  2. It would be very helpful to have a binder that is composed of links to documents, so that when the binder is opened it always opens the most recent version of that document. An example would be a binder of new hire handouts.

  6. Bookmarks are wrapped incorrectly when resizing the bookmarks pane.
    Expected behaviour:
Reducing the bookmarks pane's width should wrap bookmarks which are too long.
    Actual behaviour:
Bookmarks are wrapped in two steps as the pane is being resized.
Firstly, a new line is created, but the bookmark text is not wrapped around.
Then, if you reduce the width even further, the actual wrap is done.

  11. I use Excel with macros, and I use Excel binary spreadsheets to help reduce the size of my PDF. Your newest versions (since August 2017) of Adobe Acrobat Pro, do not support these formats. I can manually go into the registry keys and add them so the links in the PDF will open those files, however, this should be a regular feature! Add .xlsb and .xlsm to your registry keys!

  12. Acrobat Pro used to be one of my favourite apps. Now it is slow and unwieldy. It grinds on RAM. I absolutely hate the new user interface. I loved it 1x version back. With all the unnecessary additions this behemoth is an ugly horrendous brute. Please just bring the last interface back!!!

  13. Adobe DC Pro stopped converting internal links (links from one worksheet to another within an Excel workbook) either in late December or early January 2018. However, links to external web locations such as http://www.cnn.com in Excel continue to work once the file is converted to Adobe PDF. I recommend you test that issue on your own computer. Open an Excel file with two tabs; Sheet1 and Sheet2. Create a hyperlink from Sheet1 to Sheet2 and a hyperlink from Sheet2 to Sheet1 and then convert the Excel file to Adobe Acrobat using the Acrobat Menu in Excel. You will realize that…

  14. why is acrobat so slow? Is my Adobe account scanning every word of every page I'm trying to open? these are just pdfs, why are they crashing my system? and YES it's the newest version and YES my system should be more than able to handle it. The problem is this company has gone from creating (or buying) good software to just making malware to bug up their products and shake as much cash as possible from the users

  15. Create | PDF from Scanner (Canoscan 9000) | in 'or use predefined scan setting' select 'Black and white document'.

When that setting is selected, Acrobat crashes immediately, without message, every time.

only applies to predetermined setting as modifying default to B&W from the gear does not cause crash

version is 2018.011.20038 / OS: Win 10 Home 64 bit

  17. I want PDFs to open in "Two-Up, Fit Page" by default, except when there's only 1 page in the doc, in which I want the single page to appear centered instead of on the far left and zoomed to fit a non-existent 2nd page. There should be an option for this.

  18. When importing pages from other PDF's, any language identifiers associated with the individual accessibility tags are not imported. This has been a long-standing issues across all Acrobat version.
Attached are two files: English.pdf and Spanish.pdf, each containing a single <P> tag whose languages have been set to "English" and "Spanish" respectively. If you merge the two files by selecting both (in Windows explorer), right-clicking, and choosing "Combine in Acrobat", the resulting file will not have any language identifiers associated with the merged tags. The same outcome happens if, from within Acrobat, you go to page view and select insert pages…

  20. It would be great if Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has a Force Quit button that could be accessed when it frequently crashes on a Mac. This would save me lots of time either:

    • going into the apple menu and selecting Force Quit and then selecting Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and all of the options and then restarting Acrobat; OR

    • creating a script to kill Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and then restart it.

The other option is to stop Adobe Acrobat Pro DC from crashing on a Mac.
