  2. Graduate students, researchers and practitioners are required to stay up-to-date in their area of expertise. This means they regularly read academic papers, white papers, e-books, reports, and other documents that come as PDF.

Having a quick way to switch between colors when highlighting and commenting text (i.e., without relying on the "Comment" menu on the top of the screen) would allow more effective reading.

This could be easily implemented by including a "color" command in the contextual menu that pops up when hovering the mouse on the top of highlighted text (right now it shows "Add comment" and "delete" only).

  3. In previous versions the Ctrl+F box would appear and you would type your text and hit enter. When searching your next text using the Ctrl+F shortcut would automatically highlight the last search text so you could automatically start typing your new 'find' text. With the new update, it doesn't highlight the last search text, instead it puts the cursor at the end of your last text making you backspace the text or stop and click to highlight the text. This is a huge efficiency loss!! Please help!

  4. When I place a comment, a trash can icon or sticky note icon appears, but those icons only get in the way of the content I'm trying to comment on. It would be great to be able to disable that feature.

  5. When using the add comment text tool the text appears normal when initially typed but fades when clicked away from. The support agents I spoke with said there should be an opacity slider for that tool however there is only the option to change color.

  7. There's no problem when words are typed in serial order.

However if you insert some Korean characters in the middle of any strings and 'enter the SPACE key', the last one of the charaters is entered forcefully at the end of the strings.

It is impossble to add or insert some Korean words in the middle of the strings in comments. So we have to use ctrl+C and ctrl+V. it's really uncomfortable. Please fix it. All the versions of acrobat including the latest version have the same bug.

  8. Please create a manual sort/ shuffle function for comments to improve team project and instruction communication.

The idea is to be able to shuffle comments around and print them in a 'manual sort' order rather than most recently updated.
Often comments need to be viewed in a particular order to make sense.
Or they may need to be actioned in a particular order to work properly

This is especially true for visual or construction/ workflow based projects but we don't always think "in order" so being able to shuffle our comments would allow us to improve our communication before sharing…

  10. I need to be able to manipulate multiple non-adjacent comments. Example: select many comments and unlock all, or mark all with checkmark. Just as shift+click will select all comments between the first and last click, ctrl+click should select one and another without affecting those in between.

  11. Recreate Bug:

    Open document
    Open Comment Tools
    Display Comment Window
    Highlight text to replace
Create comment by highlighting text and typing.

Bug: The first character will be shown in the popup bubble and the comment window, but the rest will not be shown until the mouse is clicked away from the comment, completing the comment.

  12. In the comments pane, is there an option to hide the page numbers or make them non-selectable? I'm finding it difficult to maneuver/advance to the next comment using the down arrow (or tab). With the upgrade to DC, Adobe "selects" the page number as you're tabbing through. i can no longer smoothly go from comment to comment

  15. When I open my coworker's copy of a PDF with most of the 500+ comments checked as addressed, I don't see his check marks. I have Version 2019.019.010.20100. He has an earlier version. The commenting feature no longer makes collaboration easy. Is this a result of the update?

  17. The summary of the comments creates a page for each corresponding comment. For example, page 2 has 3 comments, page 6 has one comment, etc. The summary creates a page for the comments on page 2 and page 6. Because the comments already identify the page where they are located, we should be able to simply get a list of all the comments in a document. All comments on 1 page or more if a bunch of comments. In my example, assuming the comments are not lengthy, the summary should generate 1 page with comments consecutively from pages 2 and…

  20. Steps:
    1. Turn off tabbed browsing (if it's not already)
    2. Open multiple documents, at least one with comments.
    3. Open the comments panel and click a comment to select it.
    4. Close the window.

    Expected result:
One document closes or asks to save if modified.

    Result:
    Acrobat crashes
