  3. Measurement tool provides measurements in feet and decimals. American metrics are feet and inches, decimals need to be converted to be understood by the end user.

  5. Some PDF documents seem to contain meta data content that's causing Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader to move/resize their program window when such document is opened.

This behaviour is rather annoying and it may lead to accessibility issues.

Please, either stop Acrobat/Reader from moving/resizing their program window when opening a document containing such meta data information, or provide an accessibility option in Preferences to optionally have Acrobat ignore that meta data information.

    Hi,
The issue faced by you is due to the setting of the document set by the user. Please see the following setting in the document :
    1. Open Document→File → Properties → Initial View Tab → uncheck Center Window on screen

Please make sure the setting is not checked in your document to avoid the issue.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  6. Customize Quick Tools resets after every boot on a brand new computer with a new install of Acrobat DC. Why is there NO WAY to export settings for quick import and/or copying to other machines?! This is 2018, not 1995.

  7. Permanent crop tool that actually removes cropped content. Masking content does not work for PDFs that need to be later uploaded online. It botches thumbnail creation and causes files to be unnecessarily large.

Sorry fot the inconvenience caused to you.
You can crop the file by following below steps.
    1) Open a pdf
    2) Click on edit pdf
    3) Select option Crop Pages
    4) Now select the desired area and click enter
    5) Now you can select your desired settings for crop, click ok and save your file.

  8. I have the full version of Adobe Acrobat (DC) and it functions just like Adobe reader. I work with a lot of assembly drawings and I like using Acrobat for annotations, creating lines and notes - I treat it like a lighter version of Illustrator. Since I started using DC, it has been a struggle. I can't find the usual icons that I frequently use in XI and that DC works soooo slow despite that I have a $5k professional computer. Auto-Cad now responds faster than Adobe Acrobat DC. Please bring back Acrobat XI !!!

    I hope the Adobe folks…

  9. I have set scheduled runnig a batch file whcih indexes over 200,000 PDF files every weekend. However index creating has become failed since the week before last and not be able to create .idx files also.

The number of PDF files increases by about 100-200 during a each week, so that I suspect this problem is caused by excess of the max indexable number of PDF files.

    [Questions]
    1. Is there any threshold about the field of indexing?
    2. Is this issue caused by intrinsic bug of Acrobat Pro DC?

    [Environments]
    Windows Server 2012 R2 (64bit)
    Adobe Acrobat Pro DC…

  10. Simply just opening a pdf and attempting to scroll up or down causes the document to lag every time. It's renders the program nearly useless. Since I am paying a month subscription, I expect to not have problems like this.

  11. Adding a feature to delete documents that you no longer need or have downloaded by mistake. I cannot find any way to delete something I no longer want in my Adobe documents. It is kind of frustrating to have to look at the same file to see if I want it and not be able to get rid of it once I see I don't need it. Thanks.

  13. Hi,

The last 64-bit version of Adobe Acrobat DC has introduced the possible display in Windows explorer of the file thumb. Great, BUT it is extraordinarily slow and in practice unusable (in particular in the Windows 10 welcome screen of the explorer, showing the recently opened files: it seems that the cache is rebuilt every new session).

So, please make the appropriate changes in the program to speedup this display, which is very useful.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. For your information, I work on a DELL XPS desktop with an NVidia GTX 970 graphics display card and my main drive…

  20. The dates and times shown in the Date column of a PDF portfolio of Outlook emails are not correct – in the PDF portfolio Date column the email dates and times are seven hours behind the actual dates and times of the emails in the portfolio. Example: Email date and time: March 24, 2018 7:59:26 PM; date and time of email shown in the portfolio Date column: 3/24/2018 12:59:26 PM. This seven-hour difference is the same for sent emails and received emails, i.e., the email date and time of sent emails and the email date and time of received emails…
