  1. When I have the Page Thumbnails sidebar open and I switch between different open PDFs Acrobat refreshes the whole thing, including all the pages which can be slow and locks-up the whole UI. Why can't it cache the thumbnails when I switch between documents? It becomes very painful if I have a long PDF with 100+ pages in.

  6. I have a pdf document, password protected, works fine. Password is fine, document opens on my desktop mac or any operating system. However, when I upload the document to our website: japanstudy.earlham.edu (Enrollment Procedures - 2018-19 Handbook), I receive this error message. Attached is the screenshot of the error. I cannot fix this, no matter if I change the password or try a variety of settings.

You can use the following steps to
    > Right Click on the Tools bar and select "Customize Quick Tools.
    >Navigate to “Prepare Form” > More Form Options
    > Click on the “Add to toolbar” button.
    > Click Save.

You should now have the “Merge Data into Spreadsheet” as a drop down options now.

    I hope this helps

  9. So I bought this damned thing to edit a pdf. Is it editing the pdf? No. Can I cut? No. The cut command is greyed out. FFS.

$276 right down the drain. Thanks so much, Adobe.

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with .You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

Also, can you “Check for Updates” and re-test the issue with latest version.

    Hi Kevin,

I checked your subscription status and it seems normal at our end. And I see you have two machines activate with this Adobe ID. Would you let us know the current status at your end?

    Thanks,

    Hi Toda,

You can use “Create Multiple Files” option in Create PDF Tool in Acrobat for creating individual PDF for each file in a folder.

    Follow these steps:
    1. Make sure you have latest version of Acrobat
    2. Click on “Tools” tab
    3. Click on “Create PDF” icon. It’s usually the first one.
    4. Select “Multiple Files” and check “Create Multiple PDF Files”
    5. Click “Next”
    6. Click on “Add Files” drop down and select “Add Folder”
    7. Browse to your input files and Click “OK”
    8. Select destination folder and Click “OK”

Please let us know if this solves your issue.

    Regards,
    Ritesh

There is no concept of a table in a PDF file.
If you want dynamic table, you can add text form fields that are organized in a grid that resembles a table, but you would have to do this manually.
If you want to insert a static table, the best way to do this is to go back to the original application what was used to create this document (e.g. MS Word, InDesign …)

Let us know if it resolves your issue.

    Regards,
    Gaurav

  15. Every pdf document I send to my MFD (Canon) does not automatically print. It sends a message to pick paper size because it's a custom size. However, it is NEVER a custom size, it's always 8-1/2 x 11. All the settings in my document say to print to 8-1/2 x 11, I've tried shrink and fit and still, I keep getting the message at the printer and have to choose 8-1/2 x 11. Really annoying.

  18. Currently have Adobe Acrobat installed on my university machine and am using Word 2013 to compile my thesis chapters and figures (.emf and .png files). However when I either use the ‘create pdf’ ribbon option using press quality settings (adjusted to a4 paper size) I end up with a .pdf with 8.5 x 11 in size. This happens also when printing via Adobe PDF option through word.
