  1. Allow users to edit and save a new default email Subject and body Message when using Send & Track. This is useful for those companies that send PDF files on a regular basis with a particular form letter attached to the file. Currently, we have to cut and paste our message into the default form each time. It would be nice to eliminate this step.

  2. Acrobat pro won't open properly on my iMac running Sierra 10.12.6.
I can see it in the menu bar at the top of the screen, but it won't open any further than that.
I have been able to click on file-open and managed to open a file, but none of the tool functions work.

Apologies for the trouble, can you provide the Acrobat version you are using. Also please provide the following logs:

    “~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Update Helper DC.log”

    “~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Updater DC.log”

    “/Var/log/install.log”

  3. Currently, you can restrict print and save, but cannot restrict Save As. Would like to see that restriction added as well.
    Thanks for your consideration.

  5. Whenever I use acrobat, my mouse seems driven by commads - not mine - to do things in acraobat. Things like scrolling, moving mouse, opening other windows in acrobat. Is it a ghost or is it Adobe?

    Hi,

I am afraid, Acrobat can not be responsible for this abrupt behavior. Please
do a virus scan on your machine. Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks

  6. I need to be able to create a document where the images we include can not be screenshot and the searched for in google image search (thus enabling the person I am sending the PDF to to go to competitor websites who have the same images as us). So either no screenshot allowed or the ability to change the images we have sufficiently that google image will not find it.

  8. Often I'll have 5-10 documents open at once - they are constantly in use. When I close Acrobat they are all closed. and when I re open Acrobat I need to reopen all the documents. It would be nice if it would veryt simply open all of the files open when it was last closed.

  11. Saving a pixel perfect Adobe Illustrator as a pdf doesn't keep the pixel perfect content when previewing in Acrobat. It distorts one line pixels to two pixels in random area. Icon are distorted as well.

  12. Can you provide a "plain English" description on how to create a "batch processing" type Action that can be use on multiple files at once? I have hundreds of files that I need to set open options on and add specific bookmarks to. Trying to do this one at a time is NOT happening. Urgent please!

    Hi victorm28962446,

When you delete any file from portfolio, the portfolio index or File list in portfolio get updated automatically, you just need to save the changes made by you.

    Hope this will help.

    Thansk,

  16. When using the Flatten Transparency Preflight Fixup, transparent images that are flattened are heavily compressed, introducing extreme JPG artifacts and banding in smooth gradients.

This does not match flattening out of Indesign or Illustrator or using the Flattener in the Acrobat Print Production tools. We would expect to get the same results with the Preflight fixup that would be produced with other flattening methods.

See attached with examples of original unflattened art, art flattened with Acrobat Print Production and Acrobat Preflight fixup.

Preflight produces a severely degraded image with visible banding and large artifacts that aren't visible on the other…

  18. I have to put watermark (my logo" on jpg files in a folder and then save new files to another folder; with an action doing:
    - add watermark (my logo)
    - save in a folder (same name+export as jpeg)
Compared to the version 7 (I used it until yesterday) it is much slower and works worse because to avoid having to close hundreds of pdf files (which are created do not know why) I had to add the action "do not save": note that one pdf always remains open to close at the end anyway.
    This is on Windows 10

  19. When entering a named destination (for linking to within a PDF), it's impossible to enter a percentage sign ("%", U+0025). The symbol simply disappears from the name once entered.

It's possible it's being misinterpreted as a formatting specifier in a printf call (or something similar).

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open a document and select "Edit PDF"
    2. Click the bullseye-icon in the left-most pane ("Destinations")
    3. Click "Create New Destination"
    4. Type "Bug%Test" and press Enter
    5. Note the result is "BugTest" instead of the expected "Bug%Test"

Here's an animated screen-capture (which was too large to upload as an attachment): …

  20. I use Acrobat Version 2015.023.20070 on Windows and the functions "Copy Image" and "Save Image as..." - when selecting an image inside a pdf - work correctly in all cases so far, except:

Except for this specific diagram image at the bottom of the pdf slide attached, where the result is just a distorted part of the original image. I can reproduce the results. Note that if I use "Save Image as..." the resulting file is different from what I get when I use "Copy Image" and paste it into MS Word or MS Paint or Photoshop.

    This pdf slide…
