  1. Affects Windows Office users who use Adobe Acrobat PDF Maker (the Acrobat ribbon) to export PDFs from MS Office apps. Definitely affects US English versions, and may affect other language versions.

With the recent Acrobat update on either Sept. 12 or Oct. 17, 2023 (Acrobat ver. 23.006.xxxxx with PDF Maker 23 and Library 23.6.136), figures anchored in the Word.docx file do not end up in the correct location in the PDF's tag tree.

<Figure> tags are scattered randomly throughout the PDF's Tag Tree, sometimes several pages AFTER their anchor point in the Word.docx. Some <Figure> tags do get placed correctly…

  2. the look and feel with your latest acrobat reader just sucks ... in previous versions i was able to configure my tool-bar

for example add advanced search to the tool bar so i can access it just using one click, now i have click 3 times

same with lots of others usefull functions i am working with on a daily basis

you took them all away for me and millions of other users

what a waste of our time

at least give us the option to decide what we want to have in the toolbar and what not

  3. Where are those buttons hiding now? There should be buttons to take you to the first or last page of a document. Previously you had to turn them on, but I can't find where to turn them on now with this awful UI. Someone mentioned finding a way to put it back to the old UI, how is that done?

  4. Put the ******* toolbars back. Move the Left sidebar BACK onto the right side. Put the right sidebar BACK onto the left.

Stop ******* with things that aren't broken. It makes me hate your products more than I already do. Knock it off, and stop breaking **** that doesn't need to break just so you can keep your miserable jobs.

  5. Adobe constantly crashes and freezes. I pay for a subscription and I am very very close to canceling it. It is ridiculous that I can't even do my job and pay out the *** for something that doesn't work. VERY FRUSTRATED!

  6. The new update is an absolute disaster. You should fire whoever decided to sodomize the menu and annihilate the usability of adobe. I will be forced to abandon this piece of junk if you insist on this insult.

  10. Accessibility remediation of PDFs is chewing up an inordinate amount of labor, and at present, the steps required to yield accessible PDFs from InDesign are at a ridiculously unrefined, fussy, deep-in-the-weeds stage. This seems like an ideal application for AI. PLEASE create an AI tool that can handle all of the picky details of PDF remediation. I'd love to be presented with a simple set of questions to define things like reading order (in Acrobat and InDesign), then just have the AI handle giving me a PDF that passes muster and works well with assistive tech. I want an AI…

  11. The new interface violates ADA laws and makes it impossible to have a user experience for anyone who is old enough to need reading glasses. Plus switching everything around makes it disportionately difficult for those who are left-handed. I cannot believe in the era of inclusion that Adobe would be so insensitive and hinder the productivity of so many users.

  12. I need to avoid the action of mailto links, because ... (for example the wrong app opens, or I just want to copy the email). But it is not possible to copy just the text of the email to be able to use it.
The content menu is missing this option.

  13. Linux is an open-source Operating system. Many of us are using it for Privacy concerns and it can be suitable for our modest Hardware or really suitable for our budget.

we ask you to make your Creative suite available for the operating system and if not. At least make adobe acrobat Available as it can be beneficial for all parties.

and we as Linux users we ask you to rest assured no one of us expects your software to be " free " we will gladly pay for it as others who uses different operating systems then us.

    and if…

  14. My computer downloaded the latest update of Adobe on 4.22.2024 and now when I open a form with fillable fields (that I have used hundreds of times) I cannot modify/change the information contained in the fields. The fields are unlocked for 10 seconds (roughly) in which time you can modify them, like normal, after 10 seconds all fields lock and I cannot modify any information. PLEASE HELP!

  15. Please go back to beter icons in Acrobat.
The icons now are so bad that you have to search for it, it is only for the new icons in the new version. The icons on the upper top bar are good.

Most icons are gone and the icon are spread to the left and right.
It is almost of it is the new Acrobat is made for a tablet or small screen.

But on our 40" WUHD (5120 x 2160) the mouse makes extra miles/kilometers.

The new version look clean, I've tried it for two week but works so bad,…

  16. As it says in the title, cloud-based tagging currently generates a lot of unnecessary HasLanguage flags on generation. This causes a ton of issues in multi-language documents, and oftentimes requires my team to go through and remove all instances of HasLanguage before proceeding with work.

Not once in hundreds of files have I ever seen acceptable application of language in tags (Outside of all english documents, which are filled with completely unnecessary use HasLanguage/English flags on a document already flagged as English in Document Properties).

Please disable the application of Language during Cloud Tagging, thanks.

  17. Hello, I was recently filling out this W4 form on Acrobat, and had an issue where when I filled out the form in high contrast mode all of my text was inputted as white text on a white background (so it was invisible). To replicate the problem, turn on windows high contrast "night theme" (which many low vision and photosensitive users rely on). Then fill out the w4 form and print the first page. You'll find it appears to be blank as the text is white. I saw comments on this that were five years old or more and it's…

  18. I would like to request the addition of Flesch-Kincaid Readability Statistics as a feature in Acrobat. This functionality is critical for ensuring that documents, especially those used in healthcare communications, meet specific readability standards such as a sixth-grade reading level. The Flesch-Kincaid Readability Tests are widely recognized and used for verifying that content is accessible and comprehensible to a broader audience. Including this feature would greatly enhance the utility of Acrobat for users who need to adhere to strict communication guidelines. It would also streamline the workflow, eliminating the need to rely on third-party tools for readability analysis.

  19. Visual accessibility for people with less than optimal vision: I am 82 years old and the font size for the Menu icon is really small. Why not make it a little larger? Everything else on the page is larger. In fact, if everything were in a slightly larger font size, it would be a blessing too!

  20. The dialog to configure a digital signature currently requires the use of a mouse. If the steps cannot be completed with a keyboard alone, the interface is not accessible.

    Please fix this.
