1. file name to long

   BUG - Acrobat will not open a file if the file path is to long, THEN it will not export anything if the file name is to long. As far as I am aware we are no longer in the 90s so this should never be an issue. File name I understand as I personally do not want long names so I fixed it, so apparently there is a limit? What IS that limit...now remove that limit. File path? Was basically External Drive, 5 folders deep. Thats it and got an error saying path to long. That HAS to be a bug, no way would that be designed like that, nor have I had issues in the past anyway. Please fix the bug. I am on latest version.

4. Confusing Interface When Exporting to TIFFs with Wizard

   The presentation and wording used when creating an Action Wizard to export a group of PDF files to TIFFs is inconsistent and confusing compared to how it is done when exporting a single PDF from the main menu. At the main menu 'Export To' is its own selection at the same level as 'Save', however, in the Wizard I have to first select "Save" (twice) to get to the place where I can tell do an "Export To". And to further add to the confusion you have this other TIFF export option named "Export All Images As TIFF" that led me to falsely believe that this would save my PDFs as single TIFF files. You should at least have the "Export To" choice at the same level as the "Export All Images ..." choices.

5. Action Wizard Inconsistently Names Exported TIFF Files

   When running an Action Wizard that saves/exports a group of PDF files as (single) TIFF files, the very first file will have a ".tiff" extension and the rest will be ".tif". This ONLY happens the very first time you run the Wizard. Subsequent runs yields all files with a ".tif" extension. This is repeatable 100% of the time. Again, this applies when exporting the entire PDF file to a single TIFF file, not the feature that exports all images to multiple TIFF files.

7. Searching for Highlighted Text

   It would be fabulous if one could search for text with highlighting applied in Adobe Standard. We had deposition transcripts in PDF format with highlighted designations (certain lines of text had highlighting applied) and were in need of counting the number of highlighted lines. The only solution was to manually count the lines. Having the ability to search for highlighted text would have been very useful. Thanks for reading. Happy Tuesday.

8. Adobe Acrobat X Pro texts automatically highlighted with different colors (bug/error?)

   I've been using Adobe Acrobat X Pro in Windows 10 for 2 years now and this is the first time I have encountered this kind of bug/error.

   First problem was Acrobat crashed then I can't open it anymore so I re-installed the whole CS6 Design and Web Premium. Afterwards, that's where I saw the texts were highlighted in different colors. If I zoom in, the highlight disappear but when I zoom out, the highlight changes.

   Can someone help me?

10. Don't automatically download updates through metered Internet connections

    Adobe products, like Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC, should NOT download updates when Internet access is established through a metered connection.

    When Adobe products download updates in the background through a metered connection, the data limit is reached in a snap and it's not possible to continue working for the rest of the month (depending on contract with the Internet provider) unless new, very expensive Internet allotment is bought.

       2A) Two files are selected
       2B) "Compare Text only" is checked
       2C) In settings, either "Autodetect" or "Presentation Decks" is selected. The result is incorrect with either choice.
       2D) In settings, only "Text" is chosen under "Show Report"
       2E) Choose "Compare" and view result

    3. Expected Result
       "Compare Files" would highlight differences between the files and would not highlight things that are the same in the two files.

    4. Observed Result
       When "Compare Files" is used on two files that have small differences but are for the most part the same, text that is not changed is highlighted as a change and some of the changes are not found/highlighted.

    When you claim a domain through the Adobe Enterprise Admin portal, please allow the administrator the option to be able to prevent users from spinning up Adobe Personal ID's to get access to services using an email address that is registered to the domain(s) that you claimed.

16. Errors syncing preferences

    I'm running Acrobat DC as part of Creative Cloud (CC) on several Macs. I use the sync feature to sync Acrobat preferences between all of these computers. I especially rely on the Acrobat preferences being sync'd for things like signatures and custom toolbars arrangement. I recently added two new computers, a MBP and an iMac Pro. When I installed CC and Acrobat DC on the MBP it worked fine. But on the iMac Pro Acrobat preferences sync is broken. The following steps illustrate the problem:

    1) Reboot the system to start from a clean state. Make sure no applications or documents are open. See screenshots 1-3 for specific versions of Creative Cloud and Acrobat Pro DC.

    2) Launch Acrobat Pro DC from Creative Cloud

    3) Open Acrobat preferences, Adobe Online Services section (screenshot 4). Note "Sync preferences across devices and document services" is unchecked

    4) Check "Sync preferences across devices and document services" (screenshot 5)

    5) Click OK to close preferences. Try to reopen preferences to see if the preference change was successful and an error dialog is displayed (screenshot 6). The error message refers to another PDF document but no PDFs are open.

    6) Quit Acrobat and try to uninstall and reinstall from CC (screenshots 7-9)

    7) Reopen Acrobat and try to open preferences. Same error dialog (screenshot 10)

    8) Reboot and reopen Acrobat again. Open preferences. "Sync preferences across devices and document services" option is now grayed out (screenshot 11)

    9) Close preferences and reopen. Now the "Sync preferences across devices and document services" option is checked, although I didn't check it. (screenshot 12)

    10) Quit Acrobat and relaunch. Open preferences. "Sync preferences across devices and document services" option is now grayed out again, but this time its checked (screenshot 13)

    11) Close preferences and try to reopen. Now the error dialog is back (screenshot 14).

    12) Quit and relaunch acrobat and open preferences - same error dialog.

    13) Reboot and reopen Acrobat again. Open preferences. "Sync preferences across devices and document services" option is now unchecked and grayed out again (screenshot 15

    14) Close preferences and reopen. Again, the "Sync preferences across devices and document services" option is checked, although I didn't check it. (Screenshot 16)

    15) Quit Acrobat and relaunch. Open preferences. "Sync preferences across devices and document services" option is now grayed out again, but this time its checked (screenshot 17)

    16) Close preferences and try to reopen. Now the same error dialog from steps 5, 7, and 12 above is back.

    At this point steps 13-16 repeat in a loop. If I uninstall Acrobat the process goes back to step 6 and repeats from there.

    We need to be able to save WCAG compliant, semantic HTML files (e.g. from Firefox) as PDF/UA, but Adobe PDF does not offer this option. Saving as PDF/A does not produce a tagged (UA) file.

    Adobe's pdf print gadget should use the browser accessibility tree, and tag the PDF accordingly.

    PDF/UA has been an ISO standard since 2012. WCAG 2.1 was finalized in 2019, and WCAG 2.x compliance is now mandatory for public sector procurements in North America, the EU and various other jurisdictions.

    What on earth is going on with your accessibility roadmap, Adobe? Apart from Acrobat on Windows, Adobe's PDF tools are not compliant with accessibility standards. Are you waiting for your customers to get sued?

    Can you share the steps by which do you want to create a PDF/UA file?
    Acrobat already has an option to fix tagging issues in the PDF to make it PDF/UA compliant using Tools > Preflight.

20. How about making it possible to bookmark a page. Doesn't work and no help!

    I have a document opened, and would like to add a bookmark. I have the bookmark panel open and I have the left pull down icon f"Options", another icon labelled "Find Current Bookmark", but its grayed out, (no bookmarks yet). What am I missing?
