  4. I always used the tick box while reviewing, using a filter so that comments I processed also disappeared. It was an easy and intuitive way of editing the source text with the help of the comments in the PDF. After the last update, the tick box is gone and now hidden. You have to click the dots in the top right corner of the comment, then select 'Set status' and then click the status. That's THREE clicks instead of one. NOT user friendly, NOT intuitive, NO improvement. Please give me back my tick box!

  5. Hi, Yesterday when I opened Acrobat DC, and I viewed comments, I could check off the comment as completed right there in the comment's own panel. today when I opened the same program, in order to mark a comment as completed, I have to open two levels of a flyout menu.
How do I unbury this check box so I do not have to add twice as much clicking to my proofreading process?

  7. In previous versions of Acrobat I was able to Check a comment (typically once I had made an edit to my InDesign doc). By setting the filter to show unchecked comments only I was systematically able to go through a set of clients edits. In the new version of Acrobat you have removed the ability to just click to check a comment. I now have to open a drop down menu and select it. This is really annoying when you have a large document with over 100 comments (as I regularly do).

Please return the simple check box to the…

  9. When I insert or replace or add, I want it to say in the Comments box that this particular task is being done, as it used to. When I have deleted something, nothing at all appears in the box except an ambiguous icon. How is the person reading the comment supposed to know what was done?

  10. A customer explained that he opened a document shared for review in Acrobat. He was working with a colleague who was adding comments in the same review on the web. While comments were syncing periodically, he wanted the option to manually check for new comments in addition.

  11. Since the latest update (running Adobe Acrobat Pro V2019.008.20074) adding comments (drawing lines, connected lines or rectangles) randomly causes the comment dialog box to appear for those markups. This was not a problem before the update. Upon opening the document, several dialog "bubbles" appear on the side of the document. They disappear as soon as one opens the comment pane. This is clearly a bug. Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.
Expected result: no dialog box, just display comments created.
Observed result: random dialog boxes are added, even though not added by user.

  12. The new version has reduced rather than increased my functionality. I can no longer draw red boxes around particularly important passages.

  13. I view PDFs on a 27" screen so two open PDFs fit side by side, making review easier. I no longer see the % field in the tool section at top of each PDF. While I can, with multiple steps (4), change the view % size, it used to be so easy to just change the visible % field as needed—1 step. Usually, I need the annotated PDF at 75% and the revised PDF at 100% (this allows for the wide comment column to be seen.). I have searched all the tool preferences that I can find, but can not…

  14. Each new release you make takes away from my productivity!

    1. The new version of Acrobat Pro shows the right col. Comment list by name of commenter, but I need to see the entire list of the marked comments/changes. This function seems to have disappeared with the recent release. The comment col. as a scroll list view showing all corrections/changes is also a great checklist to make sure all client and manager changes have been made. I review and proofread many, many PDFs each day and it's very frustrating to have to open each comment one-by-one.
    2. Each opened comment…

  15. It would be so cool to have LaTeX support in the comments. So that people can jot mathematical notes for themselves while reading.

  18. Every time I clicked on Highlight Text and highlighted something in the PDF, the highlight text pen automatically changed to the cursor, so that I can only highlight for one time and then I have to click on the highlight text pen before I highlight another item. That is, I cannot highlight the PDF consecutively. This is SO BAD.

  19. When using the latest Acrobat DC to share Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic Form for review on the cloud, I was able to receive the document on the participant side, but the document didn't show, instead I see a message as usual because it is a dynamic form, which is expected. But, I was able to use commenting tools online to draw and add comments, which seemed very strange. When I opened the document from the originating reviewer using Acrobat, I saw the comments and drawing, which is shocking. I tried to add comments, it didn't let me, which is expected. Please…

  20. You need to clean-up / simplify your comment circle icons, the previous version had non-distracting icons, in the newest version all I can pay attention to is how poor the "text-replace" icon is, scales poorly.
