  2. Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac CRASHES and cannot find moved or renamed PDF files, or files with highlighted text (yellow fluorescent marker)
     
    These issues have been around forever. I reported this on 15th September2011:

  3. Distiller XI Pro 11.0.20 (28/03/2017), and many previous versions, crash “… /Font resourceforall”. Try the following code:

    %!PS
    (*) {

    } 65535 string /Font resourceforall

    crashes with:

    %%[ Error: invalidaccess; OffendingCommand: def ]%%

    without the “{…} stopped” construct it crashes with:

    NanumPen
    %%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: findfont; ErrorInfo: CharOffsets –
    and some non-ASCII characters.

    This problem started in about 2013, after an ‘upgrade’ to the Mac OS somehow altered something about fonts. Please could Distiller’s font handling be improved, even if only to honour ‘stopped’.

  4. I'm trying to delete pages from a multi page document in Docman (PCTi Solutions) with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I am not getting the delete option unless I check the full document out onto my desktop, edit it there, drop it back into Docman and delete the original. I want to amend the original not delete it. What an I missing??

    This looks like an issue with Docman. Did you try getting in touch with their support team?
    If they need any help from Adobe in adding some functionality, they can contact us through corporate channels.

  5. If you have the "new" DC Reader...get rid of it.
    it's slow.
    it's choppy.
    The phrase "Not Responding" shows up more than a taxi in New York City.
    This has got to be the crappiest Adobe product I've ever had the displeasure of working with.
    I've told my company's IT department to start looking for something else.
    Acrobat Reader DC is pure American ****.

    I suggest you update your Reader to the latest version and if you still face any issues please elaborated them and allow us to help you.

  6. If I am working for several hours in acrobat dc, the organize feature will show only blank pages... no content. I have to close the program and restart it to view the images. It will work for about 20-30 minutes and then do the same thing. UGH.

    Hi

    Sorry for such a delayed response on this and for the trouble you were going through.
    I tried using the tool with several files and could not see the issue.
    Can you please try upgrading your Acrobat to the latest version and see if that resolves the issue for you.

    If not, can you please share the file(s) where this happens.
    This would help us in investigating the issue faster.

  7. According to the documentation provided by Adobe and Brother the printer should be able to switch trays and print the image on the correct size paper. The tray switching works but despite numerous hours on the phone with Apple and Brother the document prints as if it's on letter when it should be on legal. I've followed the directions provided by Adobe but the documents do not print correctly,

  8. Adobe cc fails to sign in at startup, but when it is signed in opening an adobe dc attachment still fails to sign in to use signature.

    Windows 10 pro (64 bit) running on a dell xps 15" 4k screen 2017 laptop.

    We apologise for the issue you are facing. Are you still having this issue?

    After you have signed-in in CC and launch Acrobat, you need to wait for a few seconds before the signing-in process completes in Acrobat.

  9. When I try to save extracted parts of a PDF "as separate files" under "Organize Pages", the only places I'm allowed to access are native storage units. The network based folder my boss and I share is inaccessible and I'm unable to save within folders created for specific clients. I feel it's possible to extend accessibility to any potential storage spot on the computer, right? I included a picture of the screen I'm given when extracting.

  10. After installing a printer while Adobe Acrobat and/or Reader is already open and has a PDF open, attempting to print to it prints to a different printer, even though the new printer appears in the list. Acrobat/Reader must be closed and reopened in order to print to the new printer.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Open Acrobat or Reader.
    2) Open a PDF
    3) Install a new printer
    4) Attempt to print the PDF to the newly installed printer (it appears in the list of printers)
    5) The PDF prints to a different printer.

    Environment: Windows 7 64-bit. Acrobat version 11…

    2. Do you want an option to remove watermarks from an un-signed PDF document or from a signed PDF?
    3. Do you want to remove watermarks from PDFs you created or the documents you have received from others?

  13. Even after I remove the hidden text layer in a PDF, I'm still not able to run an OCR with "ClearScan" (i.e. "Editable Text and Images"). It's strange because the text layer appears to be gone, yet running OCR produces the error "Acrobat could not perform recognition because: page contains renderable text."

  14. I cannot print my certificates from Acrobat now. I have to move to word to print each page with a boarder. This started with the update. I print many certs a day and this takes far more time and changes the font. If it does not have a boarder I can print. This is frustrating and a waste of time. I did not have this problem before.

    Hi Tracy,

    Sorry for inconvenience caused, we have fixed few print issue in recent patch (19.008.20074). Please check your Acrobat is updated. You can update by opening the application (Acrobat/Reader) and going to Help > Check for Updates.
    If you still face the issue, please share few detail to narrow down the issue:
    1. What error are you getting while printing? Is some data is missing from Print output.
    2. What is the printer/Driver you are using?
    3. What kind of boarder does the file contain? If possible please share/send sample file on mrraj@adobe.com

  15. There is a new problem with the toolbar, whereby page controls that were previously present are now hidden. The file tools occupy the same amount of space regardless of how many commands are contained within that space. Please fix this bug. Commands like 'fit one full page to a window' are no longer visible unless you un-dock the page controls from the toolbar.

  16. As you are well aware, the users of Adobe Acrobat (or similar products) usually apply ‘Highlight Text’ to highlight or summarize parts of the text or the book that they are reading in PDF format.

    After finishing to read the text, if the user can have the ability to extract (in one step) all the highlighted parts in the format of a MS Word or other PDF file; this can be very handy and helpful; since this way the user can easily make an outlined summary of the read text or book ready for future references.

  17. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC and MadCap Flare 2018 r2 on a Windows 10 operating system.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Build a PDF in Flare.
    2. Open the PDF from inside Flare.
    3. Double-click on a different PDF in Windows Explorer.

    Expected result: Second PDF opens.
    Actual result: Second PDF does not open. The error message that shows up sometime later says: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.

    MadCap support has been unable to resolve the issue.

  18. "Duplicate across pages" places the button (the element I want to duplicate) complete out of the page in all other pages. I am using the very latest version of Acrobat. It worked perfectly fine before the update.

  19. Acrobat DC. since the update on 10.23.18, will not open files, making it rather useless. I have tried uninstall/reinstall; this will get one file opened one time. On a second launch, it again will not open any file. Am I going to have to uninstall/reinstall EVERY time I want to open a file?
