  1. The included images are screen shots of 2 PDFs we are working with.
Both are in the same format with different data & overall structure remains the same.
“Aa” doc was converted as in the same format & structure of the PDF itself,
but “B” doc was converted with incorrect sequence of data lines.
To be precise ,in “B” doc the row after “issue date”, With “Buyer: xxxxxxx Vendor:tttttt Manufac**** Agent:****”
Came below the Line:02 row box, after the conversion of doc from pdf to excel.

“Aa-Converted” and “B-convereted” are the converted excel files of Aa & B correspondingly.

  2. This is about both editing and exporting PDFs.
The attached PDF has an explicit explanation of the issues + screenshots. Text from the attached file goes right here.

I’ve got Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release Version 2015.006.30355.

    On Web page https://www.zm.gov.lv/mezi/statiskas-lapas/nozares-informacija/buklets-meza-nozare-latvija-?nid=1088#jump
..there is a link to a PDF file "Latvia's Forests During 20 Years of Independence" 2010, https://www.zm.gov.lv/public/ck/files/ZM/mezhi/buklets/MN_20_EN.pdf
The PDF file seems to be a nicely composed PDF with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2).
The font used, Museo Slab is a publicly available font, I bet it should not have any major issues.

In the said file, page 47 there…

  3. Rasterise all vectors option in the export PDF dialogue window.

I use lots of detailed vector files in my layouts and when producing PDF's for approval this can be an issue as the files sizes can be too big to send back and forth over email. There are numerous work arounds but none really give a seamless document flow that should happen. Making a JPEG of my files and placing those instead of eps or ai files can be a headache also.

  5. If you open those files in Acrobat, and use the snapshot feature, then "control-a" to select everything, you will see differences in each one. In each case, on the right side, the app selects more than it should be selecting. For example, the sample with inset and color has a small band of white on the right side that is included in the selection that should not be. This was a bug in Acrobat 9. I was hoping to find this problem fixed in this version, but it is not. I only discovered this recently, because I started adding background…

  6. Within the Adobe Admin Console an administrator does not have the capability to export user data identifying which product is assigned to the user. To run the reports you have to drill to every product and export the data. I asked for the report from tech support and they said the feature I am requesting is not available but to request to it added as a feature. On the feature wish form drop list it does not specify Admin functions so I chose first Adobe product on the list. The function to export all user data to understand the products…

  7. We often receive multi-page PDFs of publications initially created in InDesign with a request for updates. In order to make these updates flexibly, we would have to recreate the document indesign and then make the updates.

I seams reasonable to ask Adobe, to create a functionality, where one can convert or export PDF (generated from InDesign document) to .indd InDesign file format.

    1. Open a PDF document with Arabic content.

    2. This PDF was generated from InDesign CC2017. Arabic fonts used is a good True Type and OpenType fonts. Macintosh 10.11.2 / Acrobat DC Build: 15.23.20056.213124

    3. When exporting to MS Office format, we expect to have a decent conversion as we see with PDFs that has English content.

    4. I opened resulted Word document in MS. Word on Windows, Text Edit on Mac, Apple Preview. The result varies, but generally Arabic text doesn't convert properly, most words scrambled and fragmented.

  8. Steps to Reproduce:
    1. open acrobat DC
    2. create a PDF from file.
    3. save file
    4. check the original file to see if it has retained it's format and is properly openable.

    Environment:
    OS: Windows 10
    CPU: Intel i5 6600k @4.3GHz
    RAM: 16gb(2x8gb) G-skill Trident-z @3000MHz
    Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 gaming 5

    Acrobat Version: 2015.023.20070

    Expected result:
Doing this should bring up a new save dialogue, or the save-as dialogue technically. Then once it is saved it should switch to that file.

    Observed Result:
Doing this overwrote the original file w/o providing a save dialogue.

    I have attached the ruined…
