   First of all I want to thank all of you guys you are doing a great job.

   second, I know that we can attach a jpg file ,but you will have to leave the reader and open it and when you send it to others it won't open and I know that we can edit pdf to add images ,but sometimes there is no enough space in the page and its so hard to readjust the pdf so it looks normal again, so if we could to comment with a sticky note but we can add in that sticky note a jpg image so that we could write a caption with the image it would be so helpful especially for students of chemistry ,pharmaceutical science and medicine .

2. Acrobat DC PRO (20125 /20138) not working with BPDX files

   Since acrobat pro dc 20135, and patch 20138, acrobat is not working with BPDX files to update a search index. I call acrobat.exe with a bpdx file passed as an argument, acrobat launches, and then the window appears as it did before attempting to update the index. Then message appears "fatal search engine error (-6) not able to find the file". I just went through an issue - after update 20135, with acrobat not being able to search a PDX file - saying file not found. Update 20138 fixed the issue with acrobat but I suspect the issue still exists with the bpdx files

3. [Bug Repot] thermometer (progress bar) produces error when trying to change its value (i.e. progress the bar)

   Since the 2021 update (21.001.20135), there is an error when using multiple (overlaying) instances of the progress bar with JavaScript. Code that used to work before now generates an error.

   The error is:

   GeneralError: Operation failed.
   Thermometer.value:1:Console undefined:Exec
   

   To reproduce this, run the following code from the console (JavaScript Debugger):

   // Define the progress bar (thermometer) as a variable for easy reference

   // Now start another progress bar

4. Adobe Acrobat DC Search index fail

   Adobe Acrobat DC (21.001.20135)

   Yesterday 11/2/21, my Adobe Acrobat DC pro stopped searching indexes I have made. I Opened an index file (*.pdx) which I built using Adobe Acrobat DC pro a couple of weeks previous and when you search for a term, no results are found.
   So I re-built the index again (~8 mins duration) and the index was then able to return hits on search terms. It worked throughout the day yesterday with no problems.

   This morning, I opened the index again (the one I re-built on 11/2) and again it doesn't find any results on search terms that were giving me hits yesterday after I re-built it.
   There is something wrong with Adobe. I am not sure if it has updated recently? The small Adobe symbol at the top left corner of the software used to be black, but now is red? Suggesting a change or update to the software.

5. Auto-name drag-and-drop extracted pages

   Hello,

   My company is in need of a feature that allows the user to control the auto-naming of drag and drop extract pages from Adobe Acrobat.

   Currently, when selecting a few pages from an existing PDF, dragging and dropping them into a file folder onto the computer, the file created is automatically named "Untitled Extract Pages."

   I have a PDF with 400 pages. I have to extract 2-3 at a time and manually rename them. This wouldn't be an issue if they all needed different names, but I need them to keep the same name as the parent file with no change. So if my big PDF is named "ABC123" then I need every file that is extracted from that PDF to be auto-named "ABC123"

   I hope this is clear, and I'm happy to elaborate. I would be very thankful if someone could contact me about this feature, as I need it sooner rather than later for my company.

6. Stop the Adobe Desktop Service.exe from memory hogging

   Adobe should fix this (Desktop Service) supporting application for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC from taking up so much memory as a background process. Currently about 240 MBytes of memory. If all it is doing is checking the licence, why does it need so much space??!

7. Ctrl+F find pattern on next page (walk through search results)

   Searching for Words will sometimes end in more than one result on each page of a multi page document.

   What i would like to suggest today is having a shortcut for "Find on next Page".

   This will be very useful if you have e.g. a stack of independent invoice pages an looking for a specific invoice containing the search pattern. If the search pattern was found multiple times on each page, it's a bit annoying to walk throu each result on a single page while avaiting a next result on another page.

   Can be gladly realized using a combination of "Find Next" Shortcut in combination with "Alt" or "Shift"-Key.

   Provide Auto-Cancel at end of year.

   Other services allow you to check a box that says; after the year if up, would you like us to auto-renew your subscription? And you can select yes or no.

   Please provide this option, I'm forced into remembering to cancel it within a month and risk paying for a product I never use for the whole year because of missing it.

9. Allow greater precision for control points in Geospatial Measures Dictionary

   In the Adobe SDK Extension to the PDF (ISO32000) standard, Extension Level 3, there are several Array structures that encode a series of control points for Geospatial measurement.

   In particular, we are interested in the /GPTS and /LPTS arrays in the Geospatial Measure Dictionary.

   Since the elements of these arrays are PDF number objects, we can only expect a limited amount of floating-point precision to be preserved by PDF reader implementations (which typically represent PDF number objects as either 32-bit integers or 32-bit IEEE 754 single-precision floating point). This amount of precision is often insufficient for workflows that involve recovering precise geospatial data from Geospatial PDFs.

   For example, imagine we have a control point at the center of the court at Adobe Headquarters (latitude 37.33106, longitude -121.8937). Given that a 32-bit float has ~7 digits of precision, we can expect to see at least some error in the last digit when we perform arithmetic using that control point and page point locations. In order to get a sense of the scale of the error, let's vary each coordinate by 1 on the last digit (eg. latitude 37.33105, longitude -121.8935): we get a location that is ~10 meters away from center of the court (nearby the southeast corner of the court). Thus, by commutativity, we could expect to be introducing error of that magnitude to all locations described by the Geospatial measurement frame.

   In order to better preserve coordinate precision, it would be beneficial to amend the supplemental specification to allow a greater number of significant figures to be encoded in control point coordinates. This would eliminate the control points as a significant source of error (leaving only the page point coordinates, which could then at least be preserved in the maximum fidelity allowed by their own PDF number representation).

   We suggest that this could be accomplished by allowing optional arrays, corresponding to the /GPTS and /LPTS arrays, that would store string objects instead of number objects. These objects could be parsed by the consuming application as floating-point values of arbitrary precision. These optional arrays would be included in addition to and in supplement to the /GPTS and /LPTS arrays, and could be ignored by applications that do not require that level of precision.

12. When PDF thumbnails are enabled in Acrobat DC, Explorer starts crashing in Windows 10.

    This is a bug report. It starts as soon as you enable thumbnails in Acrobat DC (or earlier also). Explorer.exe starts crashing. Screenshot attached. Removing thumbnails fixes the issue.

14. Individual document analytics

    The Publish Online dashboard is great, but it looks like the analytics are for all documents published. Is there a plan anytime soon to add to the analytics capabilities for each document? I would love to know how each document did once published instead of a whole group. Thank you!

    Es wäre schön, wenn Bar-codes nicht nur über Formulare generiert werden könnten, sondern auch in bereits gecsannte Textdokumente z.B. mittels Hinzufügen eines Textes im Format z.B. EAN 128 (oder auch anderen Bar-code Formaten) hinzugefügt werden könnten.

    Derzeit müssen vor dem Scannen Aufkleber mit dem passenden Code aufgeklebt werden, dann wird das Document mittels Dokumentenscanner (Fi7460) gesannt und im pdf-Format unter der Dateibezeichnung des aufgeklebten Barcodes abgespeichert ...... (sehr umständlich)

16. update ADMX/ADM Files

    Hello,

    I would like to see an update to the ADMX/ADM files for Adobe DC and other versions. It is a little bit of a hassle to try and find all the features and what can be done from an administrative space by looking through pages and trying to think of what we want and what can be done. The ADMX files that I was provided by support are really out of date and do not have things like turning off cloud storage. This could easily be done via some ADMX files, but since those are not updated with possible options, I have to manually add each registry change and push that down to people's machines. Having an ADMX file for GPO's really speeds up that process and lets us admins see different things we can do with the applications.

19. Option to display dual units when measuring

    When measuring areas, I often display results in square feet. If I need acres, I have to change the display option to acres. I need both units displayed, so going back and forth is a bit tedious plus I have no on screen documentation of both results unless I add one of the results to a post comment. An option to select a 2nd user specified unit would be a great help. A typical result could be "9781.61 sq. ft. = 0.224 ac." (A conversion to metric would also be useful.) Three significant figures is customary in math circles.

20. Add Meta Data Fields to organize where documents are saved

    It would really help to have standard Meta Data database such as a vendor name list that can be used when saving files. Especially if the metadata can be used in the file path, and create folders if they do not exist. For example if Vendor ABC is added to the file path and the program does not find him in the invoices folder, it creates the folder and saves the file under that new vendor. If the vendor exists, then it just adds the file. You need a standard database of vendors for that to work. An entity data column would be nice or department etc. so files can be better organized. Basically a table with a number of columns that you can use to standardize the naming and location of documents.
