  1. I do a lot of commenting and the commenting tools used to work much better.
    Here are my top wishes:
    1. Instant 'add note to replace text'. It used to work, so that if you highlighted a word or a sentence, all you needed to do was to start writing and the text would appear in a blue comment box.
    2. When reviewing comments in a document, I really need an up and down arrow, so I can jump through all comments one at a time.
    3. Allow for ALL the commenting tools to be available in the main tool…

  2. In Acrobat 9, the "comments" window displayed the COLOR of the corresponding sticky note (there was a small sticky note icon in each window that showed the color of the corresponding note).It was possible to quickly view and navigate to related pages/sections of the PDF even if the page was not directly viewable; I could quickly scan for all comments that were associated with a RED sticky note, or a BLUE one, etc, by simply scrolling through the comments -- it was not necessary to view the actual page of the PDF to check the color of the sticky note.

  3. There used to be a wide variety of stamps available for accountants some of which were encircled numbers and letters as well as accounting tick marks which included check marks TB GL and things of the sort. I was told these were not put into the newer versions of acrobat but are extremely useful when marking up workpapers. Please add this feature into Acrobat 2017 Pro

  4. The "Select object" tool is only available in the Pro version under "Rich Media". The tool is very useful for selecting text boxes and shapes. There is no alternative to the tool in the Standard version of Acrobat. Please make it or something similar available in the Standard version.

  5. A recent update made the circles in the corners of lines drawn with the pencil tool or small stamps applied absolutely HUGE, obscuring the line/stamp itself as well as the text below it.

    This makes it near impossible to properly position a line/stamp and also to see what the heck it is when you select it in the comments pane.

    I work in publishing, and we need to be able to precisely place proofreading marks and be able to read them so we can see what to do with the source text file.

  6. The dynamic stamp creation process is very difficult, at best. The random names for the stamps makes it extremely difficult to find which stamp you're working on after the stamp has been named during creation. Having to navigate deep into the file system to find a randomly named file is not user friendly by any stretch of the imagination. I'm attempting to make 100 dynamic stamps for our engineering company, not just one or two stamps.

  8. I think Highlighting tool needs improvement to be more dynamic in the reader's hand, change the highlight colour and the option to name the colour is important, like 'main idea' 'to summarise' ...etc.
    there is a good example for highlighting in the app Bookshelf.

  9. When changing an existing text box font color from the default color to a different color, the next time I open and use a text box, the font color is whatever color I last used.

    This is a nuisance, make it stop, if I set up a 'set as default' the font color for any 'new' text should stay that color, no matter if I change the font color later or not.

    The font color has different meanings (Actionable inputs) associated with the colors, when the action has been accomplished, I change the font color, this doesn't mean I want…

  10. I use annotated pdfs all day every day to get client edits and apply them in InDesign. I can't tell you (but I will attempt to try) how maddening it is to simply copy text from a comment box to paste into InDesign. Why can I not simply select the text?! I have to double click on the text that I want to copy, which opens a white box around the text. If I then double click again to select the text (without moving the cursor) it closes the box without copying the text! Instead of simply selecting the text…

  12. I often deal with PDFs with hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of edits. The Comments panel in Acrobat DC includes way too much blank space, including a title line ("Strikethrough Text", "Highlighted Text", etc.) and needlessly provides a default "Type your reply..." area for every comment. This isn't Facebook (meaning, replies aren't always necessary). Please provide preferences that allow comments to appear in more compact form, as they did with Acrobat X or Acrobat 11.

  14. I want to be able to resize the comment list to a smaller size than currently available. Right now, the minimum width is much too big for my small laptop. It takes up three inches of the width of my screen space. The total width of the screen is 11.5 inches, which leaves not much for the actual document, especially if I'm looking at two-page spreads.

    Even when I used a huge 25-inch wide screen I need as much space as possible to compare two documents side by side. The wide comment lists get in the way.

  15. When I insert or replace or add, I want it to say in the Comments box that this particular task is being done, as it used to. When I have deleted something, nothing at all appears in the box except an ambiguous icon. How is the person reading the comment supposed to know what was done?

  18. When adding a stamp to a document, it automatically adds an additional blank comment as well. This is new and unexpected behavior. The file attached has 3 stamps on it but 6 comments were created - there should only be 3 comments created by the stamps.

  19. In our day-to-day work, we have documents that are required to be signed on each page (or at least stamped on each page). My current work-around is that I have loaded a 'stamp' into the initials field in Adobe DC and use this to identify each page in a report that I issue.

    An example is attached which shows the green coloured "Audit Identified Only" stamp on the top right of each page. This 'stamp' has been applied as a signature (using initials) on each page.
