  1. If you go into a saved document and change something you cannot save it you have to save it as a completely separate document. i.e. I edit one line to be italicized and hit save and I get a pop up error that states, "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.

    1) I am the only user
    2) I created the .pdf document yesterday and did NOT make it read-only.

  2. pdf documents not opening properly, with blank pages. It is worse if I try and scroll through the article soon after opening it. It will also loose text from the after a time not reading the document. This may be after the computer has been put to 'sleep' for a period (even a few minutes). It reports the error message 'Insufficient data for an image.' The new version is MUCH worse that previous versions. Please sort it out Adobe.

  3. Acrobat DC keeps crashing. I don't know if the crashes are being reported back to Adobe or not. It is Hanging/Crashing on SaveAs and during editing.

    I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
    Can you share with us the acrobat version and the operating system you are using
    Also some sample PDFs with which you are facing this issue.

  4. Whenever opening pdf file, Acrobar Pro DC always shows a window titled as 'content preparation progress". This takes too long and blocks file content & makes hard to read file content.
    Sometimes several minutes, sometimes forever!
    This needs to be improved.

  5. Your new version (2023.003) is just TERRIBLE. :

    1) WHY change something that was working well before, and that everyone just KNEW how to use? WHY? What is the purpose of changing the interface just for the change. It is TERRIBLE.

    2) It is also very BUGGY, and freezes constantly by simply moving the window, opening documents, closing them, etc. Windows 10 22H2 latest patches, 16GB RAM on i7. WHY purposefully make our lives harder?

  6. Steps to reproduce the issue: Open Acrobat and move window from one screen to another.
    Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.) Mac OS 10.14.1, 2018 MacBook Pro
    Expected result: Should not crash
    Observed result: Crashes consistently

    Please update you acrobat to the latest version on Mac and try to reproduce the scenario.

    Please also specify the Acrobat version you are using where this issue is occurring. You will find the version info in Help→About Adobe Acrobat.

  8. I would like to add tags to PDF files that are inside of a Windows folder and be able to filter by tags.
    At the moment, the naming convention organises the PDF files in an order that is not beneficial for us.
    Can we add tags to PDF files and filter inside of a Windows folder?

  9. if I open an existing PDF and make changes it will not save, if I create a new PDF it will not save. I have tried save, and save as neither work. and I need this to work for my job.

  11. The new update does not allow custom colours for highlighting, clicked on one of their default colours and lost my original highlight colour forever... thanks Adobe

  13. Since the update approximately 2-weeks ago, Adobe Acrobat Standard crashes (with a "not responding") at just opening a document about 5-times a day.

  14. When a file is shared using a link in Acrobat Pro DC, the page that opens tries to open the file. The problem with this is that some of the features don't work properly on this page (such as portfolios and initial views within portfolios). Please make the download button more prominent so that user can open the file in the Acrobat software easier.

  15. What happened to the +/- zoom function? I need the ability to manually input the % of a zoom when comparing files; so that I am comparing "apples" to "apples" when it comes to the percentage size the the zooms. Why does it seem that every new version of Acrobat worse than the previous version?

    Could you be more specific? Where do you expect a download button? Also, what do you mean by ‘page address downloaded’?

  17. Unable to "save-as," export, or e-sign a PDF document.

    Error message when trying to export as another PDF file type, or as another PDF with normal "save as":

    "The File may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

    I am using Acrobat 9 Pro on a Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6.

  18. DC Pro is totally unreliable, whether creating a pdf, trying to access a pdf or saving the program displays "DC Pro not responding. Happens very frequently making the program useless. Have worked with support 3 times no resolve. Occurs on both my WIN10 and WIN7 computers, never had a problem with ver 7 through 10. Pay lots for DC team but will have to look for another vendor.

  19. We need to be able to save WCAG compliant, semantic HTML files (e.g. from Firefox) as PDF/UA, but Adobe PDF does not offer this option. Saving as PDF/A does not produce a tagged (UA) file.

    Adobe's pdf print gadget should use the browser accessibility tree, and tag the PDF accordingly.

    PDF/UA has been an ISO standard since 2012. WCAG 2.1 was finalized in 2019, and WCAG 2.x compliance is now mandatory for public sector procurements in North America, the EU and various other jurisdictions.

    Can you please elaborate more the issue you are facing with the File rename eg where and when do you want to rename the file.
