latest version, but it still doesn't work correctly.

  14. The rotate function should be part of the default toolbar again! (I can find the "rotate view" button by clicking on View, but that doesn't actually change the document orientation, just temporarily changes the view). I'm sure it's there somewhere, but this occurs so often you shouldn't have to go even one layer down to get to this function.

    1. Open a colourmanaged Pdf with emdedded profile in Acrobat DC and also open the same Pdf in Photoshop. Colourprofiles are ignored in Acrobat DC.
    2. Happens on: Windows 10, Acrobat DC pro 2021.001.20142, Nvidia Geforce 1070 Driver 27.21.14.6172 and below.
    3. Colours should be equal in indesign (where the file was produced), Acrobat and Photoshop.
    4. Colours are not equal. Acrobat DC ignores the embedded profile.

In noncloud versions of Acrobat for example Acrobat Pro 8 colourmanagement worked fine.

  15. The output preview ("op") window has a standard width that can not be underrun. As the window is very big, it would help if you could narrow the window more than it is possible at the moment. Therefore you would have more space on the monitor for your document itself. In my case with my older monitor, the window uses nearly one-third of the space of the whole screen and annoys me very often.

  16. This new version looks so childish! Not professional in appearance at all.

AND... too many steps to digitally sign a document! It used to be so easy! Can't you revert back to what worked smoothly???????

I truly detest working in Acrobat now.

  17. Currently the preferences window is very hard to use and frankly, broken:

You can't scroll with a touchpad.

You can't scroll with a touchscreen.

You can't scroll with a mousewheel.

Scrolling over a combo box changes the setting >:(

Content doesn't scroll when you drag the scrollbar!

The preferences window cannot resize small enough for smaller screens.

    Overall: infurating.
