Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
You can still achieve your outcome via the thumbnail panel, just right click on thumbnail panel and select ‘Enlarge page thumbnails’.
Enlarge the thumbnails to your desired size & then proceed with your rearrangement.
    Hope this helps!

  3. In acrobat X you could set the program to always open PDFs with thumbnails open and page view next to it.

Tech support told me the added the "feature" of removing that setting. and replacing it with file-by-file interface settings. That's a loss of functionality.

I get many PDFs from outside sources and I have to integrate pages from them into other documents, for which I need two acrobat windows open with thumbnails showing so I can drag-and-drop pages.
Thus every single one of those new files I have to manually re-open the thumbnails, because my Acrobat has never see…

Sorry fot the inconvenience caused to you.

You can still achieve your desired outcome by following below mentioned steps.
    1) Open a pdf file.
2)Open another file and drag the tab out such that you have two pdfs in two different windows side by side.
    3) From the thumbnail view for both windows.
    4) Now you can drag your desired page from one file to another and integrate pages.

  6. Select Acrobat DC Preferences>General>Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer. Tick the box to choose this option, close preferences, then reopen it to discover Acrobat DC has unchecked it. Must generate hours of laughs around Adobe's watercooler. Using Windows 10.

Much has been written many many forums a fountain of sorrow from other users feeling the same pain. Please, guys. Fix it?

Your response team gives us a non-working solution, telling us to increase the size of thumbnails in Explorer to a point where content can be seen, but those thumbs are already being displayed at maximum size in Windows…

  13. Some PDF documents seem to contain meta data content that's causing Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader to move/resize their program window when such document is opened.

This behaviour is rather annoying and it may lead to accessibility issues.

Please, either stop Acrobat/Reader from moving/resizing their program window when opening a document containing such meta data information, or provide an accessibility option in Preferences to optionally have Acrobat ignore that meta data information.

    Hi,
The issue faced by you is due to the setting of the document set by the user. Please see the following setting in the document :
    1. Open Document→File → Properties → Initial View Tab → uncheck Center Window on screen

Please make sure the setting is not checked in your document to avoid the issue.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  14. Customize Quick Tools resets after every boot on a brand new computer with a new install of Acrobat DC. Why is there NO WAY to export settings for quick import and/or copying to other machines?! This is 2018, not 1995.

  15. Permanent crop tool that actually removes cropped content. Masking content does not work for PDFs that need to be later uploaded online. It botches thumbnail creation and causes files to be unnecessarily large.

You can crop the file by following below steps.
    1) Open a pdf
    2) Click on edit pdf
    3) Select option Crop Pages
    4) Now select the desired area and click enter
    5) Now you can select your desired settings for crop, click ok and save your file.

  16. I have the full version of Adobe Acrobat (DC) and it functions just like Adobe reader. I work with a lot of assembly drawings and I like using Acrobat for annotations, creating lines and notes - I treat it like a lighter version of Illustrator. Since I started using DC, it has been a struggle. I can't find the usual icons that I frequently use in XI and that DC works soooo slow despite that I have a $5k professional computer. Auto-Cad now responds faster than Adobe Acrobat DC. Please bring back Acrobat XI !!!

    I hope the Adobe folks…

  17. I have set scheduled runnig a batch file whcih indexes over 200,000 PDF files every weekend. However index creating has become failed since the week before last and not be able to create .idx files also.

The number of PDF files increases by about 100-200 during a each week, so that I suspect this problem is caused by excess of the max indexable number of PDF files.

    [Questions]
    1. Is there any threshold about the field of indexing?
    2. Is this issue caused by intrinsic bug of Acrobat Pro DC?

    [Environments]
    Windows Server 2012 R2 (64bit)
    Adobe Acrobat Pro DC…

  18. Simply just opening a pdf and attempting to scroll up or down causes the document to lag every time. It's renders the program nearly useless. Since I am paying a month subscription, I expect to not have problems like this.

  19. Adding a feature to delete documents that you no longer need or have downloaded by mistake. I cannot find any way to delete something I no longer want in my Adobe documents. It is kind of frustrating to have to look at the same file to see if I want it and not be able to get rid of it once I see I don't need it. Thanks.
