  3. I receive this error message when I select File -> Compress PDF.

I currently have Adobe Acrobat Standard DC installed on a computer running Windows 10.

I have used this feature to compress numerous other PDFs made from documents that contain text and images. I'm not sure why this feature has found a problem with the images. It would be nice if the error message also included suggestions on how to fix the problem.

  4. I cannot upgrade to a newer OS to see if this corrects my problem. Company IT controlled MacBook, licensed to use Creative Cloud. Acrobat DC is having issues opening simple low to medium resolution PDFs. Will just spin and not respond. Have to force quit and relaunch. I can't pinpoint the cause - happens if I have one file open or 10, happens if I add a comment or click on one, happens if I do nothing and just have a file open while working in other programs. I can't tell if it's because our company's system is Microsoft-based and…

  8. Acrobat Pro DC crashes intermittently at various points during my use of the program. I use it all day long at work, to review claim documents and invoices, and I have to run recognize text, highlight/edit things, and move throughout legal documents by scrolling or searching. It crashes when I try to do literally anything but not every single time. Whenever it crashes, it shows me the crash window twice (window comes up, I click close, it lags and closes the message box, then brings it back up-- every single time, I get the crash notice twice per crash, losing…

Sorry for the issue that you are facing while using Adobe Acrobat.
Could you please share the Crash dump when Acrobat crashes.

Steps to collect the crash dump :

When Acrobat crashes (If you get this error message “Adobe Acrobat DC has stopped working”)
    1. Open Windows Task Manager
    2. Got To Processes, there you can see a process “Adobe Acrobat DC” / Acrobat.exe
    3. Right Click on this process and click “Create Dump File”
    4. Dump file will be created in the Temp folder of user (as specified on the dialog you get after creating dump files).
    5. Save this DMP file on any Cloud Storage and Share the link for that with us.

We will try to analyze your issue on once you share this information with us.

    Regards,
    Arvind

  9. It's 2020. We still do not have Acrobat Pro x64. Our company develops engineering solutions around the world for aerospace and car companies, and the aerospace models are enormously complex--despite all efforts to compress models and use other formats to reduce size, the fact is that Acrobat does not handle these well, often freezing or crashing (even more prevalent since the Windows 10 required switch, as Win10 is so consistently buggy). It's 2020 and there is no excuse that we're still asking for a 64-bit version of Acrobat Pro on Windows. If you've already moved to x64 for Mac, you've…

  10. I use Adobe Acrobat for my own personal use. The share button has a window that pops up every single time I transfer a document from Microsoft Power Point to Adobe. It's a pain in the neck. Please give me the capability of de-activating the Share Feature. Permanently would be good because I never use it, but at least temporarily would be good. I use the paid subscription and have all your programs, so it is updated constantly. Thanks.

  11. BUG - Acrobat will not open a file if the file path is to long, THEN it will not export anything if the file name is to long. As far as I am aware we are no longer in the 90s so this should never be an issue. File name I understand as I personally do not want long names so I fixed it, so apparently there is a limit? What IS that limit...now remove that limit. File path? Was basically External Drive, 5 folders deep. Thats it and got an error saying path to long. That HAS to be…

  14. The presentation and wording used when creating an Action Wizard to export a group of PDF files to TIFFs is inconsistent and confusing compared to how it is done when exporting a single PDF from the main menu. At the main menu 'Export To' is its own selection at the same level as 'Save', however, in the Wizard I have to first select "Save" (twice) to get to the place where I can tell do an "Export To". And to further add to the confusion you have this other TIFF export option named "Export All Images As TIFF" that led…

  15. When running an Action Wizard that saves/exports a group of PDF files as (single) TIFF files, the very first file will have a ".tiff" extension and the rest will be ".tif". This ONLY happens the very first time you run the Wizard. Subsequent runs yields all files with a ".tif" extension. This is repeatable 100% of the time. Again, this applies when exporting the entire PDF file to a single TIFF file, not the feature that exports all images to multiple TIFF files.

  17. It would be fabulous if one could search for text with highlighting applied in Adobe Standard. We had deposition transcripts in PDF format with highlighted designations (certain lines of text had highlighting applied) and were in need of counting the number of highlighted lines. The only solution was to manually count the lines. Having the ability to search for highlighted text would have been very useful. Thanks for reading. Happy Tuesday.

  18. I've been using Adobe Acrobat X Pro in Windows 10 for 2 years now and this is the first time I have encountered this kind of bug/error.

First problem was Acrobat crashed then I can't open it anymore so I re-installed the whole CS6 Design and Web Premium. Afterwards, that's where I saw the texts were highlighted in different colors. If I zoom in, the highlight disappear but when I zoom out, the highlight changes.

    Can someone help me?

  20. Adobe products, like Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC, should NOT download updates when Internet access is established through a metered connection.

When Adobe products download updates in the background through a metered connection, the data limit is reached in a snap and it's not possible to continue working for the rest of the month (depending on contract with the Internet provider) unless new, very expensive Internet allotment is bought.
