  2. Our county's superior court system requires that we e-file all documents into the court; upon filing a document with the system ("LINX"), LINX timestamps it.

    This doesn't work with a certified e-signed document, because Adobe locks the document from future editing. If I try to e-file a certified copy, LINX immediately rejects the file, because of course LINX can't timestamp it.

    I'm forced to print out the file, physically scan it again, and e-file the document that I had e-signed in the first place! Am I missing a checkbox somewhere that I can check, to force Adobe to allow editing…

    Thanks for writing to us.

    From what I understand, you require your PDF to be digitally signed again, after you have shared it after certifying and digitally signing by your signature? Can you please try these steps and see if this is what you require:

    1. Open PDF in Acrobat DC. From Tools→ select ‘Prepare form’ app and click Start. Add (at least) 2 signature fields from top toolbar and save the document
    2. Right click on the first signature field and select ‘Certify with visible signature’. In the Certify Document dialog that comes up, under ‘Permitted Actions After Certifying’, select ‘Form fill-in and digital signatures’
    3. Now sign the document by adding your signature
    4. Send the document to LINX now

  4. When I send emails with PDF's as attachments, the PDF's are not showing up in the email at the recipient's end. Word and XL doc's , etc. work just fine... WTF?!

    I am not sure if this is an Acrobat issue. But still, are you facing this issue with any particular email client?

  5. I'm trying to delete pages from a multi page document in Docman (PCTi Solutions) with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I am not getting the delete option unless I check the full document out onto my desktop, edit it there, drop it back into Docman and delete the original. I want to amend the original not delete it. What an I missing??

    This looks like an issue with Docman. Did you try getting in touch with their support team?
    If they need any help from Adobe in adding some functionality, they can contact us through corporate channels.

  7. If you have the "new" DC Reader...get rid of it.
    it's slow.
    it's choppy.
    The phrase "Not Responding" shows up more than a taxi in New York City.
    This has got to be the crappiest Adobe product I've ever had the displeasure of working with.
    I've told my company's IT department to start looking for something else.
    Acrobat Reader DC is pure American ****.

  10. According to the documentation provided by Adobe and Brother the printer should be able to switch trays and print the image on the correct size paper. The tray switching works but despite numerous hours on the phone with Apple and Brother the document prints as if it's on letter when it should be on legal. I've followed the directions provided by Adobe but the documents do not print correctly,

  11. After installing a printer while Adobe Acrobat and/or Reader is already open and has a PDF open, attempting to print to it prints to a different printer, even though the new printer appears in the list. Acrobat/Reader must be closed and reopened in order to print to the new printer.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Open Acrobat or Reader.
    2) Open a PDF
    3) Install a new printer
    4) Attempt to print the PDF to the newly installed printer (it appears in the list of printers)
    5) The PDF prints to a different printer.

    Environment: Windows 7 64-bit. Acrobat version 11…

  12. I know that we need to keep the straight line on until I am finished with it instead of having to click on it every time I need to use it. I would like my three tier task bar back. Having to constantly click on the additional menu takes valuable time away from my project. Editing may be better but since I use Adobe to facilitate my bidding process, adding steps only hampers progress.     1. Are you working in Acrobat/Reader?
    2. Do you want an option to remove watermarks from an un-signed PDF document or from a signed PDF?
    3. Do you want to remove watermarks from PDFs you created or the documents you have received from others?

    We are looking into this problem. Are you getting an error while converting from PDF to docx (no docx created?), or the file content in docx file after exporting from PDF is incorrect? Please elaborate on the exact issue you are facing.

  15. Adobe Sign adds a blank page after every page on imported Google Documents. I didn't find Adobe Sign as an option so I filed this under Acrobat. When we save the document to Word docx the problem does not occur.

  17. I've created an Action Wizard that does the following:
    -Runs Preflight to convert to PDF/A-1a
    -Saves to a Local Folder, appending "_A-1a" to the end of the file name.

    That's it. I can run this Action Wizard on individual PDFs no problem. But when I use the "Add Files..." option to run this wizard on multiple files, the Action Wizard begins, but crashes Acrobat after the first file. This has been the case for the last few updates to Acrobat DC (15.23.20056.213124), but did used to work with Acrobat DC and previous versions of Acrobat. This is on macOS 10.12.3.

  18. I've just noticed that in the Combine Files panel, the thumbnails of the files I pull in are squished out of proportion. The thumbnails of the finished file (after I click "Combine") are just fine though - no issues with those. But the squished thumbs are very strange.
