  2. Adobe fails to open files when a file path & name exceed MAX_PATH. Windows no longer has a hard path character limit if the LongPathsEnabled key is set in the registry. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/fileio/naming-a-file#maximum-path-length-limitation

Modern applications are adopting this new standard with the mentioned file management hooks provided by the OS.

Adobe is falling behind in this regard. Please add proper Long Path support.

  3. For ComparePDF, I hope there will be a way to make this side by side view switch to vertical. So I could be looking at comparisons this way (combined two screenshots below):

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/124625i649C9FB593B67D14/image-size/large?v=1.0&px=999

I'm looking at financials with small font, so each line of text is fairly long.

In Side-By-Side view, zooming out makes the text too small; zooming in makes half of each line out of view.

  4. Currently, embedded links which use the Data URL schema are blocked by Adobe Acrobat even when adjusting security settings. Adobe Acrobat doesn't need to support reading these links as they're simply opened in a browser, but we need Acrobat to stop blocking these links. I've attached an example PDF with an embedded data url.

  5. Rather than re-ordering and re-arranging pdfs within a combined file, I would like to be able to determine the order files are compiled. This can be by file title (alphabetically) or others. Right now when I combine several files into one pdf, they are scrambled out of order and I have to rearrange manually which can be cumbersome for larger compilations.

  7. For the european GPDR rules it would be greate when sending a file with Send and track to disable the download option. So receivers can only view the file from the Adobe cloud but they cannot download it.

  8. Hi,

I have an Action Wizard doing the following:
    1. OCR
    2. Optimize
    3. Save the file
When I run this same Action on two separate Machine against a folder with a lot of PDF files in it, after running for a while, say doing 100 - 300 files, if fails. The DC Student version gives out of memory dialog box error and stops and the Pro DC version gives a dialog box saying "There was an error opening the document...." I will attach the screen shut of the error I get.

  9. This is for Acrobat Pro DC.
We have the option to open 'Files' from OneDrive.
When I navigate to a folder in my OneDrive the files are displayed in what appears to be Name order. I would like a way to Sort those files into other orders. For Example, Date Descending/Ascending.

  11. When macs left unattended and Acrobat pro running the application increasing consumes CPU time and memory. Coming in the next morning my machine is extremely slow to respond. This is happening on two mac machines I use.. one Sierra 10.12.6 and one High sierra. Both machine regularly use MS office applications and Saffari and Chrome browsers. Both utilize Mcafee. Acrobat will not close unless being forced to do so.

  13. Would be great to be able edit the portfolios files layout once saved and move the files around or change the order by dragging them to where you want it rather then by the choices provided I think it was called freeform or something like that. I use to be able to do this with Adobe X, with DC I can't. Really am not liking the latest version of Adobe, wish I could go back to my old version.

    Thanks for raising your concern.

We noted down this issue in our database, will keep you posted.

    Thanks,

  14. Wow. I LOVE your products, but HOLY S&*T was it difficult to get to a point where I could actually "Contact" adobe. As a professional UX designer (sorry for how that must sound...) this UX is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable for a company of your prestige.

Here is my issue, I used to be able to drag .png files into Adobe Acrobat and the software would brilliantly ask me if I wanted to combine these pngs into a single file, "Why yes, Thats exactly what I want! Thank you."

This worked flawlessly for the last year. Now, out of nowhere, the program…

    Hi,
Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

For more information, please refer Release notes of the latest release.

Please try it out and let us know your feedback. Thanks for your patience and support!

    Regards,
    Rachit

  15. We want real smooth scrolling (not just continuous scrolling).

I mean that kind of scroll we get when using a web browser. SMOOTH scrolling! It would also look like dragging text with a "hand tool" in Reader but with a mouse wheel.

Current method makes text jump one or three lines at a time (depending on your mouse settings), which pretty much irritating!

    I appreciate your attention.

  16. I love the Adobe Send & Track plug-in for Outlook 2016 on the PC. I was just informed by someone from Adobe that this feature is not available on Macs. Could you please look into developing this feature for Macs at some point? Thank you.

  17. As an architect or an engineer, we are always managing plans with different scales that have (usually) a graphic scale for reference. The measure tool would be EXTREMELY useful if includes an option to set the scale by selecting two points on an eventual graphic scale included within an existing pdf... this will help to quickly have the pdf in scale and ready to be measured.

    Please, include this feature.
