It's a shame, that Acrobat makes it such a harmfully experience to lower the filesize of a pdf (coming from photoshop Artboard to PDF Export), that actually does nothing!
Filesize goes from 18 MB to 17,5 MB or something (if it even works without errors you can't debug because you can't do something about it).
In the end I have to buy and use third party tools like pdf squeezer (for mac).
One click, and it shrinks the 18 MB to 600 KB! Without lowering the quality!!
Adobe please work on your UI for Acrobat Pro.
Or even better: Work on PDF Export options (with artboards) from Photoshop. It hurts!!!

Great to know that it works for you.
For the blank screen, can you please try restarting Acrobat application once? Before you open Acrobat again, please check there are no processes like "AcroCEF" or "AcroCEF helper" in task manager (Windows)/activity monitor (Mac). If there are any such processes, please try killing those before relaunching Acrobat.
Let us know if that helps.

Hey! That worked!
Still I'm wondering why this ain't a preset for "Save PDF with lower filesize".
Did you see my screenshot of the blank screen?
We looked further into this, with the testfiles you provided. We would like to let you know that there is an option in Acrobat Advanced Optimization dialog, as shown in attached snapshot, which needs to be checked while performing optimization, to get reduced file size. For this, launch Acrobat and go to Optimize PDF->Advanced Optimization->Discard User Data and check the option “Discard private data of other applications”. Optimizing the testfile you shared with us, we got a PDF of ~600KB.
Could you please try the mentioned setting and see if that works for you?
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Can you please share a sample file and some details about your workflow (photoshop Artboard to PDF Export) with us to investigate this problem? Also, please let us know the version of Acrobat that you are using.
