  4. When macs left unattended and Acrobat pro running the application increasing consumes CPU time and memory. Coming in the next morning my machine is extremely slow to respond. This is happening on two mac machines I use.. one Sierra 10.12.6 and one High sierra. Both machine regularly use MS office applications and Saffari and Chrome browsers. Both utilize Mcafee. Acrobat will not close unless being forced to do so.

  6. I have several potfolio with simial structure. Each time I open them I want a view with a vertical split in the window and the source folder added to the file deails pane. Not a big deal but adds up to some time. I have not been successful in finding a custom layout which provides this - they seem to be a daunting subject.. So my question is would it be possinle to write a macro I could run on opening the layout and where could I find hints/advice on how to write such a macro.
    Thank you for any…

  7. When first applying a hairline fix in Acrobat (all lines below 0,25 pt to 0,25 pt) and then flattening transparency in Acrobat using the transparency flattener, Acrobat crashes. I see the progress bar going to 100% and then Acrobat crashes without any error.

BUT... if I skip the hairline fix step, then Acrobat flattens the file without problems. So there must be something with the hairline fix that causes the transparency flattener to crash.

Using Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20098 on Mac.

    Example files in attachment.
    File ...WITH... crashes while flattening.
    File ...WITHOUT... flattens fine.

  8. Acrobat pro won't open properly on my iMac running Sierra 10.12.6.
I can see it in the menu bar at the top of the screen, but it won't open any further than that.
I have been able to click on file-open and managed to open a file, but none of the tool functions work.

  10. Installation of Adobe Add-in for Send & Track should not be automatic. It blocks the email signature of the user in Outlook 2013 from appearing when he/she wants to send a PDF by email directly from Adobe or other program which uses the Outlook API

  11. None of your business what my date of birth is. No need to ask it. Then you point a page that apparently explains and it doesn't explain.

Also website is annoying and circular. Makes it difficult to find the right place to contact.

Asking for DOB is a legal requirement for us. Also can you please elaborate on the issues you are facing with the website in particular.

  12. Adobe Acrobat XI Pro mailto link opens IE first and then Outlook 2016. Default program for mailto protocol is set on Outlook 2016 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC opens mailto link on Outlook 2016 only.

Reset Acrobat XI Pro did not resolve the issue.

    Please assist on rectifying this.

Apologies for the trouble, can you provide some sample rich media PDFs with which you are facing this.

  14. Would be great to be able edit the portfolios files layout once saved and move the files around or change the order by dragging them to where you want it rather then by the choices provided I think it was called freeform or something like that. I use to be able to do this with Adobe X, with DC I can't. Really am not liking the latest version of Adobe, wish I could go back to my old version.

  16. Allow users to edit and save a new default email Subject and body Message when using Send & Track. This is useful for those companies that send PDF files on a regular basis with a particular form letter attached to the file. Currently, we have to cut and paste our message into the default form each time. It would be nice to eliminate this step.

  17. I would like to be able to customize what opens in DC like previous versions. For example, I almost always need the comments bar open when I open PDFs. It was save me time and clicks if I could set in Preferences or someplace to always open that bar when opening a PDF> I used to be able to do this i thought in previous versions. I hop eyou can add this tweak.

I am sorry for the inconvenience you faced. Can you elaborate on the issues you are facing with Acrobat DC and allow us to help you here.

  19. Please add the split option to the "tools to add" when creating a new Action Wizard action.

This would allow for automated actions to be created where split top level bookmarks using bookmark names for file names utilized as part of a action, so it wouldn't be necessary to physically go through the setup process of: Organize Pages/Split/Split by: Top level bookmarks/Output Options/Use bookmark names for file names.

    1. Select Full Text Index with Catalog
    2. Select Directories to Include
    3. Input Name of Index
    4. Select Build
    5. "Acrobat DC has Stopped Working"
