I want to compare documents that are signed. I want to identify the differences - !!! Not change them !!! Why is this not available?
I want to compare signed documents. I don't want to change them - just compare to identify changes. Been beating my head against the wall and I cannot understand the logic that prevents using compare.

Greetings! I am sorry to hear that you are facing issues with the compare feature.
It would be great if you could help us with a few queries that will help us in investigating the bug:
- What is the version of Acrobat Pro and the OS that you are using currently?
- Could you please share the workflow that you’re using while using the Compare tool?

File Recovery Program or Service
As I am sure happens with other customers, we have an issue where some of our PDF documents were damaged. A data room service had an incident where downloaded files were truncated. In some cases, the files will not open in Adobe, but they will open in other programs such as Microsoft Edge or SumatraPDF. This is because the footer is damaged, but while Adobe will not open a file that is missing the %%EOF statement or other portions of the PDF document specification, these programs ignore some portions of the specification that are not essential to the data within…

Low Performance
Mac Acrobat always stuck when opening a file from document cloud. Though it is downloading but the system regarded as it was dead. Also, when scrolling in file, or in viewing PDFs, the frame rate is low, about 15 frame per second, or even lower,(5fps). When the search box is open. It is not so friendly on Mac compared to the acrobat on iPad or iPhone, or even the web version!

Output Preview's Object Inspector displays incorrect bitmap image resolution
When clicking on a bitmap image with Output Preview's Object Inspector, the image resolution reported is incorrect. It works as expected with color and grayscale images, but not bitmap (1 bit black and white). My test image is 3"x3" @ 600 PPI. When clicked on with the Object Inspector, Output Preview reports 129,600 PPI.

Confusing Language
Consider hiring a proofreader so users can understand you. On this page I found "If you are still using Acrobat 11.x or other older versions, please note that those are no more supported by Adobe. Try out the latest, Acrobat DC.
In case your concern is not addressed in the latest version, please report the issue against Acrobat DC."I am not a proofreader but I can tell those sentences have issues with English grammar that affects their clarity. As a tech company surely you want to convey to users that you pay attention to detail, are smart, intelligent, and…

Thenwe Dobe Acrobat DC is not nearly as usful as the former Adobe Acrobat. It is so bad that I'm thinking of deleting the new version.
Go back to the older, more useful version.

Acrobat (version 2019.012.20034) crashes constantely when playing interactive PDFs with movies created in Indesign. Computers still on High Sierra with Acrobat 2019.010.20098 do not have this issue.
On Mojave, as soon as you want to play an embedded movie, Acrobat crashes with this:
This PDF cannot be viewed in Acrobat or Reader, and the application will
now exit
Please help, we have updated most of our computers in the uni and students can't view interactive PDFs anymore.

update Acrobat Pro DC 2019.012.20034 crashes when playing movies
Hello, I've created Indesign interactive PDFs for many years (mainly lecture course material), until Acrobat Pro DC version 2019.010.20098 all went well. After the update to 2019.012.20034 all files (from the last three years) with movies in them crash with the error:
This PDF cannot be viewed in Acrobat or Reader, and the application will
now exit
This is horrible news for our university, can you please help? Obviously we made sure that Flash etc is up to date. Also we tried different security and multemedia legacy options.
As a "work-around" we are currently re-exporting all Indesign content to fixed…2 votes -

Browsing Advanced Search Results
In versions before Acrobat Pro DC you could scroll through advanced search results with the down arrow. Now you must select and click on the entry, a HUGE time waster and annoying step backward in Acrobat's functionality.

Adobe Acrobat DC - Much buggier than older version, multiple issues
Many issues - generally really don't like the new format because it's much harder to get to simple things like "create a red box", "add text", "edit text", "add signature", etc. But also is critically screwing up my documents in ways that make it untenable to work with. If possible, I would get off of this product (I can't because my employer buys the licenses) and here are the reasons why:
1. Literally reverted my entire document after working on it for 10 days because it couldn't identify some of the text characters (it's got a ton of formulas in…1 vote -
Bug - PDFMaker Office Addin converting italic font to italic bold
Using the "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" to convert a word document to pdf. If the font is Georgia and is set to italics, when the pdf is viewed in Chrome it shows the italic text as bold. When viewed using Acrobat or Reader, the font appears correct. It does not happen when using any other pdf converter (i.e. office's built-in converter) so it appears to be limited to the PDFMaker tool.
I have replicated this on multiple Windows 10 and Windows 7 computers, and I am using Office 365. This only appears to happen using Georgia font, which is…

Add proper LongPath support
Adobe fails to open files when a file path & name exceed MAX_PATH. Windows no longer has a hard path character limit if the LongPathsEnabled key is set in the registry. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/fileio/naming-a-file#maximum-path-length-limitation
Modern applications are adopting this new standard with the mentioned file management hooks provided by the OS.
Adobe is falling behind in this regard. Please add proper Long Path support.

Adobe Acrobat Reader for Linux
Linux users are in dire need of a PDF reader and editor ever since Adobe discontinued the Adobe Reader (version 9.x) for Linux!
None of the currently available (free or proprietary) PDF readers for Linux has proper support for annotating and commenting PDF files. Filling forms and signing documents is also only rudimentary supported by some of the currently available PDF readers for Linux.
Thus, this is a request to revive Linux support for the latest Adobe Reader as well as the full Adobe Acrobat suite.
