  1. When combining multiple PDF files into a single document with bookmarks, I want to be able to set the default bookmark properties. For example, I may want all bookmarks to include the ACTION: Go to a page view, and ZOOM LEVEL: Fit Page. Currently, I have to change the properties of each bookmark separately.

    Hi,

We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (20.012.20041) is Live now and this takes care of this Feature Request

For more Info refer here : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html

The Set Default Bookmark Zoom Level menu item is now added to the PDF bookmark options. While creating a new bookmark, you can easily use this option to set the default zoom level. By default, the Inherit Zoom option is selected.

Also, Acrobat now provides an option in the bookmark properties to retain the destination page number when you adjust the zoom level of multiple bookmarks.

Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  3. when adding another file it goes to the end . In older versions of Acrobat Pro you could sort & re-arrange Portfolio files
tried that workaround where you create a new column in view /portfolio details & edit the values to get the files in the proper order sequence .. bit that is a bit of a kludge & really doesn`t affect the printing order of individual Portfolio files or default view when opening

    version 2017.011.30065 Win 7 32 bit & win 10 64 bit

    Hi

You can now drag and drop files to re-arrange them in a portfolio. You can also create a folder and add files in it via drag & drop in the latest version of Acrobat DC.
I will close this case. Please reopen another thread if you feel you issue still hasn’t been addressed.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  5. Currently, even though an MS Word document may have a Title property, when the PDF is created the Acrobat default initial view is to the document file name rather than the PDF's title properties. Since this doesn't pass the accessibility check it requires that the setting be changed on each PDF. I would like to see it either default to the Title property, or provide the option in the PDF Maker plug-in for MS Word.

    Hi

This feature has now been enabled in Acrobat Pro DC with the October update but it is by default turned Off.
In order to enable it, you would need to create a Reg_Dword “4255031” and set it to 1 at the following location:

    \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureState

Please note: This will work for only PDFs from Word/Excel which have been created using Acrobat post setting this registry and won’t work for older PDFs.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  8. In Acrobat X one could add view columns, such as "to" and "folder" to a PDF Portfolio of emails, and save the portfolio to keep the added columns. When the portfolio was opened again the added view columns would still be there. Please add this feature to Acrobat Pro DC.

  10. Exporting Word documents to PDF using Acrobat PDFMaker produces a PDF document with missing characters.

This only occurs with some fonts, such as Palatino Linotype and Book Antiqua.

    Environment: Windows 10 1909 (18363.476) French, Microsoft Word 1910 (Build 12130.20390 Microsoft Store), Acrobat DC 2019-021-20056, Convert2AdobePDF 19.21.20047.354104, Adobe PDF Library 19.21.79.

    Steps to reproduce the issue:

    • Type "L'HOMME" in a Word document, font is Palatino Linotyoe,
    • Export said Word document with PDFMaker, with all fonts embedded.

Expected result: PDF document displays "L'HOMME"

Observed result: PDF document displays "L'OMME"

  11. When I drag an excel file to the Adobe dock icon or attempt to create a PDF in Acrobat I get an error of a duplicate file in the temp folder.

I've tried clearing out the temp folder. Also, I've reinstalled Acrobat and Microsoft office. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  13. Need a new layout for Adobe Portfolio Documents. In Adobe Pro XI there was a grid view layout that was much easier to use and manipulate documents within the portfolio. A new version of a product should have new and better features not less. Why would you not be able to edit the order of documents in a portfolio by dragging and dropping. What you used to be able to accomplish in 2 steps takes about 5.

  15. Following a recent upgrade to DC from XI, I have an issue with images in .docx files not being rendered by PDFMaker.

Attached is a sample source file together with output from the Adobe PDF driver and from PDFMaker.

The issue may be triggered by the insertion format of the image: the workaround is copy it out to an image editor then paste back as DIB.

Note that this is definitely a regression from the XI PDFMaker which performed fine on the same files only a couple of months ago.

PS Why on earth does PDFMaker not use the same…
