Full Tools, Menu customisation
Acrobat DC wastes so much screen space in non-customisable areas - It is common to 'snap' the Acrobat Application to Half-Screen - but doing so hides many menu Tools, but ALWAYS leaves 'Home, Tools, Document & then The Login Name. - These are rarely (never) used.
Please allow them to be Hidden, Or return Menu/Tool icons to a 'normal' design/style as used in the previous 10 versions of Acrobat.
'PRO' does not = Tablet user.
We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (21.007.20091) is Live now and this Takes care of the Feature Request to Change the Display Size of the Acrobat without changing the Scaling/Resolution of the machine. This can be Done from “View” → “Display Size”. For now this is avaialble for windows only.
More Info Here : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html and go to “Change Acrobat Display Size”
Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.
Yes please! Even the icons are too big and too spaced out.
How do I get rid of the @#$@$$! Get Started screen that stays up when I close all document tabs? Very annoying. Previous version preference seems to have been removed. This annoyance is in Acrobat Pro DC 2017 and Reader on Windows
New tool bars are horrible. All single color and look very similar. Very hard to decipher which tool is which.
Limiting to a single line of tools is also problematic. Miss the ease of the older right hand menu too (example - extracting a page used to be very simple click; now it is 3-4 steps).
Much prefer the old version's (X) ease of use.

WOULD PREFER TOOL BARS/ICONS TO BE SMALLER. THEY TAKE UP TOO MUCH SPACE ON THE SCREEN.

Even on the new black themed layout, the icons are massive. It would be nice to be able to make those title bars slimmer and icons smaller to allow more visual and working space. Currently they just take up so much room and it really is not needed. That is what the magnification tool is for, people who need to see things larger than normal people.
Just get rid of the Home and Tools tab/bar all together. I find them annoying and not necessary. It would free up so much space. You already have the shortcuts you customize on either the actual toolbar or on the right side window.
TBH, I was using Acrobat Pro 11 for the LONGEST time, I unfortunately have to force myself to get used to this new interface.
Anyways, just my 2 cents.
Please make the icon size smaller or give users the option to make it smaller.
LET US DECIDE IF WE WANT TO SEE THE RECENT FILE MENU AND TURN IT OFF!!!!!

Interface is clunky and difficult to navigate. Full support of menu customization including ability to create user defined keyboard shortcuts and workspaces would be a huge improvement.

You can delete all recent files by clicking on 'Clear Recent Files' button at the bottom in 'Recent tab'

Hide the list of recent files when I launch Acrobat Pro DC

I have been searching for an option to permanently hide the tools pane that always pops up on the right side of the screen upon opening Acrobat Pro DC. After reading various blogs I see that it is apparently not possible to remove this from appearing, so I will have to manually hide it EVERY SINGLE TIME the program is opened. How annoying is that? Please include an option to disable this pane with the next update. I most often just need to use Acrobat for viewing documents, and rarely/never use any of the options in the Tools pane that take up such a large part of the default reading screen.

I find the user interface of Acrobat Pro DC to be intrusive and inefficient, especially the home screen which takes over the screen. I've installed DC three times since it came out, and each time I've deleted it within an hour because using it is so painful. One feature I use a lot is commenting, and commenting in DC is almost unusable. Perhaps if choosing the old interface were an option, then I might be able to upgrade. Until then, nope.

In addition, please allow customisation of the headings. I look for:
- "Pages" not "Organize Pages" (or "Page Organization" if you must)
- "Media" not "Rich Media"
- "Forms" not "Prepare Form"
I can't intuitively find anything in the new interface - the search tools works well, but if I'm having to use it to find everything the interface has failed.
I have been using Adobe products for 20+ years, and I am very irritated at the direction they are going. Why should I have to wait 1-5 seconds for a "home" screen to open; why do I have to FIND the tools I need, when the last iteration (sidebar tools, easily accessed) was so simple, so quick? And if the window is not full-screen, I have to click to access the icons in the toolbar because they are so large. I am a professional and work on a laptop. If you want to create an iPad-loving version, sell it as such.
Specifically on the toolbar customization, the search box should be able to be added (not just the find icon)
