Add Adobe Documents as a folder within Creative Cloud Sync to Local Computer
The purpose of this is to allow you to search through PDF files that have been scanned via Adobe Scan on your laptop computer by means of Mac OS spotlight or other searching programs on your local computer. Currently it is cumbersome to search through multiple PDFs that have been added to your Adobe Documents Cloud Folder. You can only search using Adobe DC (because they are only in the cloud unless you copy each one to a local folder individually). It would also make it significantly easier to create parent folders for Topics of documents within the cloud folder…

Acrobat crashes after transparency flattening
When first applying a hairline fix in Acrobat (all lines below 0,25 pt to 0,25 pt) and then flattening transparency in Acrobat using the transparency flattener, Acrobat crashes. I see the progress bar going to 100% and then Acrobat crashes without any error.
BUT... if I skip the hairline fix step, then Acrobat flattens the file without problems. So there must be something with the hairline fix that causes the transparency flattener to crash.
Using Acrobat Pro DC 2017.012.20098 on Mac.
Example files in attachment.
File ...WITH... crashes while flattening.
File ...WITHOUT... flattens fine.2 votesWe apologise for the issue you are facing. Yes, the crash is reproducible. We will investigate this and revert back.
Thanks,

Compare Documents function not catching noticeable document changes
Bug report: Acrobat Pro Compare documents is missing noticeable changes from the old document to new document using the "Reports, spreadsheets, magazine layouts" option.
Can be reproduced by using the Compare Documents feature and comparing an older document to a newer document.
Version: 2015 Release (Classic) 2015.006.30355
OS: Windows 10, Windows 7, Server 2012R2Expected Result: Compare documents feature should catch noticeable changes in the document from the old document to new document.
I attached a screenshot of an area missed by the compare feature (highlighted in red circle), if needed I can provide the 2 documents used to compare.…

We have escalated the issue to our engineering team. We are looking into the issue and will update you.

I used to be able to clean up my scanned documents by clicking the "spots" and deleting. Now I am unable to do this.
I was able to do this in the past. The most recent update must have removed the ability. I would select the "spot" or the edge of the page where the document feeder skewed the page in the scanner, then hit delete. Now I am unable to do this. I want to be able to present clean documents.
5 votesIf I am not wrong you are using edit functionality of Acrobat. There you can select the edge or small bounding ox and delete it if it is not required.
If not please use Edit tool.If you are facing any issue on any file please share the files.
Thanks.

How to show CSS gradient background from HTML to PDF using Acrobat?
We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.
It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.
However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.
We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.
The gradient background are written in CSS.
Could we have a solution?
Tks.

Running Sierra 10.12.6. Acrobat pro won't open properly.
Acrobat pro won't open properly on my iMac running Sierra 10.12.6.
I can see it in the menu bar at the top of the screen, but it won't open any further than that.
I have been able to click on file-open and managed to open a file, but none of the tool functions work.1 voteApologies for the trouble, can you provide the Acrobat version you are using. Also please provide the following logs:
“~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Update Helper DC.log”

Adobe Send & Track Add-in for Outlook stops email signature coming through when sending PDFs
Installation of Adobe Add-in for Send & Track should not be automatic. It blocks the email signature of the user in Outlook 2013 from appearing when he/she wants to send a PDF by email directly from Adobe or other program which uses the Outlook API

Some stamps disappear when you apply redactions
Occasionally after defining text to be redacted and assigning a stamp notation beside it, when you apply the redaction some of the stamps disappear. It is not consistent and very random. It's not all the same stamp or in the same place on the page. They just don't all make it to the redacted version. Help!

Undocumented feature
Despite the submitForm page in the JavaScript API not mentioning the possibility of using a UNC, based on the behaviour of Acrobat Distribution Wizard I decided to test using a UNC instead of a URL by including the following line in my script associated to the MouseUp event of my custom submit button:
this.submitForm({cURL:"//SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});
To my satisfaction, everything worked as I suspected.
The following line also worked:
this.submitForm({cURL:"smb://SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});
So this seems like an undocumented feature btw pretty useful for small businesses which in general outsource their web services but mantain an onsite file server.

Adobe Acrobat Pro bug - extracting text with ligatures
This is about both editing and exporting PDFs.
The attached PDF has an explicit explanation of the issues + screenshots. Text from the attached file goes right here.I’ve got Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Release Version 2015.006.30355.
On Web page https://www.zm.gov.lv/mezi/statiskas-lapas/nozares-informacija/buklets-meza-nozare-latvija-?nid=1088#jump
..there is a link to a PDF file "Latvia's Forests During 20 Years of Independence" 2010, https://www.zm.gov.lv/public/ck/files/ZM/mezhi/buklets/MN_20_EN.pdf
The PDF file seems to be a nicely composed PDF with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2).
The font used, Museo Slab is a publicly available font, I bet it should not have any major issues. In the said file, page 47 there…

Machine Learning Form Analysis
After OCR recognition provide a facility not just for correcting the text, but for meta-data labeling of fields and regions. This data would make machine-learned document management much more effective.
For example, the automated extraction of data from Insurance company EOBs. You might argue, of course, that this is not in Adobe's balliwick, but I'd argue that this is a natural addition to your commenting tools.5 votesThanks for reporting your concern.
For the first question, ability to correct OCRed text. This functionality is already there. Go to Tools> Enhance scan> Recognize text> Correct Recognize textFor the 2nd query I will raise a feature request for you. We will look into this and inform you if there is nay update.
Thanks.

Nothing to do with your product. This is a complaint about your website.
None of your business what my date of birth is. No need to ask it. Then you point a page that apparently explains and it doesn't explain.
Also website is annoying and circular. Makes it difficult to find the right place to contact.
7 votesAsking for DOB is a legal requirement for us. Also can you please elaborate on the issues you are facing with the website in particular.

Please provide a Preference to condense the Comments panel
I often deal with PDFs with hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of edits. The Comments panel in Acrobat DC includes way too much blank space, including a title line ("Strikethrough Text", "Highlighted Text", etc.) and needlessly provides a default "Type your reply..." area for every comment. This isn't Facebook (meaning, replies aren't always necessary). Please provide preferences that allow comments to appear in more compact form, as they did with Acrobat X or Acrobat 11.
