In order to find the root cause of the issue :

1. Please provide Fiddler Logs. Below are the steps:

• Download fiddler from: https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler
• Run fiddler and go to ‘Tools→Options’
• In HTTPS tab, ensure the checkboxes are checked: ‘Capture HTTPs connects’ and ‘Decrypt HTTPs traffic’.
• Now let fiddler run and launch Acrobat and perform the same operation which causes Acrobat to crash.
• Once complete do a save of data by ‘File→Save→All sessions’.
• Please share this data.

2.Kindly enable automatic crash dump generation on your machine by following the below steps :

• Download the dump generation reg file from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/0ce1df07-ddd3-4b8f-9bda-13ce2260a198.
• Double click and run the dump.reg file.
• Once the registry is successfully applied, the crash dumps will get generated in “C:\dumps” folder.
• Try to reproduce the crash in Acrobat and share the dump with us.

Workaround : Before you try the workaround, kindly provide us the above details first.

• Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/ and sign in with your credentials.
• At the top right corner of the screen, you will see an dropdown with your username on it.
• Click it and go to Settings.
• Now you can either stop the auto fill suggestions by unchecking the “Suggest words….” checkbox or you simply press Clear All button and will clear all the auto fill entries which has been stored in your account.

Sorry for the issue that you are facing while using Adobe Acrobat.

I would request you to kindly share the Crash dumps when Reader Crashes for you.

Here is how you can collect the crash dump :

When Acrobat Crashes (If you get this error message “Adobe Acrobat has stopped working”) , Can you please share with us the Crash Logs .

For Getting the Crash Logs:

a. When Acrobat Crashes , Open Windows Task Manager

→ Got To Processes, There you can see a process “Adobe Acrobat DC” / Acrobat.exe

c. Right Click on this process and click “Create Dump File”

d. Dump file will be created in the Temp folder of the user (as specified on the dialog you get after creating dump files).

e. Save this DMP file on any Cloud Storage and Share the link for that with us on mail at sagrover@adobe.com

We will try to analyze your issue on priority once you share this information with us.

3. Does this happen with all PDF files? If possible can you please share a sample file with which the crash can be reproduced.
